I also didn’t enjoy Marci as Abigail her first go around.  I definitely prefer Kate Mansi in the role.

I would have liked to see more of the former contestants. And maybe hear where some of the pros went. Kelly Monaco danced with Val that night but when she won her season, her partner was Alec. And yes, I’ll bet that Derrick was very upset at not being able to participate.

The judges table is too crowded with 4 judges–not everyone gets a chance to give their critique of the dances and that probably bothered Len, plus it’s probably hard to get back into the groove after being away for several weeks. But I also don’t understand why they seem to prop Michael Waltrip. You’re right; he’s not a dancer and has not improved at all but they keep praising him and telling him they know how hard he’s trying and good job, etc. But I felt like they were almost always criticizing Antonio Saboto Jr and I felt like he did more dancing than Waltrip. And Tommy Chong really isn’t that great either but he keeps on going too. But in the end, it is a popularity contest and if you have a lot of people voting for you, you continue on. Although I always think that the judges can affect the scores–at least if they would score some dancers appropriately!

I agree with you about Amy–while it is absolutely amazing what she is able to do on the dance floor, I had the very same thoughts about her marks. The judges can get very picky about foot placement and Amy is not able to accomplish some of those moves because her feet don’t point and flex like others but is that fair to the other stars that get docked because their feet can move? And I also agree about Nene-she can go anytime.

Canada aired the episode on Friday that wasn’t seen in the USA that day. Since we now air the same episode each day instead of the day ahead, Canada didn’t show the episode again. Tuesday’s episode should be the same one in both countries.

Who decides that these are the favorites?  I assume there was some kind of online poll to choose although I never saw one.  But I really didn’t want to see Philip again or Brandon.  But I guess I should be happy that at least they didn’t bring Russell back.  I know he has said he’s done but you never know what might intice him back.  And there are some ‘favorites’ that I don’t remember even though I’ve watched all the seasons!  But then, that maybe speaks more to my memory!

I’ve had to remove DOOL from my DVR.  I simply cannot stomach watching Sami and EJ together–they make me feel physically ill.  And watching her trash Rafe left and right doesn’t help.  Can’t watch Brady being such an idiot again–turning his back on his entire family, all for Kristin.  I have actually never liked Sonny and Will together; I don’t see anything between them.  And then reading the spoiler about what Rafe does–simply cannot watch anymore.  Will keep reading the comments though!

That’s interesting–I’m with Telus Optik TV and my on screen guide gives the same preview statements for the Canadian channels as it does for the US channels.  The day ahead in Canada (at least for me) disappeared almost a year ago and I see the same episode, whether I’m watching a Canadian channel or a US channel each day.

but unfortunately, because she is not EJ’s daughter, she is not allowed screen time!  Only EJ’s children are allowed to be in the story.  JMO, of course.

I saw the whole show yesterday here in Canada.  I’m on MST.  But because most people didn’t see it, I’m assuming they will either replay the episode here on Monday or we will have something else on it’s time slot.

And how annoying was it for everyone to expect Nicole to bow down at the alter of Jennifer and thank her from the bottom of her heart (sarcasm included!) for not pressing charges and giving Nicole her life back!  At least Hope had the decency to squirm and apologize(sort of) after Nicole yelled at her about losing her baby and losing Daniel and really, losing everything.  It’s sad–Jennifer used to be one of my favorites and now I often fast forward her scenes because I can’t stand the martyr that she has become–completely unrecognizable to me.

Sami and EJ make me sick to my stomach also.  The second they are on together, I hit the FF button.  Actually most of the time I hit the FF if EJ is on my screen in any capacity.  He just makes me feel ill, no matter who he’s on with.  I could not watch as he ranted about Jennifer murdering his child, I can’t stand watching him with Nicole anymore, I just don’t want to see him at all!  I wish they would give him a long rest somewhere off camera and then if he came back truly changed, maybe I could start to tolerate him again.

I’m not sure I have a favorite yet that I want to win but I agree with you, MK, about Bristol.  This is not about how she has improved and I honestly did not think that she deserved 8s for her score.  I did wonder a bit though, that maybe the judges thought if they didn’t put her at the bottom of the scoreboard, her fanbase would feel that she was safer and not go crazy voting for her.  Does that make sense?

As for Kelly, I don’t mind her, but I agree that she just doesn’t seem to smile much.  And that hanging all over Val was definitely weird.  But there was a brief mention that she broke one of her toes Monday morning, and her dance was done barefoot so I can imagine that she was trying to block out anything around her and was just concentrating on getting through her dance.  The second her dance was done, she was holding her right foot up off the floor.  And I am sure that is why Val carried her down the stairs and then up the other stairs.  If she gets through to next week, I have to wonder how she is going to practice with that broken toe.

I agree that Kirstie Alley was quite inappropriate with that ridiculous kiss last night.  The one thing though, that I thought should happen with the all-star season, is that everyone should have had a new partner.  I don’t like that they’ve paired some couples back together; it feels like they will have an advantage because they have already worked together and are comfortable with each other.  I would have liked to see everyone starting fresh.  And I agree about Pam Anderson and Bristol Palin–I don’t care which one goes first but the other one should follow next week.  After that, I’m not sure who should go.  I really do like most all of them!
