I mean please, shoulda’ coulda’ woulda’ … I swear, when I see him in his scenes lately, I almost have to laugh out loud, especially when he thinks he is one-upping someone and he does this little two-step, then waddles off humming some unrecognizable little ditty. He’s been conjuring up nothing more than empty threats, which I don’t for a minute believe will ever come to be, simply because there is no way in hell that R-2 is going to become the new Rafe, so all of his plans, schemes and rolling rrrrr’s in the universe will be for naught. Talk about ruining a fabulous character actor, if I were Joe M., I would be highly insulted. This is not Stefano DiMera; if it were the real Rafe would be dead by now, R-2 would be the new Rafe having a 6-pack and his way with any eligible female member living in Salem he could find, including Nicole, who would be pounding the sidewalks looking for a pimp and a good meal by now. Johnny and Sydney would chained to each of Mary’s hips, and Sami, ignoring R2’s insistence to let things be, would be begging to spend time with her children. Finally, since he defied him, E.J. DiMera would be cut off at the knees, found wandering around town sniffing Taylor’s scarf, searching for a way out that will never be allowed to happen. I just cannot believe what they have done to Stefano. He’s about as threatening a figure as Parker. Shame, shame, shame!
I was thinking the same thing today watching that nonsense with Rafe and the medical goons (who are there to do what? I think I missed that part.) If this was really Stefano nobody would know where Rafe was. It would be this huge surprise 6 months from now when the real RAfe showed up again. Stefano used to be imposing now he is just as you said, a cartoon version of his former self. These people don’t know how to write for Stefano that’s for sure.
Sorry, I have to disagree. The real Stefano never killed anyone. He just made them disappear. the Lady in white. The princess in the castle. Why he even had tony held prisoner. John and Marlena too. He always held them captive, but never did he kill,
garbage that was used on Passions when Alistair was torturing his daughter Sheridan! That crap wasn’t liked on Passions so why does Days redo it here???? Enough with the torture stuff. Aren’t there enough horrors on the nightly news?! I don’t watch Days to view torture and I suspect that many others here feel the same way. I have found myself FFing or just tuning out for most of the show now.
but I disagree with you (so what’s new, huh?). I’d rather see Stefano with his sense of humor than a totally cruel, heartless bastard. And he’s kept people prisoner before in his "basement." I don’t remember who it was but there’s were several people kept there and he had cameras to watch them, remember the padded room? I’m pretty sure one of them was Marlena. And, don’t forget, EJ doesn’t want Rafe killed, so I don’t think he would encourage EJ’s wrath by doing so.
He just orders the hit and one of his monkeys takes care of it; like he ordered the hit on Dr. Richard Baker; he ordered the assassination of Mayor Marino; and many others far too numerous to mention "disappearing acts", as you so rightfully describe them. Trouble is, you don’t have to pull the trigger to be guilty of the crime.
I hope Faye isnt supposed to stick around too ling either. I never cared for her. her voice reminds me of Taylor’s. too breathy and shaky. very distracting.

I’d like Hope and Jennifer (as someone mentioned) to start an investigation PI service with Sami finally getting a clue and hiring the ladies. Hope will call in Bo, Bo will arrest anything that begins with a D in their last name in Salem, and Justin (now that he’s got his personal life back together) prosecute them and Adrienne will have drinks on the house at the Cheatin’ Heart for everyone after the trial, then Chad takes over the DiMera empire, marries Abby, and then the stories start all over again. Now that is my idea of fun.

a real stinker bad guy too, but Victor has changed for the better I think, but then I always enjoyed watching him. Stefano has always been a favorite of mine, even when he was the meaner of the meanies – there will always have to have a bad guy to give the Salemites fits, I would rather have it be Stefano and EJ than Victor.
