I had my kids at 19 and 21.  My siblings were 17, 16, and 10 years older than I but it never even dawned on my that my parents were so much older than the other kids’.  It may be because they both looked much younger than they actually were.

But I can agree about having a baby when you’re in your 40s.  OMG, I just can’t imagine having to keep up with a toddler.  Although, I think you make a much better parent when you are older.  I know I was a babe in the woods when I had my kids and didn’t have the slightest idea how to raise one.  It was all trial and error…being heavier on the error side.  Fortunately, they turned out really great anyway.

Dee was just 64 on October 31st and Ali was 35 in September.  That would make the characters pretty close to being accurate.

when she had me in 1939.  But then, I’m sure I was an accident.

If you ever need any encouragement or comfort, this is definitely the place to go.  I don’t know yet that surgery is a definite thing, going to see the surgeon today to find out what my options are.

Deelan:  I know what you mean about the inside and outside.  I joke that they can’t kill me because I just go and get everything fixed and keep on tickin’.

Nora:  I was going to post to you today about R&I.  It was a good episode and a lot of cute humor in this one.  I’m glad they’re back on.

the storyline but, in real life, it would seem to me the best thing for Will to do is tell Marlena what he saw.  If you’re getting psychiatric help (even though it’s his g.ma, he’s still doing so), you’ve got to be honest and forthcoming or you’re not going to accomplish anything.

In fact, I think it would make for a good storyline if he DID tell her, making her promise that she wouldn’t let Sami know.  It would sure change the dynamics between Mar and Sami.  And, actually, what Sami did was far worse because at least Marlena and John were in love.  Sami and EJ hate each other.

cook.  My DIL is the same way.  I can’t imagine getting married and raising a family without cooking.  I would think take-out all the time would get very boring, let alone, expensive.

I’m teaching my g.daughter to cook (she’s 10 now) so she can make dinner once in a while.  The funny thing is, my g.son (he’s 8) is the one who really likes to cook.  He wants to be a chef.  And I don’t have to teach him, he just does it.  Two years ago he wanted an Easybake Oven for Christmas.  Now he says that’s "kid stuff" and wants to use the real thing.

So far he’s mostly into baking but I’m sure it won’t be much longer until he wants to "cook"  also.

it was an earring.  I thought it was attached to her hair.  Yes, I’ve seen the feather earrings.  In fact, I love ’em.  (Sorry, Mel.)

I believe it’s one of the most difficult things in life that we have to endure.  I’ve gone through it four times and it never got any easier.  Go ahead and cry and feel the pain because each day it will lessen a tiny bit.

Hope you bring home a new friend soon because, for me anyway, that was one of the best comforts I had.

Just keep in mind that Otis is now chasing butterflies up there at Rainbow Ridge and having the time of his life.

would make much difference in a gay pair-up because no children would ever be produced.  After all, that is the only reason that incest is illegal, or IS it or is it just taboo.  I’m not sure it actually is ILLEGAL, unless it is an adult/child.  I don’t believe there are any prohibitions against, say, cousins or even brothers and sisters marrying.

this is a precursor for something more to come.  They’ve spent too much time for it just to be filler.  I can’t say it’s very interesting though.  These guys are supposed to be such computer geeks and can’t even figure out how to block an interloper?  Come on!

And why don’t they just go to the authorities (in spite of their names), explain their problem, and ask how they should handle it.  If nothing else, they could be instrumental in working with the Keystone Cops and maybe break up a gambling (or racketeering) ring.

at my brother’s funeral.  Thankfully, it is an easy song to play.  Like you, I have a very difficult time playing in front of people.  I’m an AMAZING piano player when nobody is listening :o) but when I have an audience, I stink!

I’ve confiscated my g.son’s computer so got to get on here and post some stuff.  We had a very nice T.giving and went around the table and each said what they give thanks for.  My 8-year old g.son (whose computer I’m on) said he gave thanks for…and named all the normal things…and then he added "technology!"

if it isn’t Eileen Davidson, it isn’t Susan Banks.  Unless she’s gone to a dentist and an opthomologist since we’ve seen her last.
