Participantsurprise, surprise! :o)
I’d like to see EJ win the mayoral race; just because I think it could bring a wealth of storylines. But then, eventually, he would be caught doing something illegal/immoral/unethical (as we know he is wont to do) and get tossed out of office. The only problem with that is, what they would do with Abe in the mean time. Maybe he could chair the BOD of the hospital.
I also want Nicole and EJ to be happy together, for a while, at least. I’ve been wanting them together way long before Nicole even came back on the show. I thought they’d make a perfect couple and I’m really enjoying their relationship. I know it won’t last but I’ll take what I can get. I think if I had any power in this show, I’d make them the next super couple. They can both pull it off with the right writing. And there is just so very much they can do with them as a couple. Sometimes it’s the villians that become the popular characters on shows. If my brain were in better condition right now (too much anethesia yesterday…an endoscopy for my dang ulcers), I’d name a few.
I know it didn’t last long but you’ve got to admit, EJ was feeling some severe pain when he thought Johnny was dead. You just can’t punish these villians with jail time because the show can’t support that. The only way they can get their come-uppance is to make them suffer emotionally and I think EJ has done a lot of that (losing his kids, losing Taylor, thinking Johnny dead, to name a few). Now, Stefano (and Kate too) is a different story. I can’t see where either of them has had any retribution for ANY of their crimes, physical OR emotional.
I’m sure you won’t agree with me here but what fun would it be if you did…right? :o) There’s nobody else on this forum that I can disagree with in such an intelligent and friendly (most of the time) manner as you. (Love ya!)

ParticipantWe’ve never seen anybody in jail for a length of time or we’d get tired of it. And, if they get out early, the justification would be gone. It’s a no-win situation.

ParticipantWhat do you expect from Kate? If she isn’t dressed in some whacky outfit (or outrageous hair), it wouldn’t be Kate!!!
I think it’s really a shame that they don’t dress her better. I understand that it’s HER look but she could become a fashion icon with her classy looks if they’d put something more pretty and stylish on her. After all, she can afford pretty much what she’d like to buy. Maybe Stefano ought to give her a stylist for Christmas.

Participantit was very popular to trim your tree on Christmas Eve. Our family never did it, in fact, we always opened our presents on Christmas Eve and then when we got up on Christmas morning, we had all that neat stuff to play with.
Actually, I never got much in the way of toys but I still played with what I did get, nevertheless. I remember one year I got this scarf with horses heads on it and it was one my favorite gifts ever. Well, that and the roller skates. We got probably four or five small gifts. The roller skates were pretty extravagant for our family.

Participantby Jackie Evanco. Don’t know if you remember her but she is a classical-trained 11-year old who came in second on America’s Got Talent. She already has put out a couple of CDs and is doing concerts all over the world. And the group that beat her? I’ve never heard about them again.
So, many times it’s the "also-rans" that become more successful than the winners. The public knows just who has the talent and who doesn’t.

ParticipantAlthough Cochran is a weasley little guy, I have to admire him for his strategy. He’s probably more knowledgable about the "game" of Survivor than anyone, anywhere. He played the game with more thought and cunning than we are giving him credit for. I was really kind of hoping he WOULD beat Ozzie. Now THAT would have been a "blindside" I’d like to see.
I can’t for the life of me understand why Brandon is lasting so long. The only thing I can think of is that if someone takes him to the final two, nobody will vote for the the jerk. And, after seeing his father, I understand that the whole family is, shall we say, disfunctional, mal-adjusted? I thought Edna made an excellent plea to stay in the game.
Sophie and Rick (isn’t that Cowboy’s name?) are flying completely under the radar all the way. There seems to be at least one of these in every show. In fact, a couple of times, one of these innocuous nobodies even suprisingly won the $1M.
As far as Edna beating Oz, I’m certain that was just a teaser. More and more I’m believing how these "reality" shows are being "pre-determined," therefore, I think we’re going to see Coach (he still has the idol) and Ozzie in the final three, maybe even the final two. Remember, you heard it here.

Participantand also here in Florida, many of the malls have groups that routinely exercise through the malls. I don’t know if any of them run but they do have walking groups.

Participantwhat would the show be like with the Dimeras in jail? They can’t pay for their crimes, unless it’s in some personal way…like EJ losing custody of his kids.

Participantthat’s going to happen Patti. I really like Dan, first with Chloe and now with Jen. Come on, let’s at least give him a little happiness in the love life for a while.

Participantthe other day when they were getting the tree decorations out. Hope said it’d be unlikely they’d get them off the boat (or back on land?) to come to Salem. At least that’s a "mention."
But seriously, can you imagine a child and his family staying away from his family at home for THAT long? I know they can’t just bring the characters back because they "belong" there but at least make some excuse for it. Maybe they’re being held hostage the same place Jack was. :o)

Participantwhat in the world would they do with Rafe?
And personally? I couldn’t care less if Lucas returns. He’ll again just be wallpaper.

Participanthow can they think John is so guilty when there is no accounting for the money he supposedly embezzled. Where is it? You can’t easily hide that much money without the Feds finding out. They may not be able to access it but they certainly would find out where it was.
And, what in the heck does EJ think he can accomplish with the class action suit against John if he doesn’t have the money. IF he was guilty and hid the money, he certainly wouldn’t bring it out to pay back the investors. So, even if he wins the case, the investors aren’t going to get any of their money back anyway. How come no body is mentioning any of these "minor" details?

ParticipantI wish they’d put him in darker suits. I don’t like the grey ones and he almost always wears one.

ParticipantIt’s difficult for me to say this (and I did the same thing with Brady when he first came on the show) but I detested Melanie when she first appeared and well into her role even. But…she has grown on me and now I find her quite interesting. I have begun taking her quirky expressions and such as part of her character and can now appreciate her chops as an actress. I’m looking forward to her involvement with Chad.
As for Quinn, ewww, the more I see him, the more I dislike him. He always seems like he’s constipated or something. I guess his acting is okay but I just don’t like him as a character. And cute? OMG, I could never use that adjective on him. Not even mildly nice looking.
And, to keep our disagreement at the 100% level, I thought the Susan actress did a great job. I was just hoping we’d be able to see her face, even though Eileen Davidson will always be Susan Banks, AFAIC.

Participanthas had some dental work in the years since we saw her.
