Okay, what’s everyone’s opinion on this guy? Love the actor, but I hope his backstory is as mysterious as his character seems to be. Whenever the line "you get what’s coming to you" or "you get exactly what you deserve" says more to me like "I know what you did." So far we know Eduardo is into something either very legitimate or very sleazy and dishonest. He has contacts watching his children, and he’s talking to mystery informants by telephone; he evidently is financially secure, and what in the heck is he writing in that little black book and why? All these questions make me think to myself that I’m going to like this guy in the end. I hope he’s not just another dark, villainous character who has come to Salem only to make his children want to leave because of his presence. I think he has the feelers out on Ben, and perhaps at some point he and Rafe will work together to prove Ben is the killer. I certainly see Rafe suspecting Ben, and I love his Colombo style of questioning and doubting Ben to prove he is a ticking time bomb. Yes, I think I’m going to like Eduardo after too long….well until the writers prove me wrong! LOL!
I think I will like him I have never seen him on any other shows so the first time I saw him I thought of Bo .. he could pass for Bo’s father or brother but that is just my opinion … LOL.
is his horrible acting. I just feel like he has no experience whatsoever and is struggling with his lines and what to do with himself when someone else is speaking. Now I know that’s not the case because he is VERY experienced and the little I’ve seen of him in the past has certainly proven me wrong about this but, so far, I am very uncomfortable watching him. Maybe it’s going to eventually tie into his character but I certainly hope it happens soon.
Actually, on that same note, I feel that Bo/Peter has also seemed to have forgotten how to act. Those oh-so-agonizing scenes he’s been playing so far have almost made me laugh they have been so bad. First he appears to be on death’s bed (and when he’s alone so he’s not just putting on to fool his captors) and the next think we know he’s pounding Kung Fu on the bad guys with all the strength and characteristics of Mighty Mouse. Who knows, maybe it’s just me.
with all the supposed longtime torture and confinement that Bo is that mentally and physically strong.
The only thing I can figure on AM’s acting is he is trying to be so “mysterious” and close to the vest so the audience can’t detect if he’s good, bad or whatever that he comes off as wooden. I was not a viewer of his past soap work but what little I did catch A certainly showed more emotion and color. Maybe this is simply his understanding of Eduardo and/or direction. He is still young to this role so hoping he will settle in as time goes on.
