I have yet to see a purpose for this pairing, as Nicole seems to be going for Doc Dan and EJ knows it’s not Rafe’s kid. Is Rafe just going on pretending to be the daddy?
With what had gone on in with tests (particularily Chloe’s) the past, I almost expected that in a moment of weakness, Dan, not knowing Nicole had actually switched the names on the vials, changed them himself, making them back to being accurate. Thankfully that didn’t happen.
Seems as though Rafe has really put himself on the spot. Now that it is "official", doesn’t that sort of obligate them to have some sort of public relationship? If he is the "father", he would need to be involved in the child’s life, the way EJ wanted to be. They seem to have a good friendship, but if she and Dr. Dan suddenly start seeing each other on the sly, and EJ finds out, won’t it become apparent what has happened? Oh me, what a tangled web we weave……..
has been “downgraded” I don’t even find Rafe interesting in the least at the moment. He just seems kind of part of the scenery, almost milktoast. Nicole needs someone more dynamic to be her partner.
because none of their conversations from the time Dan caught Nicole at his desk, nor after, did we see that Dan knew she had switched the labels. Then, after the results came in and Rafe and EJ left, Nicole told Dan that she wondered if he had changed the labels back. The viewers had been led to believe that Dan thought he caught Nicole before she did any switching. When, in fact, he knew and was willing to let it stand.
because the writers have destroyed him, along with practically every other major character on the show. If Rafe’s going to stay around (which he probably will because it’s a fact that Gary Tomlinson and Chris Whitesell love GG as well as AS), then please give me back the original Rafe, because this one is just as bad as R-2 in the sense that it has become difficult for me to watch any scene he’s in now, no matter who he is playing it with. He has become a very wooden, uncaring shell of a man who I once adored. I honestly believe this is the worst writing pair (Mar-Dar) that Korday and company have EVER hired (worse than Higley and company). Too bad it wasn’t discovered long before they ruined everyone and every couple I have ever cared about. Where was KC’s mind to let them do this to his (our) show? I just don’t understand it. No wonder NBC stepped in. THEY probably hire staff just to read the boards and saw how disgusted the fans were with this head-writing duo. So, good luck KC, GM, NBC and SONY ….. you’re certainly gonna’ need once the new writers take over.
When she hugged Dan, I don’t know if she’s interested in him like he may be. I don’t know, I just got the feeling that she was being smug. And I loooooove Nicole.
It was almost a devious look and I don’t understand why. Like she was plotting something with Dan and it was going well. I hope I’m wrong.
As for Rafe staying with her… I’ve hated Rafe since they tried to jam him being with Carrie down our throat but I think he’s okay with Nicole. But I don’t want them together (except for the baby) because I don’t think they are a good fit, but they are playing the part of friends very well. You can see he does care for her but not in a romantic way.
If they’re going to refuse to let Nicole stay with EJ, then I’d like to see her continue forward with Dan and see where that goes. BTW, I think EJ is playing his grief over losing Nicole quite well. I believe he really does love her. Yeah, yeah, I know, someone’s going to say he can’t love anybody but I think he does.
Good Lord, we certainly need a score card for the pairings on this show
even if he has an odd way of showing it. One minute saying mean things to her, the next tears spilling over about losing her.
I honestly think if she knew he wasn’t a dimera, she might consider telling him the truth about the baby. But who knows…?
doesn’t mean he’s not a DiMera at heart. He’s a grown man who has walked, talked, lived and breathed DiMera since Stefano took him from wherever, and whether he is or is not on paper, he certainly hasn’t shown me any reason not to believe that he isn’t a full-blooded, hard-hearted, self-serving, using, manipulative dog. I hope Nicole does take him back, though, because they’re cut from the same cloth; but if she cares as much about her baby as she claims, she will clean up her own act before committing to anyone. I’m still hoping she gets caught for her and E.J.’s election fraud. I don’t think she cares one iota about Daniel; that smirk told me that she was obviously using him. As for Rafe, I think she would take him in a heartbeat over E.J. or Daniel if she thought Rafe could love her like he THINKS he loves Carrie.
that EJ has been acting like a Dimera only to please his father? Now that he has been disowned by Stefano, maybe he’s won’t feel as strongly. He did say he was trying to legitimize the Dimera name by running for mayor. I don’t think EJ is as rotten to the core as you’d like to believe. We have certainly seen a lot of humanity eminating from him since Lexie got sick.
The devious look made me think that she’s playing Daniel to make sure he continues to lie for her. After they kissed (even though she seemed to enjoy it too), he obviously caught some feelings that made him ultimately decide to switch the paternity test results. Now she figures she better keep up the charade so he continues to lie for her. I thought they were going to pair them up, but after that "look" I think it’s purely a strategy on Nicole’s part.
I think we all do…in a world full of villains and bad guys…it was nice to see a hero and good guy being true to his family and friends…It’s like taking Bo or Tom Horton and making them evil like Stefano or EJ…Wrong, Wrong, Wrong…WRONG, Wrong with a capital W!!!
PS – I have to make the font bigger to read and write even with my bi-focals.
