Participantwe’ve got duplications right now of infidelity involving Carry, Rafe, Sami, EJ, Austin, Abby, Madison, Ian, ad infinitum.

ParticipantAnd, as long as Peter has been on the show, he probably gets at least four weeks…or maybe even more.

Participantbut there are way too many parents these days that find it so much easier to plunk their kids in front of an electronic screen instead of doing what is really best for them.
But, it’s the same with food. How many parents let their kids eat what they want (fast food…sweets) as opposed to good nutritious food? Way too many in both categories.

Participanton TV as opposed to my computer. Much more comfortable on the couch with the big HD screen than sitting in an office chair at the puter (as posted before, I don’t have a laptop). I know there are several places you can see the episodes but still am sad at losing SoapNet.

ParticipantGuess I’d better get that new DVR.

Participantto defib someone who is not unconscious. In fact, if you need defibrulating, you probably ARE unconscious. DeeLan?

Participantand said they really like it but he said it’d be hard to start watching now without any background. Darn!

ParticipantWell, at least I do. And I’m probably the worst offender here for writing about personal stuff and nobody has yelled at me about it…yet. :o)
I know what you say about laptops. I don’t have one because I tried and tried but I can’t get used to the keyboard. It just doesn’t feel like the desktop one. I also hate the touch pad. I used one for a couple of months (borrowed one before I bought) and gave it back and said, "No thanks."
But, it would be nice to have one when I travel. The only problem is, you can hardly have two because you can’t always be duplicating everything you do on one unto the other. So, I’ll stay in the dark ages.
Good luck with yours though. Both of my kids and their spouses wouldn’t have anything but a laptop.

ParticipantWhat’ll we do? Two whole weeks? I love the Olympics but…

ParticipantI seemed to remember it being posted before that it was only eight years but I looked them up and actually they are 16 years apart. I wonder if I’ve mixed them up with some other father and son.
Sorry ’bout that. Next time I’ll check my facts before I post them.

ParticipantI’m going to buy Abbey’s actions is if they discover she’s got a brain tumor or something that’s bringing on this totally irrational behavor.
But, Patty, your assumptions make a lot of sense and I’d even put money on that’s what will happen. (It’s getting kind of scary when we know what they’re going to write before they even think of it, huh?)

ParticipantHow can you not like her (or say there’s no chemistry with Bo) if you’ve never seen her in this role, or with Bo???
If you didn’t see her before, you wouldn’t remember the scene with them in the bathtub on their Chicago trip. Whew! That scene was only surpassed, IMHO, by the one with Kayla and Patch up on the roof of the loft. VERY hot!
As for the age thingy, look at Tony and Stefano…only eight years apart IRL. If you watch Blue Blood, Tom Selek and the guy who plays his father are only 10 years apart also. I think the problem here is that Kate does not look her age.

ParticipantI used to have one like that years ago and loved it. I usually like Maggie’s outfits.

ParticipantGosh, I thought phones and TVs were the norm now. I guess not.
AFAIC, I wouldn’t care if I didn’t have a phone in my room. I don’t want to talk to anybody when I don’t feel good. I even tell my friends not to come and visit me because I don’t want to have to and and be "cordial" while I’m feeling so rotten. :o)
Although when I did end up there via the ER…twice, it was handy to be able to call someone to take care of the dogs, newspapers, mail, etc. My neighbor is a saint in that department. Oh, and my kids usually want to know if I’m there.

Participantboth in California and Florida I’ve always had both free phone and TV, except, as DeeLan said, not in ICU. I hadn’t seen the show yet when I first responded to Johnny’s post but after watching it, it’s apparent Bo is in ICU and not a regular room so there really shouldn’t have been a phone there. But then, how would Hope have found out that Billie was there?
In the hospitals here the nurses carry around individual cell phones now days. Which is why it’s silly when people say you can’t use cell phones in the hospital when all the nurses are using them constantly. They even put their extention number on the board in your room so you can call them instead of using the call button.
As to the cordless phone, now that makes a lot of sense. I can’t tell you how many calls I have missed because I couldn’t reach the phone to answer it. It should be the same with the TVs. Those darn control things always keep falling off the bed. And the last two hospitals I’ve been in had free flat-screen HDTVs.
You probably have to pay for all that in Canada because of the goverhnment paid health care. Here, you/your insurance company are paying the bills so it’s just included in the outrageous charges they bill you for.
