If Phillip is the father he would have to go to court to prove it. Daniel, (if it were California) would be considered the childs father until Phillip made a case in court for the child. Other states may have a different set of laws.
No way would Melanie be able to say one word legally or otherwise in a courtroom – except that the writers will make the story bend to reality once again. I may boycott through next week too if this gets too insane again.
teenage girls that watch the show and think "OH, how cool and romantic" …but they don’t realize that for most becoming a single teenage mother can doom one into a life of poverty for themselves and for their child.
The t.v. shows (Days included) makes everyone who gets pregnant as a teenager without the benifit of marriage always has a wealthy, supportive family, true love wins out in the end and everyone turns out "somewhat" great financially, medically, and psychologically OK. Not usually the case in real life. T.V. and movies really do a disservice to our young people in the mores that are portrayed there today.

boycotting "Days" (episodes sitting on my DVR though)…I got mad at them for putting Christmas show on after Christmas (preemption excuse be da- -ed!). But I’m keeping up on it by reading you guysies comments – think they are much more interesting than the show actually!
