I’ve been watching the Jennifer/Jack mess and I think this is how it should go:  Jennifer tries and tries to contact Jack, with no success.  She keeps reading his travel blog.  She starts to fall in love with Daniel.  Ok, that’s already happening.  But I think it should turn out that Jack really isn’t posting things to his blog.  He has been kidnapped (for whatever reason) and the kidnappers are writing his blog.  Jennifer,  Daniel and Carley go to Australia (isn’t that where he is?) to try to find Jack, and we have a whole adventure with the three of them finding out that he was kidnapped.  We have a bit of a triangle, until finally (after many near-misses) they find Jack.  Daniel and Carley realize they are in love, Jennifer and Jack get back together, and TA-DA!  No more triangle.

Perfect.  It will never happen.  Too bad, it’s perfect.

They (Salemites) have not had any types of adventures in a very long time (you cannot count Hope in prison)…Cruise of Desception, Paris, Ireland, Myan ruins, nothing, nada, zippo, zilch have they gone anywhere or done anything fun like that in a very loooooonnnngggg time…I miss those "Days"

Heck, I know budgets are slim, but they could put a few wallabies in the sand in front of scene of the Cheatin’ Heart, and a sign up to change the name to Billabong Bar, and have the bartender say a few Aussie comments like "G’ddaaaaay Mate" with "Waltzing Matilda" playing in the background  and bingo bammo we’ve got us a walk-about adventure!

But TPTB are too cheap and the writers aren’t creative enough to make it happen.

Jack was in an ashram.  I would assume from that he had gone to some Hindu country in the Middle East, not that there’s not ashrams elsewhere, but, knowing Jack, he’d want to be at the best/most authentic.

I really like that idea Scarlett, and even though I know they can no longer afford to go on location anymore, Pammy’s right, they can make it look like a foreign country.  They’ve fairly recently done it with Paris and Ireland to name a few.

As an aside…please, writers, don’t try to match Jen and Daniel; friends, yes, lovers, NO.  Yes, they’re cute together (I especially loved the darts scene) but I’m holding out for Daniel getting back with Chloe.

I’m willing to bet that something like this is already the case…where Jack hasn’t been able to update, and someone else is doing it for him. I have been thinking that this is the case before you mentioned this. I can’t see them going out to look for him, but I’m sure that Jen will divorice him and then he’ll show up after it’s too late and have a really good excuse for what has been happening and then Jen will regret the divorce and he will be devistated. I can just see that happening!

It will probably happen but not until it’s convenient to the storyline, say about 3-4 years from now.

is in Libia and Kadafy has him locked up somewhere as an insurgent, which we all know Jack could be quite capable of.

You mean when they have shoved Jen and Dan down our throats for so long, that they have gotten together and are happy and then Jack will come back and Jen will have to decide between the two?  Is that when it would be convenient to the story line?

for the writers in their once and again "rinse and repeat" story line…

wraps up all of his other contractual obligations at present.  Right now, beside his Broadway work, he’s also joined one of those on-line soaps (can’t remember which one right now), none of which I watch.  If I did, I would never get anything done in my home, and my vision would be completely shot.
