would have a little more easy to accept and understsand if Brady hadn’t been trying to kill EJ and might have if Mel hadn’t  stopped him.  Why didn’t she call 911?  EJ could have died and how would she have answered to Stefano about that?

had totally forgotten about EJ shooting him.  Another criminal activity that the Dimeras didn’t have to answer for.

I would love it if they would mention that to explain some of his hatred for EJ.  It never made a whole lot of sense to me for his hatred to mostly stem from what happened to Nicole.  Not that I want them to be best buds, but a further explanation for the tension would be nice!

I think that Brady’s hatred of EJ is an accumulation of all of things that Ej has done. No matter what Brady says, he still has strong feelings for Nicole. He has known for sometime what EJ has done to Nicole, all the  heartache he has caused Sami, but now he finds that EJ was involved with Ariana’s death and that EJ is after  Taylor. That is the last straw—- Brady cannot stand the thought of EJ destroying Taylor like he did Nicole.

Although the fight was violent, I feel that EJ has all that and  more coming to him.

I know Nicole and Brady were together while he thought Chloe was dead and then left Nicole as soon as he found out she was alive.  I know he says he forgave Nicole for lying to him about Chloe, but forgivng and falling in love with someone is quite different.  I never saw the chemistry between them that first time anyway, it seemed like a rebound thing for him and she was totally desperate.  Then when did they supposedly fall back in love?  When he came back and Nicole did, too, she pretty much went right to EJ.  Then Brady was trying to be a friend to her that whole time she was lying to EJ.  I don’t know, I guess I never bought that his love for Nicole was ever that strong.  I never saw him as being desperate or needy, just caring.  I like the idea of his hatred for EJ stemming from his dad being shot.  I think it’s more in character with Brady and makes for a much better story.  And what controversy it would bring up for people on the show to acknowledge that EJ shot John, both a DiMera AND a Brady, whose son is a Kiriakis!

As far as Taylor goes, I haven’t watched the last couple months very regularly, but did Brady & her get that close?  If it were me I probably wouldn’t care much about her getting hurt.  It seems as though she’s had plenty of warning and doesn’t want to listen.  I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she realizes that EJ’s evilness caused her mother’s death!  The overtones should be interesting too because it’s very similar to Arianna’s death that she forgave him for.  Just like Troy was the one who killed Arianna on his own, he was employed by EJ and Rafe2 was the one that killed Faye, he was employed by Stef & EJ.  Hmmm…

because if Brady would have stopped to think about it, Troy was a package deal that came with the drug sale transaction, and who did E.J. purchase the drug business from — none other than Brady’s grandfather, Victor Kiriakis.  So, I would say Brady better lay off the booze if for no other reason than to think things through with a clear mind before he goes off and decides to beat someone to death, which he would have if Melanie hadn’t stopped him.  Clearly, E.J. and his father belong behind bars, but was what Brady did any less a crime that, to me, clearly puts the creation of the entire situation for his revenge against E.J. right in Brady’s own back yard.

I’m no fan of EJ’s so if someone wants to beat him up, that’s o.k. with me. I just didn’t need to see it all. I hate boxing a wrestling for that same reason. I don’t watch movies about boxers either. I just don’t enjoy seeing the fight. I would have rather seen the first couple of blows and then we assume, Brady kicked his butt good. Less is more!

I agree with you.  Given all the comments on this, it has made me wonder if the writers actually do not remember who their target audience is, i.e., women.  That is not to say that women are namby-pamby whimps when it comes to fist-a-cuffs.  We can be and are tougher than men (who have mistakenly called us the weaker sex for eons), by a long shot.  However, a fight scene like you mentioned Mommytutu, we’d rather see the first punch or two and then the guy on the ground rather than watch a blow-by-blow beating.

Oh, I don’t agree with what Brady did at all!  I’m just saying I would rather have a better explanation for his anger, that’s all.  Yes, I think Brady should be just as angry with his grandfather about Arianna’s death as EJ.  I am really tired of seeing a flask or drink in his hand.  We get it, he’s an alcoholic.  I think it’s somewhat contrary to how a lot of alcoholics like Brady would act, though.  I would think as a corporate type he would hide his addiction a little better.  Most of the alcoholics I’ve known don’t constantly parade around with alcohol!

it was great seeing Brady stand up for himself and seeing EJ pay for something. I think it was completely ridiculous for Melanie to have come upon the situation. Someone like Abe or Lexie who have ties to Brady’s Dad and such would have been far more interesting. Also who doesn’t call 911? Daniel was magically there as fast as an ambulance would have been? A clinic would have the same supplies as a hospital? Seriously?

Also I like Brady with a bit of an edge. Not the drinking in particular but the ability to stand up to Victor, Nicole, Vivian,etc.. I think the actor has a far more enjoyable time playing the role too. I am actually interested in watching his scenes now that he’s not just a love sick person with nothing else going on. I look forward to seeing what the new writers do. How would John and Marlena react to this new Brady?

Melanie didn’t want to call 911 or take EJ to the hospital because the police would get involved and it might lead to Brady.

reasoning, she should realize that people would find out that Brady was responsible–namely Stefano–since EJ would tell. And, it would be worse for everyone all around that 911 wasn’t called.

She could have called 911 and said she found him like that and Brady wouldn’t be implicated at all…well, until EJ came to that is.  Either way, it’s going to come out who did it.  (Spoilers not mentioned here.)
