I’m really surprised by this! I don’t think they’ll have Bo and Hope splitting up so maybe they’ll recast? I just can’t picture anybody else playing Bo. Unless, as CatLady speculated, Bo will be put in jail for Stefano’s murder so he will always be off camera. Can’t imagine what they’ll do.
has been telling cast members that he will be leaving the show, although nothing until now has been confirmed. I also read a tweet from PR’s wife, Kelly, thanking the show for using one of her songs (on 6/21/12) in a tribute to Lexi after she dies. I will miss Bo, but now all I will be wondering is whether it is his decision or not. What will this do to Bope, because Kristin Alfonso just re-signed and said she is here to stay. Hmmmm…..recast? Maybe, but it just won’t be the same for me if the do.
Maybe they could get Robert Kelker-Kelly to play Bo again. I wouldn’t mind that. I liked him when he played Bo before. I’ll miss Bo too if they don’t recast him.
I don’t put much belief in people leaving the show as it meaning they’re gone for good. In the past few years how many have we heard were leaving to only find out they were being written off for a short time. The 2 that stand out to me are Bo and John. When Daniel left they said he was leaving the show but it was soon revealed that the actor was on a leave due to making a movie.
Sorry, I never liked Robert Kelker Kelly as Bo. There is no one else who is Bo Brady except Peter Reckell. I’m somsadmthat he is leaving and I honestly don’t know what you do with Hope if there is no Bo. I don’t want Bo to be the murderer, that’s not acceptable!
With all these characters, (many of them shining stars of the show like Mel, Brady, and others "used to be’s" like Jack, Austin and Carrie), now with one of the corner stones of the show Bo leaving…it really makes me wonder…Of course, I’d thought I’d seen and heard everything when John and Marlena first left. Just can’t see a Hope without Beuregard though…and even though they have replaced Bo before…(and I started watching around the time when it was second Bo), however this Bo is the real Bo…
Enough of this rambling and back to my point…There has been four major shakeups with writers revamping what other revamped writers had revamped in as many years…Yet it seems that the out come of all these revamps end up being the same ol’ same ol’ eventually. You can only turn a corner so many times before…you end up at the same exact place. Or…It’s just not "revampable" any more – 47 years is a very long run.
I can’t imagine him being fired and if he has half a brain, he wouldn’t quit unless, like Renee, hs’s saved up enough money to retire, which I doubt very much. Certainly Peter is smart enough to know which side his bread is buttered on. He left before to try out bigger and better things (like so many other soap stars have tried) and failed. I don’t think he’d try it again. Unless maybe he’s going to let Kelly support him.
want to cut his salary 45% when they already cut it drastically the last time pay-cuts were made. That was what I read on another site, anyway.
him not wanting to take such a drastic pay cut, I wonder what he thinks he’s going to do for a job. With all the soaps being cancelled, I’m sure there are a TON of out-of-work soap actors out there so I sure hope he has something else lined up.
I think that Peter Reckell is owner or part owner of a gym so he would have a stable income from that. Maybe he now has a "green" business, who knows…
