ParticipantBut she didn’t know it. How nice it must be to give birth to twis no less and not know a thing. That’s that way it ought to be done. But, I think they were biologically Kate’s. Someone enlighten us here.

Participantbut couldn’t get into it and deleted it from my DVR listings. Too bad too because it had a great cast.

ParticipantI didn’t mean to imply that Madison might be Kate’s daughter…God forbid! I just said that because of the similar nose structure.

ParticipantShe wants me to pick her up and carry her. I practically have to drag her back home.
While the Poodle (who is much younger…still a teen-ager) wants to run and sniff at everything. So I’ve got one dragging behind me and one pulling in front. I’m surprised my arms have not gotten longer.

ParticipantI got a real tiny one too (can’t remember how much but under $10) from an alledged fraudulant investment in one of the stocks in a mutual fund I owned. I didn’t know anything about it until I got I got the check. (Don’t know why I hadn’t received previous notification.)

ParticipantBut you get an A for trying. How funny.
I’m sure most of us have at one time tried something stupid to get a guy’s attention. It’s so much easier now days. All you have to do is go up to him and say "hi" and take it from there.

ParticipantAll the soaps used that, much cheaper than an orchestra. Although now days most of it’s done on a synthesizer which is still only a "one-piece orchestra."
I’ve always liked Day’s music. I fact, several years ago I bought a CD of it. That was when I realized they were not using an orchestra but the synth. You can hear the similarity of all the songs but I still think it has always been very good. IIRC, in the past, Corday himself had written a lot of it. I don’t know if he still does.

ParticipantI didn’t start gaining any significant weight until is was in my early 50s.
But, that said, about five years ago I decided it was time to get back to my fighting weight and stay there. Now, I eat pretty much whatever I want but I’m in better control of the quantity. I NEVER fill my plate full and I’m very strict about stopping eating once I’m full. That’s one thing I was really bad about before. I ate until everything was gone, regardless. And I’m now maintaining my weight almost to the pound without a whole lot of worry about it. I think my body has finally acclimated to this weight and is satisfied with it.
And outside of some periodic very lazy swimming, I do NO exercise at all.

Participantbecause she hooked up with Bo again. If she had done it for not-so-nice motives I would have agreed with that, but knowing her past feelings for Bo, I could understand her actions. Didn’t agree with them but I don’t think it actually made her a villian.

Participantthe theme song for Cake Boss so I go through that every week.
Louie, Louie is the one that gets me everytime…takes about a week to get it out of my head.
Back to Vic’s wives, if he was married to Viv twice he could say six marriages but he should only have FIVE wives.

ParticipantI sometimes wonder what kind of intelligence enjoys watching some of the drivel on TV. I have tried to watch The Middle, the one about the extended family with the gay guys that adopted a little girl and the hispanic wife (can’t remember the name), Thirty Rock, How I Met Your Mother, and a couple of others and I just don’t find them funny…at all!
My son is a big fan of Adam Sandler and those old SNL guys and has to see all their movies. I ask him how he can possible find that stuff funny. (Dumb and Dumber is a good example.) To me, there isn’t as much humor in them as there is in a poorly executed pratfall. He says, "Mom, you’re just old fashioned." Well, maybe so but I should not have to be reduced to watching stuff I don’t think is funny or entertaining.
Another one I just can’t get interested is Two and a Half Men. Since it was the #1 rated show, I guess it must be me.
I really miss the old stage entertainment type shows. Like The Smothers Brothers, Sonny and Char, Perry Como, Carol Burnett, Donny and Marie, Dean Martin, and the rest of them. I used to laugh my butt off at them. I guess they tried but they weren’t successful. Well, the ones I saw that they tried weren’t very good…that’s probably why. Go back a little further still to Ed Sullivan, Sid Caesar, and Milton Berle; we’d NEVER miss those shows.
Okay, stepping down off soap box now.

ParticipantI’ll say that today I feel pretty good, first time since out of the hospital. On the 19th I go in to swallow a camera to be able to see two feet into my small intestine. Although you don’t want to find anything bad, you almost want them to find SOMETHING so they can at least start toward making it better. So I’m not sure which to hope for.
I see the oncologist next week to start tests for the pancreas "spot." Who knows what that’ll turn out to be. Maybe I swallowed a little rock that was in my green salad and it got stuck there!

ParticipantI thought that’s what The Playboy Bunny Club and Pan Am were but apparently nobody wants to watch them. PBC has already been cancelled (after only 3 episodes) and Pan Am is in danger.
They were different, of an interesting era, good writing, good acting. Why don’t people watch?

Participanton Full House was the original Carrie. That’s probably who you saw in pigtails.

Participantsuit against Dow-Corning for the silicone breast implants (of which I had two) they made. This was only for reconstructive surgery, not augmentation. It was claimed they were giving women all kinds of life-threatening problems. Then, after billions of dollars were paid out and Dow-Corning filed for bankruptcy, it was discovered the implants were not at fault after all. A good example of the legal system gone awry.
I also got $200 from the suit against the drug Fen-Phen, even though I had no ill effects from taking it. It was punative damages.
