Okay, tell me this. If this "thing" Mel and Nathan caught is so highly contagious that they practically instantly came down with it, why hasn’t everybody else they’ve come in contact with caught it too? Hmmm? Oh, yeah, because it isn’t incidental to the plot. Sheesh!November 18, 2010 at 12:54 pm #18252NoraParticipant
I dont really give a crap. I cant stand Mathanie. Melanie has well passed Stephanie on my dislike scale. I’m actually enjoying Stephanie more. Melanie is soooooo boring and so is Nathan. I could care less about either of these 2. I used to like Melanie, but not anymore. And I actually was thinking that too yesterday, everyone who came in contact with them should be coming down with this disease too.November 18, 2010 at 1:53 pm #18254PattiParticipant
her on again/off again attitude with everyone she interacts with, including her parents, is disgusting, not to mention disturbing, to watch. Her insistence that she is so in love with Philip, that she is so happy with him, that he treats her so wonderful and how lucky she is to be his wife, but she’s going to ask for a shift transfer because she can’t stand working with Nathan BECAUSE IT HURTS TO MUCH TO SEE HIM, her prolonged fight with herself day in and day out about telling Daniel the truth about Chloe’s ONS, and finally, her continuous, every freakin’ time she’s on screen, it’s always ‘it’s not about you, it’s about MELAME’ just about has me wishing she was the one who went instead of Arianna. Then boring Nathan could have stayed with boring Stephanie, and all would be right with the soap world. OMG, I can’t stand this character any longer.November 18, 2010 at 2:01 pm #18257caseyParticipant
this story a mile away, about how Nathan will recover and come to the rescue of his damsel in distress and Steph will probably overhear him confessing his love at her dying bedside.
What a pathetic baby Mel is – grow up little girl and focus on your own life!November 18, 2010 at 2:54 pm #18263
Melanie is one of my favs on the show, no matter if she’s complaining, or acting looney. And I love Mel-than! They are a dynamic duo! I sooo can’t wait ’til Nathan departs from Steph (and Mel from Phil), and become the ‘super-young’ power couple they were meant to be!November 18, 2010 at 4:38 pm #18269mommytutuParticipant
Shouldn’t that other doctor also be sick? He was in contact with them. Daniel and Stephanie should certainly be ill and quite possibly the bartender at the pub. If what that guy had was so contagious, dang, everyone in Salem should be near death now.November 18, 2010 at 5:33 pm #18270BonbonParticipant
you are definitely our resident contrarian. I know, I know, somebody’s gotta do it.November 18, 2010 at 5:58 pm #18273bluebonnetParticipant
I have been a Melanie fan from the start. I think her character is interesting–never boring. She seems very, very real to me, not like an acress just playing the part.November 18, 2010 at 6:14 pm #18274NoraParticipant
I’ve liked Melanie from the beginning when most others hated her. even when she came to town as the bitchy trouble maker she was. now I dont know they’ve changed her, and not for the better. I feel like her and Nathan are forced just like her and Phillip are forced on us. I like Phil and Chloe together.
How cute was Phil today!! and his hair looked alittle better. and did you see those dimples when he was smiling at the baby! Adorable!November 18, 2010 at 7:54 pm #18277drea4713Participant
I love how Stephanie goes right into Parker’s room after being exposed. Good job! Expose a newborn who has practically no immune system at this point! A preemie, even!November 18, 2010 at 10:03 pm #18280PattiParticipant
who was in direct contact with that patient. The virus would spread through the air like a brush fire.November 18, 2010 at 11:54 pm #18285

I agree with you about Chloe and Philip! I’ve been wanting them to be together FOREVER! I hated when the writers paired her up with Brady…Ugh!
