if Dario and Gabbi are going to keep speaking to one another in Spanish, I hope they put subtitles on. I didn’t understand a word they said today, but it did look like Rafe2 didn’t know what in the hell they were saying either. All he knew in response was, ‘adios muchachos’. It would be funny AND smart if they were doing it on purpose to catch Rafe2 in something, but unless I blinked and missed it, they do still believe he’s their brother, even though he’s acting like an ass. Meanwhile, I’m so glad real Rafe is out, which means this storyline will be ending very soon.
April 25, 2011 at 10:24 pm #23132BonbonParticipantso he should understand what they’re saying.
April 26, 2011 at 12:38 am #23138luckeyParticipantthat this Hispanic criminal could speak the language; but, it seems that he doesn’t have a clue what is being said. That’s part of what I hope gives him away, but the writers haven’t really shown that to be the direction they are going.
April 26, 2011 at 2:11 am #23143DeeLanParticipantHow do we know he’s Hispanic? He had plastic surgery to make him look like Rafe but he could have been a blonde, blue eyed Swede for all we know.
April 26, 2011 at 2:23 am #23144PattiParticipantHis mug shot didn’t give any indication did it? He sure didn’t look Hispanic in that police photo. Just because he said ‘adios’ doesn’t make him Latino. It’s pretty much a common phrase that most everyone understands, like "Ciao" or "Aloha" or Au revoir, or any number of common phrases for goodbye.
April 26, 2011 at 11:24 am #23145BonbonParticipantwe saw his picture (before the plastic surgery) when he brought it up on the computer. Not only did he have an Hispanic surname (which I don’t remember now) but he had made some referrence to being Hispanic, I believe it was Cuban but not absolutely positive about that part.
April 26, 2011 at 12:50 pm #23147DeeLanParticipantThanks. I don’t remember that part.
April 26, 2011 at 1:13 pm #23149PattiParticipantbut yesterday he referred to Dario and Gabi keep calling him names in Spanish. It struck me then that he did not know what they were saying.
April 26, 2011 at 1:44 pm #23151BonbonParticipanthow would he know they were calling him names?
April 26, 2011 at 2:05 pm #23155mommytutuParticipantHe obviously doesn’t speak Spanish. I don’t recall their entire conversation, I was busy in the kitchen, but I caught bits and pieces and they weren’t calling him names.
April 26, 2011 at 2:47 pm #23157PattiParticipantnot so much as he knew what they were saying. I think TPTB missed a good opportunity here. They should have had Dario and Gabi directing their conversation directly to R2 and waiting for a response from him regarding what they were saying. That would have given them food for thought if he didn’t know how to respond because he ‘no habla espanol.’
