All of what the comments you guysies all said is true, if he’s a good man the other 364 days a year – you lucked out getting him and enjoy what he does bring to the marriage and your life.

However, I’d like to look at this from your prespective, drea4713, alone…I know you all said the for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health thing when you said the "I do’s" however many years ago.

I think though that people forget that feeling they have when they are standing up at the alter after awhile – I’m not talking about the fluttery butterflies and "hot zones" when during the first few years before you hit that comfort zone of companionship and mutal respect – I’m talking about the feeling up at the alter that this person is the most important person in the world to you and you would do anything and everything to make that person "happy".

I know that life gets in the way of that feeling when you are first married – bills, putting a roof over the family’s head and putting food on the table, getting the kids to school, keeping them safe and sound…that just is what happens…

I really think that most of us (and you all know what the statistics are of divorce so I won’t rehash it here – just don’t use "Day’s" as an example), tend to forget though, that "this person is the reason I am up on this alter saying "I do" after a few years…

I think that perhaps you should chat with your husband and tell him how important just even a happy birthday wish from him with maybe a hug and kiss would "send you over moon".  It only takes a few minutes of his time and not a great deal of effort to make the lady that’s raised his children and stood by him all those years through good times and through bad times feel loved and wonderful.

Sometimes, I think that we don’t tell the people that we love in life that we love them…God help us if we never get the chance again.  Look at all the families of soliders who would love to say "I love you" one more time, or tell a parent who died suddenly, Mom, I love you….Can’t take a wish from a loved one lightly is all I’m saying…it takes such a little effort to say "I love you" but those three words on your birthday or any other day of the year mean the world.

putting in products in the background – Pepsi, etc.  It used to be they’d use the box or can and with the name coverd up or the name changed a bit…guess to have subliminal advertising.

I’d rather the advertisers be blatent about it and put products all over the place in the shows – and then give me the entire 30 minutes of the show I want to watch, instead of the 20 or 22 minutes sans commercial breaks.

I am really very surprised that the advertising community allows DVR’s – as we all FF through the commericals with them.  Perhaps that’s why NBC is allowing product placement in Day’s?

Chopped is great – one of my favorites.  And yes, the Indian lady on NFNS is my pick too!  Chef’s vs City is fun…Diner’s, DriveIn’s and Dives – makes me want to take a Route 66 road trip and eat!

Nora, I am glad that you are doing well and glad to see you posting more…hope that this coming BD is the best ever and I wish health and happiness to you all the days of your life!

he’s the most interesting, a very good actor and I’d like to see more of him, (even though I rant and rave every summer about the teen stories).

and we only have a population of about 100,000 in the entire area, and I never, ever run into my estranged (and strange) relatives…so I don’t think it’s so far fetched that those two "ladies" may not run into each other.

our "so-called" mall (stores have closed up so much there and most aren’t worth going there – the quality of merchandise is poor)…When we got a Super-duper Walmart, Sam’s, Lowes and Home Depot – in our small town here – I thought "oh boy, oh boy – I’ve died and gone to shopper’s heaven"…and now I find it’s too friggin’ much trouble to find a parking place, (even going early in the a.m.), park and walk the three mile gigantors, so I go to smaller stores just to get in and out quicker…

I used to be the queen of shopaholics (or the very least queen of window shopaholics).  It was an actual hobby for me…like some folks play golf.

At 12:00 noon, my girlfriends and I at work would pile into one of our cars, headed downtown through the lunch traffic, find a parking spot downtown, (that was no easy feat either), where the antique and junk shops were and hit two shops.  We’d buy or not buy and pile back into the car, head thru the drive-thru window at lunch, and back to our desks promptly at 12:30 p.m. (our boss was very unforgiving if we were one second late, even though we were all at our desks working every day a half an hour before the workday started)…but the shopping trips were great!

I miss those shopping trips sometimes being retired now…but I just don’t care to shop anymore – it’s a chore and a pain…and it gets to a point where one has enough stuff and stuff begins to own you instead of you owning the stuff…so no more shopping unless it’s a necessary item, especially after 40 years of buying stuff!  Besides, I don’t like dusting anymore than I have to.

So now, (getting back to my point in the first place), I like those shows that I can vicariously shop with shows like American Pickers, Pawn Store, Antique Roadshow, etc., saves wear and tear on my bod, and my wallet!!!

another one that is sort of like that is American Pickers!  You folks back in the south have the best antiques!  I’m still watching Persons Unknown (mystery that is just suppose to be on for the summer and then wrapped up) – good for people like me with short attention spans.

and we could have her “go away” is for her DA hubby to find out about her past…(I think she hid it from everyone including him), and if because of her past, her dealings as a judge have been compromised, and her hubby takes her down because of it, as it would effect/affect his career, reputation and family that he’s built up over the years then please writers – do so. I’m not liking this story line of why she is here anyway, if Chad is going to stay and be a major charater – and this is a way for the writers to fill in his life history…ok, now wrap it up and be done with it.

for quiet awhile now…I like the platinum color that Hope wears better than the gold color that Sami wears, (but I always wear gold) – if I ever get some $$$ a head for a lark (hard to do now days), I’d like to get a pair as I also love the lever backs.
