SOD reports that One Life to Live Alum John-Paul Lavoisier is the new Philip Kiriakis. I hope this is true. Though I really liked Jay Kenneth Johnson as Phillip, I also liked Lavoisier on Dirty Soap.

Eric is too wishy-washy and too quick to judge. I hope the new writers change him to be a stronger character because I really do like the actor.

I looked up the charity and it seems like a very worthwhile one. What a great cause!

Shawn C are still dating in real life? Their dating situation might impact his decision to leave–one way or the other.

Bo will be back on the show long enough for the writers to put him back with Hope? I really don’t want that to happen. Hope has moved on!

in The Crimson Field, but didn’t know who the other Downton Abbey actor was on the show until I looked it up. Spratt! I don’t remember seeing him on last week’s show, but I’ll be looking for him on tomorrow night’s show. Thanks for pointing that out, Annieo.

on PBS has two great drama series on Sunday nights now. Last Sunday (6/21) was the first episode for each of the series. The first one is called Poldark (Revolutionary War soldier returns to Cornwall) and the second is The Crimson Field (three WWI nurses work at a field hospital in France). I watched the first episodes last Sunday and thought they were great. Anyone else catch them?

Are these returning characters like Shawn D, Belle, Claire, Bo, Patch, Sami, Tony, etc. just returning for a few episodes to commemorate Days’ 60th anniversary or are they going to stay for a while and have real storylines?

They are both very different from most run-of-the-mill soap actors. I actually wish Serena didn’t have the stolen diamonds in her past so that maybe she and Eric could have been a couple.

Marlena. Why in the world would she be so critical and nosy about Serana and Eric? Before Serena even started flipping out, Marlena was there at her hotel room quizzing her about her and Eric’s relationship. How old is your son, Marlena? Why would you have to be nosing around in his relationship business anyway?

Brendan Coughlin, known as "T" on the show, tweeted that his time in Salem had run out. He is leaving the show. I can’t tell whether it was his idea or the show’s idea, but sounds to me like it was the show’s.
