discussing and dishing our "favorites" and "not so favorites" with opinons as diverse as the stars! Besides, I like the "chats" that we all have even if we all don’t agree with something or someone – there are times we do (agree) and times we don’t…that’s what makes Salem Place so great! Annnnnnnnnnnnd much better than Salem at times!
Besides, this is how I get my "gritch" out about the show…if you guysies don’t understand, no one will! Sami. She’s always been rolling around in a bed with a man while espousing her devotion and love for her children. Not a mother I would want. And after seeing todays show, I can see Will is going to follow in her footsteps with plotting, planning, scheming and Sami has no one to blame (but she will) but herself!
to one person, (you used to could say between a man and a woman – but some states have forgone this). So he’s only legally married to the first wife. I say when they "legalize" all marriages – I’m marrying my dog, I need the tax break! LOL!
then Victor stepped right over him! I know – I’ll watch Victor torment Vivy any day of the week rather than Sami crying and whoa-is-meeeeing.
just having a man in her life now – it’s what she lives for. She was happy getting Austin, Brandon, Lucas, EJ, and now her hooks into Rafe. (BTW – I do love Allison – just not Sami right now or for quite a while now).
I am looking at Sami doing attempted murder no matter who it was that she deliberately shot by just the mere fact that she pulled the trigger. It doesn’t matter to me who is on the receiving end of the bullet. If EJ was pointing a gun at her and she had a gun and out shot him, then I would have no problem with the shooting. Yes, EJ is a snake and a worm (granted, I do love him and am a big fan but then I also like Stephano – we couldn’t have a show without bad guys but we can do without the stupidity of Sami – I so wish that she would grow up) but be that as it may, I cannot justify her plowing a bullet into his or anyones brain while they are unconscious and immobile. She could have done any one of 1,000 and 1 things besides that before resulting in such measures.
Rafe would have taken care of her had she taken the time to wake him up and speak to him. Roman would have helped her, heck, – even Kate would have helped her, Caroline, Uncle Bo and numerous other people would have helped her with keeping her children away and safe from EJ that night. But Sami being Sami…is b-lls to the wall (as guys say), and will not keep a rational thought in her head for one second. That’s why I don’t see her as changed and perhaps she never will be. If we knew someone in real life like that – how long would we put up with them? Not bloody long I suspect.
Although, I used to love Sami, it is now just like because she is like the most comfy shoes in my closet just because she has been on the show for so long. I don’t care for her anymore as she never evolves as a character, you could take the scene that Sami is in today about saying how much she loves and cares for a guy/her kids and go back, two, three, six years or even longer and see the same thing. Over and over and over it’s "I love you, yell, scream, I love you, I hate you, (Rafe has yet to experience that one, but I’ll bet a doughnut that it’s coming). At least Nicole has changed her character somewhat over the years and is interesting – we didn’t like that she kidnapped Sami’s baby or other things that she’s done, but now she’s showing a softer side and I look forward to seeing her on the show. Sami is just same-ol-Sami year after year – she may be getting into different scrapes with a different guy, but never changes.
show to watch three men with one wife – (not!) And not that a man’s ego’s could ever handle that – just broach the subject and ask one. I would bet that 100% would say "No Way"! I have just read a few books on polygamy from real people and there was no "happy ending" except for the man. The women and the children suffered because of this lifestyle.
And because there are a number of cultures in the world that adhere to this way of life (most notably in the news – our enemies) – I’ve also read several books about polygamy in those cultures around the world – never ends up well for the women. I’m not a "NAG" (NOW -woman’s libber at all) – but I would like women to be treated in this era of the year 2010 as viable and worthwhile persons standing on their own merit and abilities while having a stable, loving marriage. Most modern day cultures that came from ancient/old faiths, have banished the practice of polgamy. I think the t.v. shows like this show this for titilation of the viewers (and selling advertising of course).
I would prefer to not see a glorification on t.v. of the lifestyle – I would rather if the t.v. stations are going to show these kinds of shows that they point out the reality on both sides of the coin. Especially, if the show is going to call itself a reality show – this was more like a mini-soap opera. Heh, (on the lighter side of a sad subject), maybe DOOL could do a story line about it? I mean they are almost there now with the switching beds/partners story lines.

I’m afraid I’m gonna see them eat puppies or something…don’t mind the squishy – icky stuff because I’m pretty bold in my palate (I’ve had Rocky Mt. oysters, sea urchins, snail, etc.), having lived in a bunch of places all over the place in my younger days but some places they eat stuff that I couldn’t stand to watch be eaten…that being said, I’m going to go to McD’s for a hammyburger… LOL! I may watch on your recommendation though!
And wouldn’t it be nice for someone to pay us to eat for a living??? With no calorie gain! Ahhhhhh, my idea of sheer bliss!
