What a Thanksgiving THAT was. Went to visit son and family and fortunately made it through T.giving dinner but the next day, after eating some left-over turkey, ended up in the ER and two days in the hospital with a totally blocked stomach. Had to have an endoscopy with a balloon to open it up. Then doc said to see my surgeon "immediately" when I got home because I’m going to need surgery. I have an appointment on Wed.
I can’t believe this is happening. I just had surgery last August. What in the heck did I do to be punished like this? It must have been pretty bad. But…I guess, considering the alternative. My kids say that’s why I’m still around…they can’t kill me because I keep getting everything fixed! :o)
And I still have that "spot" on my pancreas that was supposed to be CT scanned on Monday but because I had a scan while in the hospital, they said I shouldn’t have another one so soon, #1 because of the radiation (apparently CT scans use a LOT, you’re only supposed to have three in your lifetime and I’ve had at least 10-12) and #2 because of the iodine.
WHAT NEXT???
and keeping you in my prayers. No one should have to endure what you’ve been through. What a trooper – you are one tough chick!!
So sorry you’re going through this.
Never heard about 3 CT scans in a lifetime. I get one every year to keep an eye on an adrenal gland tumor they found in 2000. Some are with contrast and some not.

Oh bonbon, so sorry to hear you need surgery again!!! I know the feeling believe me and I know it’s NO fun. 3 CT scans????? I would LOVE to go back thru my mountain of files and count how many I’ve had, let’s seee…….AT LEAST I’ve had one EVERY 3 months for the past 10 years!!!!!! Probably more than that! LOL. But you know my thoughts and prayers are with you!!!! Hey did you remember that our show started it’s new season yesterday, Rissoli and isles, I haven’t watched it yet, got it dvr’d. Prayers a comin!!!
to go through all of that, just when you were getting so much better and stronger. This too shall pass and you will be 100% better soon, I’m praying (we are all praying) for your recovery and road to wonderfully great health.

Bonbon, I am sorry that you had such a difficult time following your Thanksgiving. I am praying for you during your surgery and your recovery. I believe God watches over us and blesses us even during our trials and illnesses. I know that you have a lot to deal with; prayers are being said right now.

Not to make light of all that’s happening but I keep thinking of something my cousin told my dad one time. The outside’s well preserved, it’s the inside that’s rotting.
If you ever need any encouragement or comfort, this is definitely the place to go. I don’t know yet that surgery is a definite thing, going to see the surgeon today to find out what my options are.
Deelan: I know what you mean about the inside and outside. I joke that they can’t kill me because I just go and get everything fixed and keep on tickin’.
Nora: I was going to post to you today about R&I. It was a good episode and a lot of cute humor in this one. I’m glad they’re back on.
Yeah bonbon, I did watch it and it was a good one. It was funny her mom having a crush on bill oriely!! I guess her brother is going to get in some kind of trouble?? This is one of my fav shows now, it was good the first season, but it has really improved a lot! Love it!
