ParticipantI like Alton Brown too and I enjoy the scientific part of his food preparation. His show is certainly unique.

Participantyes, they get angry and get combative but not the way Caroline did. When you have Alzheimer’s or dimentia, supposedly you don’t know that you are forgetting things or are being confused and Caroline definitely knew. I think they kind of missed the boat there and are showing her awareness only for dramatic purposes…so it gives Peggy a storyline to sink her teeth into. A friend’s father had it and would argue with her because she’d try to tell him he’d done something and he’d insist he hadn’t.
I’ve read that anger mostly comes from the confusion of not remembering how to do a task, get somewhere, know someone, understand directions, know what day it is, etc. You only know you are forgetting things in the early stages.
Dementia is an all encompasing term while Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia. According to some sources, the terms can be interchangable. One difference is that Alzheimer’s is treated differently medically than dementia. Either way, it is something wrong in the brain.

ParticipantI knew she was going to claim Jen "pushed" her down the steps so I watched very carefully and she definitely did NOT push her. Intentionally, anyway.

Participantand thought it was a good concept and kind of funny but not something I care to watch on a regular basis. I love how they are all named after sports figures. Whoever writes this show has some imagination!

Participantshe’d send the nurse in to make the arrangements for inducing labor. BUT, when the nurse came in, she called Nicole by a different name so it looked to me that was part of the mess up. So, no arrangements have been made, Nicole has distroyed her records and now, who knows what’s going to happen.
I still don’t understand her walking around with a dead baby in her body. Just how long does she think she’s going to be able to do that?

Participantand it was pretty good storywise and acting but I don’t know that I want to put up with so much bad music. I don’t like C&W at all and what they did have was horrible so may drop that one. I recorded Chicago Fire so will have to see what that one is all about.
I look forward to a lot of the cable shows, Burn Notice, Suits, Fairly Legal and a couple of the reality shows…Cake Boss and The Little Couple.
I just can’t stand watching any of the sitcoms because they seem to be so outlandish and the acting is way over the top I don’t find them funny. My son tells me it’s probably because I’m getting old. Could be.
I watched Modern Family last night because I figured it won so many Emmys, it must be good. Well, it’s the second time I watched it and, although it had some good stuff, not enough that I’ll watch it again. Thank goodness for my Kindle.

Participantyou shouldn’t feel sorry for the Alzheimer’s patient because they don’t know what’s happening to them. But the caregiver is a different story entirely.
I used to work with a man who’s wife was pretty far advanced and the things he’d tell us that happened were heartbreaking. Not only do you have to try and care for a person you love who doesn’t even know who you are most of the time, you have to put up with the fighting with you and a general bad disposition much of the time. I felt so badly for him.
I think it is especially hard on a man to do as they are not the nurturers that women typically are. And poor Caroline has no one to be with her 24/7. I wonder who will get the job.

Participantit appears that Kate has had some lip "enhancement" again and they look so terrible. When she was talking to Brady I couldn’t pay attention to what she was saying they were so distracting. Doesn’t that woman own a mirror? I don’t understand why someone would do that to themselves. Her lips look like she’s had those dentist’s cotton rolls implanted in them.

Participantabout Kirstie. Although you’ve got to hand it to her being 61-years old and dancing like that.
But what gets me is when she said she was down to a size 4! G-M-A-B! I don’t think she looks much smaller than she was when she left DWTS last time. She may have slimmed down more after that but she’s obviously gained it back again. (Meow!) :o)
I have nothing against being overweight, I was once there myself and know how hard it is to get it off and KEEP it off. But, don’t lie about it.

Participantnever thought about that. Why else bring it up?

ParticipantI don’t know what else he can say to her to butt out of his business that he hasn’t already said. And why does he stand there and listen? He should just walk away from her.
This just seem like Jennifer. I hope it isn’t going to be another character assasination like they did once when they made Maggie such a busybody.
I just want to scream at Jen, PLEASE, stop it!

Participantwith them all. But I have the same problem remembering names, etc.
The last guy that got kicked off, the really flamboyant guy, can’t remember his name. I didn’t like him at first but he grew on me. I’d like to see him come back also. Oh, it was Gunnar.

Participantthese people are supposed to be designing haute coutour and not retail clothing. A couple of times they had episodes that they were looking for commercial quality but, on the whole, I think their main thrust is the haute coutour runway look. (Although I’ve never heard clothing "tell a story" before.) :o)

Participant"blame" Jennifer for losing the baby but I don’t see any way it could become a legal issue. Except if Jen intentionally pushed her down the stairs, there is no way she could cause the baby’s death. I think it’s just going to be a "blame game" to keep Daniel away from Jen.
But then, we’ve gone through this same thing before with Belle and Jan. <ho-hum>

ParticipantI’ve been using FF for years and it just all of a sudden stopped taking my posts. But if I can still read others, my verson must be compatible. It’s all just very strange.
