ParticipantIan Buchannan’s character’s name is his real name. I wonder why.

Participanton Ali before she lost the weight and had her breast reduction. The board I was on at the time called her "pig face" and other not-so-nice names. Not many people liked her at all.
No matter what you think of her, she does a great job of keeping her character from getting stale. It’s got to be very hard work to portray Sami day after day with all her "warts."

Participantis returning. I hated it when they made him a buffoon, but when he’s a serious character, I enjoy him. I mean, his absence left a big hole in Salem. And I don’t mean the one caused by the explosion either.
As far as T goes…I can take him or leave him. I never cared much for the character and can’t believe he could have been Will and Sonny’s friend with a personality like he has.

Participantcan cure it. That happened to my DIL. No problems at all since he had the kids. I’ve heard other women experience the same thing. It’s not guaranteed though.
I understand it’s pretty painful, especially for something that can’t be cured. She must have had a pretty bad case.

Participantwhen Brady first came on (Nicole’s RL husband, can’t remember his name…Kyle?) and I said what a terrible actor he was and couldn’t stand him. Then, when they turned him around, all of a sudden he became a good actor and I really liked him. That’s kind of what I meant about being fickle. Just basically saying that the actions of the character seem to dictate the likeability of the actor. Dumb, I know and I’m as guilty as guilty can be.

ParticipantI’ll bet you’re happy to have him home again. A year is an awfully long time to be apart. Happy reuniting! :o)

ParticipantYes, it was the gun that killed Stefano. If was Abe’s gun. He left it there when he found he couldn’t shoot ol’ Steffie. Then, of course, everybody else that came in had to pick it up. Kind of a lame storyline but it gave the cops lots of suspects to investigate and drag out the story longer. :o)

Participantthat nobody likes Ian. I’m positive it’s the character and not the actor. Remember how much everybody hated Brady (the actor) when he first came on? And Melanie. I’ll bet if Ian had played a different part, a nice guy, we probably would have all liked him.
In reverse, everyone liked Gabby when she was a sweet young girl but as soon as they turned her around, everyone wants to see her gone. How fickle we are.

ParticipantI remember so many of those scenes, especially Jen and Jack’s wedding. I believe they filmed that at Universal Studios at the live action show.
I love seeing the younger actors, the sets, the costumes, etc. Thanks, Pammy.

Participanthow do you expect she’ll read your messages? I, also, would never ask anyone to stay who doesn’t want to be here. Especially someone who is so easily offended.
It seems to me that a person who would fly off the handle so quickly, before even getting to know Pammy (who’d never offend ANYONE), may want to question their sensitivity. JMO, of course.

Participantand I think Sami did too. He has avoided answering it so far. I want to know also. My thoughts on this are that the writers don’t know why he did it either and are hoping we won’t ask and will forget about it. <sigh>

Participantwhere can I buy one! :o) ♥ ♥ ♥

Participantabout this forum. I came from one that was probably about as nasty and dispicable as you could get. I didn’t want to leave because I had been there from the beginning and made a lot of good friends on there. (I think I’ve mentioned about us meeting up in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Orlando.)
Anyway, I just found this one by accident, oh, probably about three years ago, and it is so pleasant with such nice people. Patti and I go a couple of rounds every once in a while but we are always decent and respectful of each other.
I’m sure I speak for everybody that you are a welcome addition here.

ParticipantWhile I agree with you on Annie and Enya (probably my most favorite singer ever), I don’t think any of the ones you’ve mentioned have anywhere near the star-power that Tyler and JLo have…or even Mariah, for that matter. I don’t think the ability to sing really has that much to do with it. Look at Randy and Simon!
Although I don’t really know any of their personalities well enough to think they’d make an interesting judge, I do know Chacka Kahn and Aretha Franklin are both pretty out-spoken and frank so might do a good job but would both probably be considered too old and not in the demographic they are typically aiming for.
They ought to consider having a "guest judge" each week and rotate the ones you mentioned. I’ll bet THAT would bring in a lot of viewers when their favorite singer is on.
But, a lot of good ideas, Bono. Maybe AI ought to hire you to help them out…ya think?
