I never once even thought about Maggie and Victor having an affair.  I would imagine them becoming very good friends with a lot of banter like they had today.  Of course, if they’re going to become a super couple, we’d eventually have to toss Vivie overboard but I’m in no hurry for that.  Let them enjoy each other’s company (Mag and Vic) for a good while.

    Maggie and Victor…Magtor?  Victie?

I know there are less than they used to have but let’s try to list them all.  You may be surprised.

Victor’s outside entryway, living room, his foyer, Hope’s bedroom, his patio area, his swimming pool,

Stephano’s foyer, "all purpose room," his entrance,  (BTW, did you ever notice that the pillows that match Victor’s couch are on Stephano’s couch?)

The Brady Pub, Arianna’s room, the outside of the Pub,

Java Cafe and outside entrance, two different dock sets (one with stairs, one without), park, cemetery,

Sami’s place (which may now be gone), the outside hallway,

Chloe and Dan’s apartment and outside hallway,

Cop Shop, Bo’s office, the main room, the interagation room, jail cell (and the cell Shane and Rafe are in looks like a different one to me),

Dr. Baker’s room and the poker room,

Bo and Hope’s living room (they have shown the kitchen but maybe that’s gone), and their outside entrance,

Maggie’s outside entrance, kitchen, and we saw her living room during Mickey’s funeral which may now also be gone,

Is the Horton cabin still around?

Two University Hospital nurses station and two different patient rooms,

We’ve seen the church and hospital chapel on occasion.

Have I forgotten anything?  Anyone who has ever visited the Days set will attest to the fact that it’s quite large. In spite of the individual sets being much smaller than they appear, put together, it takes up quite a bit of room.

If they want to economize (and I’ve mentioned this before), they should cut down on all the flowers they have.  Everybody, plus the hospital, always have fresh flowers on the set.  Even if they are artificial, they’re still expensive.  And did you see how many were at the wedding?  I know it’s a small thing, but…

that Chloe and Dan had already made all the wedding arrangements and that Dan only moved up the date because the church and priest were available.  So all he would have had to do was to call everybody with the new date.  Am I wrong?

She can’t possibly be that stupid to not realize what Vivian was talking about with getting Carly in the elevator…can she?  Now if she goes along with this, I’m writing Chloe off my list permanently.  At least Nichole hasn’t tried to kill anybody.  I can’t believe Chloe, could, or would, stoop to that!

how is a Catholic priest going to marry Chloe?  She’s been married twice before and I’ve never heard of any annulments taking place.  Besides, would the church grant TWO annulments?  I doubt it very much.

but I don’t think they should tell anybody.  It’s unfortunate that Carly and Nathan found out but I don’t see that it will do anybody any good to confess their indiscretion.  Yeah, I know, the truth is supposed to be better but I can’t see what good could possibly come of telling Daniel and Melanie.  They both will be horribly hurt, their trust in their partners will be destroyed, and Mel’s relationship with her future step-mother will be irrepairably damaged.

AFAIC, the guilt they are suffering from now is their punishment for betraying their loved ones and they should just have to live with that.  I mean, really, someone tell me what the upside could be if Chloe (or Philip) comes clean.  Since it only happened once, there was certainly no emotional involvement, and I believe it will never happen again, I can’t imagine any good coming from confessing.  And, if it should come out in the future, it will be further in the past and that could make it a little easier to forgive.

I don’t believe it’s always the best policy to be painfully truthful.  It’s kind of like when you tell your wife, no, those pants don’t make you look fat.  But, that’s JMO.  Feel free to disagree.

to taps.  Thanks for posting them.

I watched the Memorial Day Tribute on PBS last night and must have shed a whole cupful of tears.  How moving it was.  I have had two husbands, two sons, two brothers, and three nephews in the service, and a brother-in-law who was MIA in Korea and never found, so I am very much a strong supporter of our military people.  Last night they played each service’s theme song/anthem and the people in the audience who were in that particular branch stood.  OMG!  That was so very touching.  They had women who were in their 80s from the war there (well, men too) and they all looked so proud.

So, I salute all the men and women who are, or have ever been, in the service of our great country and spend a quiet moment for all those who have passed on.

Don’t forget to PUT OUT YOUR FLAG today!    Show that you care!

I was hoping they’d appeal to more than teens/tweens but, I’ll take whatever I can get.  Thanks for your input.  I really love making them so hope I can sell some.

He looked so much better when he was on Celebrity Jeopardy a couple of weeks ago but he sure looked old and tired today.  Either they made him up to look like that or he had on really "good" makeup on Jeopardy.

Whatever, it was sure good to see him.  I knew he’d be back for Mrs. H’s funeral but didn’t expect him so soon.  I guess that means we’ve got him for several weeks anyway.  Yippee skippy!

You put that much better than I could have.  And regardless of my political views, and I’ll admit to being a staunch Republican, those kind of remarks just don’t belong on a show like Days.  I could accept it on a sitcom or Leno or Letterman but like you say, it can easily alienate fans with differing views.  I don’t know why TPTB don’t understand that.

That said, I think much of our country has gone way overboard with their political correctness these days.  I’ll have to include myself because of my comments here.  But I wish we could just consider the sources when things like these errupt.  It seems like more and more. people (especially in politics and the entertainment business) have to walk on eggs with what they say.  Why not just let people say what they want and everybody else consider the source.  If you’re offended, well, that’s your problem.

I find the same thing in what’s going on now with Jesse James’ cheating on Sandra Bullock.  Everybody is making him out to be one step removed from Satan (add Tiger Woods in this too).  Although I certainly don’t condone what these guys did and think it’s dispicable what they’ve done to their wives, if every man who cheated on his wife were vilified as these guys were/are (and all others who’ve done the same thing…and we can name many of them), there wouldn’t be a whole lot of "good guys" left.  And I don’t think everybody should be so quick to advocate divorce for them.  How about working things out and keeping families together.  If you truly love someone, you try to solve the issues, no matter how henious, and get on with your lives.  You hear so many women say if their partner cheated on them, they’d be out the door in a second.  Is that really the best solution?

Well, sorry for the rant but I just felt I had to tell somebody.  Our country is going to hell in a handbasket and I think these kinds of things are helping speed it along.  <stepping off soapbox now>  Isn’t it great to have this venue to spout off on?

I’m so afraid some day "they" are going to be right.  Soaps have been popular since the 40s (or maybe even the 30s, I’m not sure) so I don’t understand why they are now falling out of favor.  First it was the game shows that went (and I loved a lot of them), then the soaps.  Will the talk shows be next?  Although I don’t much care for any of them.  What will we have all day, informercials!  Aaaarrrgggghhh!

and pre-empting Days to talk about the oil spill, why doesn’t he just do something about it?  This is not a political comment.  I just don’t see what going going on air is doing.  I know it’s a disaster but talking about it is not going to stop the oil from spewing out.  This is something the Secretary of the Interior (or Energy, or whomever is in charge of oil spills) and BP should be discussing.

    STOP TAKING AWAY OUR ADDICTION!
