Opinions anyone?  She certainly had a chip on her shoulder.  I know it’s probably a one-shot deal, but I really didn’t care for her interview techniques nor her acting ability.  I think that was played entirely wrong.

it’s the first scene she’s been in where she has any kind of real dialogue, so I would think that before Dena realized she was not going to be HW much longer, she maybe decided to give her girl more of a speaking part.  I did find her to be too forceful in the role.  Everyone knows you can’t be questioned without the right to your attorney being present, so once again Dena made a boo-boo.  Dario could have told her he was not answering any questions without his lawyer being present, so either charge me with a crime or get the hell out.  Wonder how much longer she’ll be around after Dena is gone.

and yes, she was not only too forceful, but she was completely wrong to insist Dario answer her questions.  He could have refused, and been completely within his rights, to insist that his attorney be present during any questioning, which is why I am so completely confused why they are writing Bo and Hope like two vigilante cops, breaking the law at every turn just to satisfy themselves or justify getting what they want.  I’m sure they all know the words by heart:  "you have the right to remain silent…..you have the right to an attorney…..if you give up these rights, anything you say can be used against you"…..and so on and so forth, thus the first rules of the Miranda Rights law.  So, Ms. Higley has once again chosen to ignore the law, including the Rules of Procedure, and ‘do it her way instead.’  I wonder how long the daughter will last once DH is gone.  Not too long, I hope.

she shouldn’t have been "arguing" with him about the questioning.  She should have told him, "Either answer the questions here or we go down to the cop shop and do it."  She didn’t have to Mirandize him unless she was arresting him which she wasn’t.  She would have only been taking him in for questioning.

That was why Bo told the cop to Miranda-ize Taylor because he used the actual word, "arrest."  It seemed to me that it would have made more sense to take both Taylor and Nicole in under protective custody or as a material witness than to arrest them.

I’m also having a big problem with the way they (B&H) are breaking rules left and right.  I understand the reasoning but these aren’t just little procedure rules, this is a full-blown cover-up.  It’ll be interesting to see how they are going to justify or get around what they’re doing.

she still did not have the right to take him in for questioning without his lawyer being present.  He could have told her to get lost or to come back with a warrant.  He also could have gone in voluntarily, with Justin, and allowed her to question him.  It ticks me off when they do crap like this.  As for Bo and Hope, I love them in cop mode, together, but this bad cop/vigilante justice is not what I had in mind when I said I wanted them back working together.  If this wasn’t their family involved, you can bet your sweet bippy that neither one of them would have acted this way.  I don’t like them as "tough but bad cops," so do your jobs, B&H, but be let’s put a little honesty into it, regardless of who your suspects are.  Nobody wants to see the DiMeras go down more than I do, but what Bo has been doing to E.J. in that hospital room is borderline police brutality.

looking busy in the cop shop whenever they have scenes in that location?  I guess she’s never had so much dialogue up until now, so I wasn’t sure if it was the same actress.

He may not have to answer any of her questions without his attorney there but he does have to go to the station with her.  Her only excuse need be that he’s going in for questioning and he MUST go.  If he refuses, then she can arrest him for his refusal.

because he was there, he did know what went down and who did it, and he joined with Melanie in moving E.J., plus covering up the crime; BUT, Detective Smart-ass could not have questioned him without arresting him; and once she did arrest him, he would have had to have been Mirandized; otherwise, anything he said there in the bar could have been held against him.  He could have gone to the station and simply refused to answer any questions without proper representation, and the interrogation would have had to stop immediately.  It’s a slippery slope, but fact is he is as guilty as Melanie for hiding the truth.  Wonder who this "witness" was, or if that will play into the storyline in any way.

to count who is NOT in on the cover-up.  I don’t think it’s very realistic that that many people could keep quiet about this…although…it seems nobody is keeping quiet anyway.  Everybody has blabbed that it was Brady that beat EJ up.

That we don’t have to see much more of her after mommy dearest is gone. The way they had her approach Dario and Adrienne was incredibly unprofessional. Did she even show them her badge? And even when Adrienne said she was married to a lawyer and knew how to handle this situation, she kept pursuing the questioning without Dario having an attorney present. Filler scene with no purpose except to give Higley’s daughter something on her resume.

I didnt know who the hell she was.   I was watching it with my friend and we both didnt know.  I thought she was just some reporter.  who the heck saw them on the pier?  Only Dario?  He was with Melanie all the time so why did she not know that?  i just thought it was weird.

with speaking parts, many times before.  She even went out on a case with Rafe before.  And she’s been around the station many times.  I knew who she was.  And Dario knew who she was because she had booked him when he was arrested before.

As far as questioning him, she has every right to do that.  A cop can question anyone they want to without an attorney present.  Whether or not the person agrees to answer the questions is another story but they can go ahead and ask all they want.  And, as I said before, if they refuse to answer the questions, they can be "taken in for questioning," not arrested, just for questioning.  They can "lawyer up" then if they want to.  That’s what she should have done, told him, "Either answer my questions here or down at the station."
