She got him drunk and purposefully wore Carrie’s perfume so he would think she was Carrie.

The word "slut" does not mean opening your legs for EVERYone. In other words, you do not have to sleep with every Tom, Dick, and Harry to be a "slut".

Furthermore, the definition of slut is more than sexual immoralities.

Sami’s behavior with EJ was most definately "slutty, "whorish", and ever other disgusting word one can think of. Sami is a selfish and despicable character.

and personally I have my right to disagree with your opinion as you have to disagree with mine.  Just because you despise the character doesn’t make you right and me wrong; it simply means that’s your opinion …. it does not happen to be mine.  But, that’s what a fan’s point of view is all about.  It’s not a g/d in-house "go look-it-up" war, it’s a matter of personal opinion about a character, and, personally, I don’t care how the negativity rolls off your tongue where Sami is concerned, I will never agree with you or anyone else who decides that she is a slut, and that, I believe, is my prerogative and my point of view.  So, feel free to despise the character and degrade her all you want; that, on the flip side of the coin, is certainly your prerogative.  Fortunately, for me at least, I believe Sami is a staple on this show and will continue to be Sami until Ken Corday, as well as Alison Sweeney, decides she is done, whether the writers choose to change her or not.

and, since I highly respect your opinion, the subject is now "moooooot" with me …….. (unless, of course, you just called me a "cow")??? LOLOL!

I thought everyone had a right to their opinion.

     Definition according to free dictionary

    1. a. A person, especially a woman, considered sexually promiscuous. b. A woman prostitute. 2. A slovenly woman; a slattern.

I don’t think that Sami fits into this definition. She has never been sexually promiscuous nor a prostitute.

She does tend to leap into things without thinking of consequences and so she is immature.  Yes she has a lot to learn about thinking things through, but she is not a slut.  Will is consumed with what he saw because he truly believes that Rafe is the best thing that has happened to his family and he is so afraid that all is lost. He blames his mom for that so his reaction is to go for the throat. Hopefully, Marlena can reason with him.

And I feel that everyone should be able to express their opinions without fear of criticism.

I also think Will is thinking about the past.

Sami was in love with Lucas and divorced him to marry EJ, breaking up the family Will always wanted.  It then came out that Sami was pregnant and EJ was the father.

Lucas was in prison and when he got out he went to Sami only to find her in bed with EJ.  Later it comes out that Sami had a baby and EJ was the father.

After Sydney was kidnapped and returned Rafe was off trying to prove that EJ was responsible.  Sami turned to EJ and was going to marry him.  The wedding had started when Rafe came in and exposed EJ as the kidnapper.

For the last few years everytime Sami’s happy and Will is getting the family he never had Sami does something to destroy it and EJ’s the part of the reason.

more that I was agreeing with the previous poster.  Yes, I know, symantics.  But I think it bears repeating that Will was using the word "slut" in a figurative term because it was the most derogatory one he could think of.  I think when someone calls someone else an "asshole," they don’t mean that literally either.  (That conjurs up an image I’d rather erase!)

And I was afraid you might think I was calling you a cow.  No, I was indicating that I was trying to get the cows to come home.  Oh, dear, humor is lost when it has to be explained.  :o)

And, as justwondering said, "without fear of criticism."

that’s understandable and should be acceptable; however, when a poster replies with words like "are you sure you even know the full meaning of the word", then you are taking issue with me on a more personal level, and that begins a ‘baiting’ process that usually turns ugly; so, if anyone should feel "criticized" regarding their opinion, then that would be me.  Unfortunately, many fans on most message boards find it nearly impossible to confine their remarks solely to the show and it’s characters, and question another poster’s point of view on a more personal level.  When that happens, most posters will find this offensive.  If allowed to continue, sooner or later it gets out of hand and negativity toward a poster ensues, and not jut toward their post now.  We ALL need to be more areful of this and confine our remarks to the show and it’s characters, writers, etc., and not to each other …..

Actually Patti, I was defending your right to your opinion. You have every right to feel that you were harassed. I understand you felt compelled to respond. My only point was that someone can disagree with an opinion without attacking the poster.

if the Days writers are reading this, they must be loving it!  So many different very vocal opinions.  Everyone is talking about what they wrote so they have to be happy.   I like hearing others’ point of view when I agree or disagree with them.

As I read your post to which I originally responded, you opined that Will was mad at his mother for reasons other than committing adultery with one of the most vile men in her town. In fact, you stated: ‘He damn well knows Sami is not a "slut" ‘. My response was naming many of Sami’s characteristics which are also part of the definition of a "slut", and thus why I asked (rhetorically) if you knew the complete meaning(s) of the word.

Then your response–in your subject line was: Excuse me???? Sorry, but that’s just complete b/s ….. Then you went on to say: ‘You, nor can anyone else here, truthfully describe Sami as a "slut"’.

Well, yes, I can. In fact, the whole point of my posts was merely to point out that, contrary to your assertion of "B/S", rational, reasonable people could believe that Sami is a slut.

It is unfortunate that you took my posts as somehow "personal" to you. You are most definitely entitled to your opinion, as we all are. I think Sami is a slut, and think Will was right.
