Ali Sweeney is on AOL’s "You’ve got…" today and she introduces herself as "from The Biggest Loser" and not Days.

Also, she said when she was pregnant the second time she craved pickles and would actually drink the juice.  I thought that was interesting as just yesterday in the flashback while she was PG, we saw her pull a pickle out of the jar in the safehouse and take a big bite.

she talks the most about the promotions of her book(s), or TBL.  Occasionally she adds a line or two about DAYS, but it seems her priorities are her writing and TBL.  Maybe she’s trying to tell us something.

Yes, we all know and love her as Sami Brady/Days of our Lives. But, the majority of people who see her identify her with the Biggest Loser. It has a much bigger fan base than Days. Even my husband has seen her on bits and pieces of BL, but wouldn’t know that she’s on Days.

Thats funny, yesterday  I missed that part with the pickle,  but I just thought to myself that she looked pregnant yesterday with that jacket and her face looked alittle fuller.  I eat pickles all the time and Ive never been pregnant.  just love to snack on them.  never drink the juice though.  ewww.

I remember when she was on Ellen she was pregnant and talking about the pickle juice.  She said her cravings were so bad they’d have jars of pickle juice on the set so she could drink it.

and where she got started.  I can see her not mentioning Days if she were no longer on it but, geeze, she’s on it almost every day.  She’s only on TBL once a week.

So what does everybody think about Susan Lucci possibly being on Desperate Housewives?  I don’t think I’d care for her on there.  But they’ll probably hire her.  Is AMC on ABC?  If so, they’ll probably try to keep her with the network.

she’d be saying Sami on Days but now she’s known by more people for TBL.  Also, if it is a diet type promo, I think she’d also mention TBL rather than DOOL.

AOL have these little video snippets on the homepage (usually from You Tube) and it was there.  She was telling about her cravings while pregnant.

And do you really think more people know her from TBL than Days?  She has been on Days for so long, I’d think that would be her biggest fame.  Even though probably more people watch the nighttime program, I think there would have been more millions–over the years–that have seen her on Days.  Just a guess though.

plus, she was talking about "food" so my guess is when it’s related to ‘food’ she says TBL.

in that the way ABC screwed all these people, knowing they were going to cancel AMC and OLTL, why would any of them want to stay on with ABC?  I’m absolutely positive Lucci’s got hundreds of projects in the wings, acting, talk show, production, and any number of other possibilities outside of acting.  Hell, the woman could probably buy ABC if it were for sale.  With her reputation and popularity, I’d tell ABC to go straight to hell before I’d accept anything from them.  Brian Frons (ABC’s head of daytime tv) should be fired for the way he handled these cancelations and for screwing not only the fans, but these actors as well as hundreds and hundreds of staff, from camera-people, to lighting technicians, to set people, hair, make-up, wardrobe, I mean the list goes on and on.  If you take the time to search and read the many many articles written prior to and after these cancelations, he has been the most blameworthy for the soap genre’s demise.  Maybe bad writing is what I like to refer to as "accidentally on purpose," just so people like Frons don’t have to account for their actions.  It would serve him right if they fired him now that AMC and OLTL have been canceled, mostly because of him.  Hey, I have an idea …. ABC could fire him and give his job to Susan Lucci.  That would be the only way I could accept an offer to stay with ABC.

I don’t know about that.  Susan Lucci is popular among a certain group of people yes, but she is an older woman in show business and you know what that means.  No work.  She can get some bit parts on shows but on TV if you want to have a good part, well it’s rare for women over 40.  Hell it’s rare for woman over 30.  Desperate Housewives is a hit show and if they want Lucci my guess is she will be there.  That’s if she wants to stay in front of the camera, if she doesn’t, then there are other options for her to pursue.  Just my 2 cents.

She’d be foolish not to jump at the chance to appear in DH.  In fact, I’d be willing to bet she would have abondoned AMC for a role in that in a second.  I’m not so sure she’s as popular as you think, Patti.  She’s really a one-trick pony at this point.  The made-for-TV movies she’s done in the past were not well received.  And I just can’t see her as a talk show host.  Geeze, there’s way to many of them as it is.

And I don’t think you can chastize ABC for what they did.  They are in business to make money and they saw the writing on the wall, they had to choice but to do what they had to do.  My last job started laying off people (500 out of a 5,000 workforce), even a couple of workers who had been with the company for 30 years!  Of course everybody started bad-mouthing them like crazy until six months later when the company filed for bankruptcy.  They did the lay-offs so people could get their severance (which was VERY generous, six months pay in some cases), COBRA, etc.  So, in the long run, they were doing these people a huge favor.

I’m not saying ABC is filing for bankruptcy but they realize soaps are going down the tube which virtually leaves them no choice but to go the cancellation route.  I don’t think it’s fair to say they used bad writing to kill the shows.  That just wouldn’t make sense.

BTW, I hope all you moms out there had a very happy mom’s day.  I sure did…even though my kids weren’t here.  I talked to each one on the phone for an hour each.  They had decided to admit something to me they did when they were younger and never told me.  I won’t go into that!!!! :o)
