that I have ZERO interest in.

Yes I’m looking at you Ian.

Why not bring back old characters, even if it’s recasted roles, and make a story line with people we already know and care about?? Meanwhile, somewhere, Kayla is hanging a sign in a pub… ugh.

for "new" characters, we will all give a wit…NOT!  Use the characters we all know history with and care about.

Never saw him before in other soaps but  creepy.   That might be what they want to do  tho but next to Brady   …no contest !!

with an initial look, but I’ve changed my mind enough to now give these characters a little time before making a judgment. But if it’s anything like the Carly/Lawrence mess, you can shove it.

It looks like he’s going to be one bad, bad dude.

I don’t think we can compare him with Lawrence because, although he was a typical "bad guy," his meanness at the end came from some kind of sickness he had.  He never treated Carly like that before.  Ian appears to be…creepy is the best discription I can think of.  VERY creepy.

I wonder how Madison is going to get out of this.  She’s kind of in deep doo-doo with both guys.  Lucy, you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do!

Lawrence’s meanness!  He came on rather evil and then they tried to redeem him before he left with Carly.  As to Ian, I wonder (no spoiler) if he will turn out to be Quinn’s father??  If I remember correctly, Vivian said that Quinn’s father had taken him away from her. He was described as very rich and very powerful by Vivian and the age could match with Vivian and Kate I guess.  I’m guessing there’s more to the Madison being married to him than we know.   I suspect she may have done something or (like Melanie) one of her parents/siblings did something and marrying him was pay back for it.  She doesn’t appear to love him but to fear him.  Just my 2 cents.

that would at least give a reason why Quinn needs to be back on the show.

that Ian would have a connection to Madison, Kate, Victor, Quinn, and now I read Sonny.  Hmmm, wonder where Sonny will come into the picture.  Anyway, I think he is great.  The perfect villain….rich, powerful, controlling, and everything a true soap villain should be.  He sure makes the DiMeras look like weaklings.  Even Victor is no longer what he used to be when we talk about villains.  Now, though, I wish they would have kept Vivian, because if he does turn out to be Quinn’s father, that would have made for some great story-telling.  Too bad.

of everyone on this show being related, it could well be Ian is Quinn’s father.

That would connect Ian to Vivian not Kate.

He could still have known both of them.  Just think, another man Kate and Viv fought over.

and this is exactly the way Vivian described him …. a very wealthy and powerful man who kept her away from Quinn.  Personally, I’m very interested in this character, Ian, especially when I think he’s going to bring a lot of turmoil into the lives of more than just the DiMeras and Kiriakises.  I’m looking forward to him going toe-to-toe with Stefano over his amorous advances to Kate, who, by the way, did not seem all that disinterested to me.  Looked to me like an old flame may have been re-lit in her, although I don’t see why.  I don’t find him very attractive at this point in his life, but he certainly does look like another extremely powerful villain.
