I can certainly understand what Renee’s saying about doing what you want to and when and not knowing when it could all end. It sounds l ike she has saved up for retirement and isn’t into the highly expensive lifestyle of most in the profession. I’ll miss her but wish her the best! This goes with a spoiler that Patti originally posted on the main board.

I knew it would soon be revealed that she has an inoperable brain tumor, but I didn’t expect this.
Renee’s wanting to go back to a place like she knew in her childhood. I grew up on a farm, too, and there is nothing like the peacefulness of being in the country. I hope it turns out to be all that she remembers.
I wonder if dear old daddy Stef will be home in time to say goodbye to Lexi. Hate to sound cruel but this is stefano, it would serve him right after what he’s putting John, marlena, and Bo and hope thru. I keep thinking of poor little Theo.
Congratulations to Renee for being smart with her finances and being able to do what she wants. I love the fact that she wants to work with sick babies. I swear she hasn’t aged since I first saw her on Days years ago. I’ll miss seeing her, but wish her nothing but happiness!
Is she married IRL or have kids? Anyone know? I remember seeing her on an OLD episode of fresh prince of bellaire. She was ashleys teacher or something. And I know Abe was on an episode of Seinfeld, he played a banker, jerry’s grandma got lost then there’s patch he was on an episode of the nanny. Speaking of which, isn’t Charles S (sp?) to come back for some ISA stuff. Man talk about going off topic that I originally started here, lol. I guess I was thinking of Abe and Theo. This is going to break their hearts. I wonder down the road if they will ever pair Abe up with someone, or keep him a poor bachelor forever like they are doing with roman.
Overall I will miss Lexi. She is a terrific actress, when she has good meaty material to work with. Good luck to her!
she mentions her "boyfriend" in the interview. Whether or not she has ever been married or has any kids, I don’t know.
she does say that she’d like to work with sick babies so maybe that is her way of vicariously being a mother? I can’t recall anything about a husband in the past either. From what was said, she was not the typical Hollywood actress, she rarely did intereviews and stayed out of the public arena.
Thank you for sharing. I knew she was going to have a health scared, I didn’t realize it was permanent and because Renee was retiring. I love that she is smart enough to know what she wants in life and that there is something much more worth her time than acting. Good for her! She is obviously and beautiful person inside and out.
I don’t know that she’s ever been married. I thought I read a long time ago that her boyfriend was/is an NFL football player. I could be wrong. And she has never had any kids.
And here I was believing that the writers brought Lexie to her senses and had her apologize to Abe. Now I’m thinking the original plan was to split them up for a while and put her back in the Dimera fold but Renee’s plan to leave made them scrap that crappy idea quick. Too bad she has to die to get a decent storyline. I always thought Lexie was one of the most beautiful ageless women on the show.
That’s for sure. To me, she looks exactly the same as she did 20 years ago. (How long has she been on the show?) Although she’s never been a stand-out character for me, she’s always done a stellar job in her part and, yes, she is one gorgeous woman. She always has nice hair and appropriate wardrobe as opposed to many other women who have come and gone…or are STILL there (Kate? Kayla? Jen? Chloe?).
She will leave a big hole when she leaves. I wonder what will happen to Abethen ??? No job, no wife, no storyline…
