but even sader is the fact that more children are born out of wedlock in this country than within marriage. Children born to single mothers have a better chance of living in poverty than in a two-parent home. Don’t get me started on this subject. I feel for the children and wish writers would show the consequences of having babies when the mother has no income and no husband.
But no accent this time. Maybe Hope is prone to alter egos/multiple personalities, and the stress of Bo leaving her for Carly has pushed her over the edge. What I cannot figure out is why is she stalking power players in Salem to attack? Will Bo be the next one when he returns? Maybe Carly will be the one to come to her aid when it is uncovered that she is the attacker. I hope it is Bo is rescues her after realizing his stupidity.
But I want it to include some closure on the issues they keep bringing up over and over..like what Bo did when Ciara was kidnapped; and what Hope did with Patrick; and Billie and Billie and Billie…
Maybe that’s a good angle; he’ll come to Salem, fall for Steph, find out he is E.J.’s half brother and somehow a Brady; so Steph will be dating a first cousin instread of an uncle. Hmmmm. Forget it! This town is way to inbred.
She can do it, too. And she is no dumb blond. Nicole would catch on to what E.J. has been up to, and would have seen what E.J. was up to wanting to spend the night with Sydney and Johnny.
she is surrounded by so many children and everyone keeps saying she is such a good mother. The writers must be pushing her into the role of "good mother". But I must say that as soon as she got Sydney back she dumped her onto several different people. If my kidnapped baby had just returned I would let her out of my sight for months, maybe years.
I guess, though, things are at the point now that daytime dramas are only renewed year-to-year, rather than the longer term contracts they once got. Are any of the others receiving 2-5 year contracts?
I know what it IS NOT: E.J.’s obsessive yearning for Sami. Real love would want the best for their loved one. E.J. cannot stand Sami to have anything but what he wants her to have. That is sickness, not love.
I thought the stories were good back then. O.K., they weren’t perfect, but they were often about real problems (rebellious children, lost love, betrayal, etc.). When JER wrote for Days it was ridiculous. The stories were focused on the occult and threads of stories were simply dropped left and right. The kidnapping story has been dragging out a bit too long, I agree, but it is more interesting than anything JER ever wrote.
for her new daughter-in-law..where I see this going is infidelity. Whether she loves Nathan or not, Melanie is married to Philip now. She needs to keep Lucus’s ex in mind before she falls back into Nathan’s arms.
Bonnie was the one who married Mickey and owned the saloon when everyone thought Red was dead. I loved her as the crazy Bonnie and wish that character would return.
I remember when she(as Alice Horton) and Tom Horton jointly were the anchor of the family. Wish we had a couple like that again. Francis Reid was a fine actress and we will all miss her. I wonder though, will they have Alice Horton pass on or will they just not mention her again like so many other characters. I hope they at least will take a moment to mention the death of one of the finest actresses to ever appear on Days.
You are right about what looks like a deleted scene from when the child was watching, then Caroline and Maggie appeared. The computer was closed, so you have to wonder if one of the grownups saw it and shut screen. Bad editing.
How many episodes will pass before Ceara tells someone(mommy Hope or maybe Melanie) that Carly is Melanie’s mother. Hope may already know from the letters she found.
