Participantyes, agree with you both…and I know Bonbon and probably you as well SW, we come from same post war era where our mother’s taught us to eat everything placed in front of you, and that it’s wasteful to throw food out because "there are starving children…" And yes, I use the plastic tubs, food savers, freezer bags, and have learned to love warmed up left-overs but there is only so much one can do.
And the little sizes are so much more expensive than the big family packs. That I learned in 8th grade home economics class. Family packs are cheaper. And it’s true! I’ve started to purchase the little can’s of soda and canned veggies. I do purchase the biggy packets of chicken and meat as that can be divided and portioned out.
I don’t think that I’ve ever used up all the pre-cut salad fixin’s in one of those packages without having to toss about 1/4 or so of it. Too bad the poochies don’t like lettuce. I think food manufacturers are going to have to market to more of an individual as the population is getting older and more and more people are not cooking for four, five or six anymore – as our family units have dwindled down in size as well due to economy and costs.

Participantdying in post below…I think it could work (just because ‘Steve’ has contract with Y&R).

ParticipantMel with Nathan instead of Phillip. Nathan to me, is about as interesting as watching paint dry. And well, you all know just how much I just love Stephanie
. Granted Phillip has his issues but it seems from even before their "I do’s" Mel and Phillip were doomed from the start.
Just like Daniel and Chloe. I don’t like when the writers do that. Not a biggie fan of Chloe’s in the last year, but she is redeemable if given half a chance. Give them a fighting chance for their marriage for goodness sake! Don’t start a couple out with the intention of breaking them up – I know marriages are a 50/50 chance in not staying together in these days and times, but it’s perhaps because Hollyweird shows that "it’s OK". Not!!! What I’m looking for in a soap is the "happily ever-after" story. If I want to watch murder, drama, double-dealings I’ll go watch prime time news – LOL!

Participantbut while you are there could you please let Vivy out of the box, BonBon, there’s a lever as you know, on the right back side. And please find Gus while you are at it. Thanks!

Participantbut then there are a whole entire host of names that are unusual to say the least out there today. Besides we’ll see Parker as a cute little baby for the first month and then we won’t see him for a year until next Christmas when they trot him out for a photo-op and then back with the Nanny he will go. Maybe Caroline has room upstairs for him?

Participant(brief for Days) they could bring Kayla back and pair her with new dr. at hospital or someone else. Then, in a few years when Steve looses or gets out of the Y&R contract, he would be brought back in a miraculous way from the dead, i.e., Dr. Mike found a rare cure with some African plant, but he couldn’t tell anyone because the process was not approved by the FDA or something. YadayadaYada…

Participantsure. I hear racoons can open drawers and get into everything. I’ve had doggie doors for 30 years in our last four houses but only the woofers come in through them. And where Bonbon lives…perhaps alligators or something like that I think she may have mentioned…I’d of course would rather have a racoon visit.

ParticipantWhen we took God out of our schools, Congress, and judicial system – just look what happened to our country! And I live in a most secular state – some day we’re going to fall off into the ocean and then you will really see wailing and nashing of teeth and crying to God!
I saw an excellent and great movie today, on Inspiration Channel (Christian channel on cable) – called Time Changer
The year is 1890, Bible Professor Russel Carlisle has written a new manuscript, “The Changing Times.” His book is about to receive a unanimous endorsement from the board members of the Grace Bible Seminary … until Dr. Norris Anderson raises in issue over a “difficulty” he has with something Carlisle wrote.

It’s on DVD too if you can get it! Not to be missed for the message and some good actors in it too.
One particular thing I also miss that we don’t see so much on Days anymore is a church scene – another scene I’d like to see them have at Christmas.

ParticipantI was watching IRT’s, (it my Sunday night thrill and rollacoaster ride now days – because I used to ride on Harley’s and in helicopters without the doors on! – and I don’t do that kind of stuff anymore) so IRT is a rush vicarously for me to watch.
I do have NIC on the DVR for watching tomorrow, I’m not sure who’s going! I don’t think while I was surfin’ during the commericals that Chef "Mowhawk" Forgeon was doing so well tonight, at least not in the first round, and he was doing so great last week!
I’ve only watched Throwdown once or twice but the commerical is good…it’s got a beat you can dance too
LOL. But based on your recommendation and the commercial I will have to catch it – I think it’s on Demand – (a feature that my cable company has in our area that has a great many of the popular shows of all sorts of genres without the commericals) – and I can catch up there on the past shows.
Right now watching Food NetWork Challenge – and the DH’s at 9ish. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday are all favorite nights to DVR and watch shows on t.v. for me. Sometime with 150 channels, (or however many cable brings) I still can’t find anything decent to watch! And then other nights there’s too many good shows on! Sometimes the DVR loads up to 98% because I forward through two weeks and pick out shows to tape and think to myself oh this show sounds good or that show sounds interesting and then when I sit down to watch five minutes into it, I think what the heck was I thinking?

Participantthey often forget, don’t know, or revise history – that’s why I’m on their case all the time. What kid growing up without a family unit wouldn’t ask her mother? And it would take two minutes of air time to cover it if the writer’s would take the time…goodness knows they have Sami repeat her lines of "it’s for my children" ad nauseam.

ParticipantI’m sure they will have a kid or two before the writers decide to play "switch your partners" again. Chad may be in the mix by then also with someone. I was thinking of Theo with Ciera but will they "cure" him of his autism as he ages? I would love to see him follow in his mother’s footsteps and become a doctor or in Abe’s as commisionar or political entity but please keep him away from grandpa Stefano (as much as I love him).
