Please, don’t have one of those corrupt judges in Salem hand over little Parker to Melanie and Daniel. After all, we all know that Melanie has a twisted past herself and is about to divorce. Plus no judge would take a baby from its biological mother and father and turn him over to unrelated people just because the bilogical parents were unfaithful to their spouses one time. Melanie’s plan is only to get revenge on Chloe, not because she really thinks she would be a better mother.
or could take a child from a biological mother just because the mother cheated on her current husband. Let’s all point the fact out that Daniel and Chloe were not married when Phillip and Chloe hooked up for their trist.
If Phillip is the father he would have to go to court to prove it. Daniel, (if it were California) would be considered the childs father until Phillip made a case in court for the child. Other states may have a different set of laws.
No way would Melanie be able to say one word legally or otherwise in a courtroom – except that the writers will make the story bend to reality once again. I may boycott through next week too if this gets too insane again.
In some states, the husband is presumed to be the father even if he’s not the biological dad. If a divorce happens, Daniel, not Phillip, would be required to pay child support. I don’t think Mel is trying to take over as mom. She just wants Parker away from Chloe and Phillip. This could get nasty; Daniel could use Chloe’s ‘hysterical’ pregnancy to say she’s unstable and mentally ill.
and Melanie’s ridiculous crying sounds more like hysterical laughter. The girl has a good day now and then (I complimented her in the church scene with Carly), but today she was right back to that giddy high-schooler mentality, and her crying scenes are way OTT. Get over it Melanie …. I’d like to hear what Father Matt would think of your past discretions, if you really want to play the blame game.
I cant wait for Daddy Dearest to find out that Melanie knew ahout Chloe’s affair before but she didnt know yet that it was with Phillip! CANT WAIT!
They already talked about that on Thursday or Friday. He told her he knew Phillip cheated on her and she told him she knew Chloe slept with someone else but then Parker was born and he was so happy. He told her they were just protecting the people they love.
with Mel and Daniel. Hypocrits is what they are. They lie (Keep the truth from) to each other and that’s ok they were protecting each other, Carly and others get raked over the coals by them for keeping the truth from them? Makes NO sense? I’m over it writers, move on.
BTW….In Michigan…at birth, whoever is placed on the birth certificate is the legal father….also, the mother is required to sign a form stating that man is the father and if she tries to prove or it is proven that he is not, she can be prosecuted for fraud. Legally it can become a HUGE mess. Jus’ sayin. But I’m sure the writers will twist it any way they want.
I think it is more about hurting Chloe and Phil– revenge for their deed and possessing her "brother",
yesterday that Daniel is legally Parker’s father. Because he is on the birth certificate. Philip has to go to court and get that changed before he is legally responsible for Parker, even though he is trying to play daddy, whic seems a little creepy to me, the way he just hauled over to Chloe’s apartment to "be with his son". As if he knew it all all along, maybe?
Are we totally sure that Phillip is indeed the father. What with all the switching, you never know. If I were Daniel, I would demand a paternity test before anything else!
I just watched yesterday’s show and she was begging Daniel that they couldn’t loose Parker too so I’m thinking she really cares about that little guy and knows how much Daniel wanted him and loves him and that she can’t stand to loose anybody else from her life.
