How can they possible consider Nicole a supporting actress?  Good grief, she let the time on screen for several months before she went on maternity.  If she isn’t a lead actress, I don’t know who is.

I don’t know who else is nominated, but I think it would be a tragedy if James Scott didn’t win.  I think he is the BEST actor I have seen on a soap that I can remember!!  This last year especially, between learning of Grace being his child and dying, then Nicole deceiving him.

Bonbon: The actors themselves decide what category (lead or supporting) to submit themselves in. Actors who are 25 or younger are placed in the younger actor categories.

Sydney can’t read or write yet!  And she should be nominated and win!

I didn’t know that.  Thanks for the info, Jason.  Maybe that means she feels she has a better chance in that category.  IMO, she was certainly a lead actress though.

I certainly can’t see anyone else from DOOL receiving any top honors.  I don’t believe anyone now, even Ari Zuker, comes close to Kristian when compared to that time in her and Bo’s life.  If the actors nominate themselves and the story lines they want to put themselves up for, that explains a lot to me.   I don’t remember now if Kristian was even nominated for Zach’s death story line, but if she was and did not receive the Emmy, it’s no wonder most of the actors don’t even care to participate.   IMHO, nominating one’s self makes them appear to be begging for recognition.  DOOL actors are better than that, Maybe that’s why we don’t see more DOOL actors being nominated.   I mean, I could care less about the technical nominations.  Let’s face it, the lighting is poor, the sets are ancient (all 3 of them), hair, make-up, wardrobe certainly leaves something to be desired, and as for a winning writing team …. well, I’ll stop here.

That’s a little silly that the actors have to nominate themselves!  It kind of takes the honor out of it, doesn’t it?
