But, you’re right, it’s kind of unfair for Matt to win so much to maybe be kicked out later in the game.  But…that’s the way the game is played.  I just hope he keeps winning.  But I fear if he comes up against Boston Rob, he’s going to be in big trouble.  And that’s probably not too far away.

I have friends who are black and white and are happily married.  I just said that after growing up in the 50s when it was frowned upon, I’m still having a hard time accepting it.  I understand we’re all the same under our skin and please don’t think I am prejudiced in any way.  Just something I grew up with that’s hard to get over.

another unsuccessful knock-off of AI.  Look how many there have already been that didn’t even make the second season.

I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want to see them.  Isn’t that part of the experience of entertainment?  Interesting concept but no interest from this corner.

Pammy, I disagee about not seeing defendants in court.  Mannerisms and body language contribute a lot to determining a person’s guilt.  If you don’t think they should be seen, everything in a trial could just be reduced to print or a CD.  Big-time attorneys now even hire body language experts to help them out.  I think every means of getting to the truth should be used.  JMO, of course.

Do you remember Vern (from The Spectator) had a son who was gay and was hot for Jack.  Of course he was played more as a cartoon character than a real-life gay man.  In most cases, you can’t tell a gay person from a straight unless you see them in a relationship so I guess that’s the direction they intend to go.

Although I have no problem with homosexuality, I can understand those who do because I still have a hard time accepting a pairing between a black and white person.  It used to be considerably taboo but now it’s very acceptable and, I think, also being forced down our throats in the media.  I guess they feel they have to do it to stay "hip" and fulfill their I’m-modern-and-open-minded quota.

First of all, he’s a surgeon and I don’t believe he’d ever risk injuring his hands by punching someone out.  Not only that, it’s not a very mature thing to do.  People like Rafe2 do things like that, not a well-respected, well-educated doctor.  Just another case of the writers ruining a once-loved character.  Almost as bad as seeing Victor punch someone, sooooo out of character.

it hadn’t looked so contrived.  Did you notice how both ladies turned their heads to make sure they got cake on their faces?  Sorry, not well done.

I can understand how Ciera feels.  My youngest son was 15 when we were beginning our divorce and he and some frends went out one night and cut the heck out of a chain link fence.  When we asked him what possibly possessed him to do that, he said he thought if he got into trouble, we’d get back together to help him out.  Boy, the way kids think.

I thought Ciera did a fabulous job showing her emotions when she was listing to Bope.  It’s one thing to say lines but to portray her feelings that well was very well done.  I think she’s going to turn out to be quite the little actress.

since Tamara Braun is coming to Days and she has already played a lesbian, I’m thinking it’ll be her and she’ll try to hit on Carly, Jen, or Chloe.  None of this is very appealing to me.  (But at least she’d leave EJ alone to continue on with Nicole.)

I’m wondering which is more important to TPTB, being so-called "hip" with a same-sex pairing or making/keeping their viewers happy.  I guess we’ll find out.

I already had in mind what I was going to paint, I just needed a theme name for them.  I’m not an accomplished painter and have to go with what I can do.  But those were really some great ideas.

BTW, I have the beach scene one done and am quite pleased with it.  Now if the underwater fish scene comes out as well, I’ll be very happy.

I think she’ll be able to pull off whater they write for her.  I’m sure her dislike by so many people here has to be blamed on the writers.  I wish her well and hope she goes far.

Or, at least, openly admitting one is gay.  I had a friend years ago that divorced her DH after 18 years of marriage and started "seeing" another woman.  They are still together 28 years later.  Although I believe you are homosexual from birth, apparently she had been repressing it all those years and finally decided to come out and be herself.  She said she really didn’t realize it until she was in her 20s, married and with three kids.  She just wasn’t happy with life in general.

I have absolutely nothing against homosexuality nor do I mind having it portrayed on Days but I just don’t want it to involve a character already on.  If they want to do a gay storyline, please, please, please, bring in new characters to do so.

When I saw Carly in her net soap as a gay woman, I really didn’t like it because I already knew her as Carly and it just didn’t seem right.

Philip has custody of Parker so if he leaves, where does Parker go?  I can’t believe he’d take him along too.  That must mean they are going to recast Phil.

how can she give vocal lessons, she doesn’t have a piano?  There is one at the DiMansion but I’ve never seen one at Vic’s.  But maybe Philip will buy her one.

Speaking of Philip, does anyone know when he leaves?

but I’d love to see James too.  He seems to have a pretty good sense of humor and I think that’s definitely a prerequisite to be on the show.

Another thing to keep in mind about Kirstie (thanks for the reminder of spelling) is that she is 60 years old.  I think we tend to forget that because she certainly doesn’t look it.

I thought she moved pretty darn well for her age and weight.  Having been overweight in my past, I can appreciate how hard it is to expend that much energy, and believe me, even though it sometimes doesn’t look it, it takes a whole lot of it to do those dances.

They can keep personal effects such as watches, etc.
