I did not expect Hope would simply write Bo a letter. Nor did I expect to see divorce papers. When did she do that?
So will we next hear that Bo agrees and that’s the end? How will little Miss Ciara react to this news?can’t squeeze out a tear no matter how hard she tries. So can we assume Aiden’s wife was not so nice? When Chase asked Aiden if his date was like mommy, Aiden’s “no…she’s not” was somewhat foretelling to me. Damn you, Peter Reckell, you could have returned long enough for Bo to have been killed off, just like any normal soap hero does.
I would have preferred something dramatic and explosive…
My idea was to have Bo call Hope (obviously we only hear her side of the conversation) and tell her he’s landing in Salem… She goes to pick up Bo at the airport and as he is walking from the plane we see him from behind (actor stand in) and the plane explodes… Bo is dead. Hope mourns… moves on.
We could have had some drama… a nice Friday cliffhanger… and had some "closure." And if anything – and Peter wants to come back, he still could.
This "letter" was a cheap way out. AWFUL writers – AWFUL!!!
Marlena’s plane exploded at take-off when the villain before Stefano (oh, why can’t I remember his name) was taking her away to his secret island.
But I definitely feel cheated with this “solution.” I think we were led to expect something dramatic and fulfilling for the fans and we get this? Bah! Although the divorce papers were somewhat of a surprise knowing of Hope’s lifelong commitment and love for Bo. I would assume that would have to be a gut-wrenching decision for her to make.
I did like their scene at TBA though. They were like a couple of giddy teens planning for their first date, all excited but trying to contain it. (And did you notice that horrible ersatz sunlight again in Aiden’s face. I wish they’d get rid of that, it’s so phony.)
It was anti climactic. Hope would never leave Bo. She would wait till his mission was over and at least find out what was going on. But then again Kayla would never leave Steve! Maybe Stefano had everyone in Salem replaced with a double like he did with Rafe. That’s how they should end DOOL when the time comes. We find out all the super couples are in Malaswen living happily!
I really like Hope and Aiden and I loved the scenes where they were planning their date. I’m ok with the Bo resolution. If he was killed, I think she would have a harder and longer time moving on out of guilt, etc. But since Bo is the one who left and cut off contact, what other choice does she have other than living in limbo?
