I was surprised today to hear Abe mention that Theo had also fallen down the Dimera steps. At least someone there has a memory of things past. I had even forgotten about that.
On another note, I think Faye, Nicole and Taylor went a little over the top in the emoting department today. Good grief, all three of them were one step from being manic. If Faye could get out all those "nos" and "EJs" and "secrets," why couldn’t she have just said what she was thinking. Ridiculous!
Also, Rafe2 didn’t seem to be in any hurry to get dressed and out of there before he was discovered. It’s almost like he doesn’t care about getting caught.
And it was good to see RealRafe today. Just that little bit was a reprieve to see that he is sane and still our beloved Rafe. And I guess he does still have the key. I don’t know how he could have gone through everything he did without anyone finding it.
Don’t know if I posted this in the wrong place, but who is Nicky? If Lawrence is his father, who is his mother? If it’s Carly, who is Vivian to him? Was Lawrence’s last name Alamain? Was that Carly’s married name?
Nicky is Carly and Lawerence’s son. Vivian’s nephew. yes it was Lawerence Alamain. not sure if Carly took his name or not. Heck, I dont even know her last name.
Her real name is Katerina Von Leuschner (sp) but when she first came to Salem she’d taken the name of Carly Manning I think to hide her real identity and stop her family and/or Lawrence from finding her.
What I don’t understand though. When she first came her and Jennifer had been in boarding school together and she’d said her and Lawrence’s engagement was an arranged marriage by their parents. Jennifer pretended to be Carly to fool Lawrence who found out the truth and kidnapped Jennifer. Later it was revealed that Nicholas was her sone with Lawrence but if she’d had a son with him than why did she think he’d be fooled by Jennifer pretending to be her?
Oh yeah, thats it. thanks. I thought it was something weird like that. kinda like Great von amburgh or what ever. lol. wasnt that her name? LOL. my memory sucks today.
you are so right, the actress was horrible. The wild-eyed psycho-babble was way overdone. I was ready to stick a fork in her myself.
I know I cant stand her either, never could. they cast Taylor perfectly if they wanted her to be like her mother, they have that same way of talking, like they are out of breath, i’m on oxygen almost 24/7 and I sure dont sound like that! LOL.
my recollection is that carly met a man at the beach, i think he told her his name was james. that union resulted in nicky (this was all back story, not something that happened on the show, although i think at some point they created flashbacks of it). at that time carly and lawrence didn’t know each other, and so neither knew that the person they met at the beach was their fiancee. i don’t remember how they ended up figuring it out (obviously, it was when they finally saw each other they realized it, i just mean i don’t remember how long they were both on the show before they actually got together, and realized who each other was. i believe it was part of how they left the show- they realized they had known each other and loved each other and they married and left the show together, taking young nicky with them– of course, nicky returned a couple years later as an adult, and had an affair with kate). maybe when lawrence was james, he was in disguise of some kind? i don’t remember the details of that.) my recollections could be wrong, however, so maybe someone else can give better insight into it.
on all counts! Lawrence & Carly made Nicky. Viv is Lawrences auntie, therfore, Nicky is Viv’s "grand" nephew. Correct!
Thanks. I do remember them meeting once before but not knowing who the other was. Their marriage was arranged by their parents though and they’d never met as themselves and that’s why Carly was hiding out in Salem. She felt nobody would know who she was or be able to find her there.
And Vivy knows…Doesn’t Victor know as welll, he has some kind of hatred for her (but I can’t remember what that was about – shoot, I can’t remember much of anything anymore). Lot’s of folks know Carly’s history don’t they? (Like me they may not remember though…)
on the show was when Hope thought that she was Princess Gina…Carly is older than Princess Gina by far…
There was a real Princess Gina who looked like Hope. Princess Gina was an art thief or something like that and worked with/for Stefano and had a relationship with John in the past when he was a priest before he was John Black and came to Salem. Stefano had brainwashed Hope into thinking she was Gina. When Princess Gina came to Salem she took over Hope’s life and was going to marry Bo and send Shawn D. to boarding school. Shawn D was the only one who didn’t believe she was his mother. At the wedding I’m not sure what happened but she ended up getting shot and died.
