By accident because I read comings/goings, but without that knowledge, haven’t they shown on the show Stephano calling the person who has the baby?
They haven’t shown Stephano alone and tortured, he is always with someone (Kate) and I feel keeping the act up. I don’t think he wants Kate to know, because I think he knows Kate wouldn’t stand for it. No matter how evil Kate is, I don’t think she wants to see EJ hurting and he knows that.
He is concerned about Hope and Bo and therefore getting involved in this. I don’t think he has ANY feelings for Hope at all, other than a close friend. But I think this conflict now is a to set up a love/hate relationship with Carly that will eventually become complete love between the two of them.
I like Ari a lot and she was 2009.
I also agree, I like Chad and I hope they give him more material and don’t let him fall now that the Mia SL is over.
I have to say out of all the years, this year is the best for new characters. they have done a very good job of developing new characters in the last 1 1/2 years. I especially like Rafe, but he was end of 2008. Brady was also a good recast, but again he was end of 2008. Took me a little bit to figure out when he was on air, but it was around the same time as Rafe. I remember Rafe, because of witness protection and getting the Penguins around Christmas time.
My guess the 300,000 fans wwere not lost fans, but an artificial bump from people being home the week before from Thanksgiving. Or did I get the dates wrong because I am not sure whether last week meant the week before last week or this actual last week
Chelsea was just becoming a very likable character with a great background story. Same with Max and the two of them together was great. I think I miss them the most and they had the most Storyline potential moving forward.
I think she is very happy with her life right now and would not want to come back yet. I agree I would love them back, but since I can’t. I think my favorite person to bring back would be Eric. Also a new love interest of some kind for him. I think that would be it. Mainly because most of the vets I would want back I wouldn’t want their relationships tested any more. Therefore, I wouldn’t mind some new young couples (like we have with Brady & Ari) to be on canvess. Then play with some older pairings (Vic & Caroline) that are not established yet. Then some middle age couples like Justin & Carly.
Bringing back old favorite couples like John, Marlena, Kayle, & Steve don’t work. The writers don’t know how to write for them and not mess with their relationship. So what SL is there for these couples? We don’t like when they are broken up at all and therefore you can’t have too many "happy" couples on canvess.
Is with Shawn. I would take a recast over Belle and Phillip being together. She was never a playful and free with Phillip as she was with Shawn. She was more loveable, cheerful, cute, everything with Shawn. With Phillip she was always too serious, which I did not like. Belle can grow up and still be young cute and fun.
I LOVED Justin when he was on before. I always thought he was cute and thought his character was great. So far I am enjoying him and I am looking forward to maybe a pairing with Carly.
This whole SL is just dumb. I wouldn’t mind a little difficulty when Carly came back in town and some misunderstandings. But really Bo and Hope should be a stronger couple than this. At this point Hope should move back in with the understanding Bo is helping Carly. And again, they can have those situations where Hope misunderstands the situation, but it doesn’t have to be all cold shoulder.
I imagine the wig is not coming off until she returns from maternity leave. Because by then it will be plausible she grew out her hair and dyed it back again. But as of now, it isn’t suposed to be a wig, so there is no way she could instantly grow out her hair.
I think it is cool how it is down to two people and the audience doesn’t know which one. I believe the writers know which person it is, they are just going to wait until the last minute to tell us. I see this SL going on for several months.
I personally do not understand why Hope NEEDS to know the secreat between Bo and Carly. I mean really, is that the reason Hope won’t come back?!? How lame is that. Couples all the time have friends of their own and they don’t always tell each other the secreats of their friends. If it has nothing to do with the couple, which Bo has stated, then what is the big deal? It is something Carly does not want the whole world to know and lately Hope has not been able to keep her mouth shut. So I don’t blame them.
1. Less woman stay at home these days
2. Many people "tape" their soaps and watch them later which until recently was not counted in the Nielson ratings
3. More channels to select from during the day. It used to be you only had a couple stations to choice from, now you can watch History, science, lifetime, etc.
4. It is much cheaper to create a talk show or game show, which can draw in just as big of an audience these days. For some reason we are obsessed with people real messed up lives. So why not replace a soap with a show that is MUCH cheaper to produce.
5. Budget cuts because of the above 4 reasons have made soaps lose viewers. They can’t keep all the expensive actors and actresses, they have less and not as good writers, and sets and other things are not as good.
These are just some of the reasons I can think of, but I am sure others can think of more.
Children all the time don’t look like their parents on TV, so that is not a big deal. And I don’t think it is a real re-writing of history. I mean we don’t know anything about Mel’s past growing up and her mother has never been mentioned. So far I think this is a good SL and we know that Bo and Carly will never have anything between them now. In fact I see Carly and Justin will end up together.
