Emmy-winner Darin Brooks (Max) is headed back to Salem. The actor, who is currently starring on Spike TV’s BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE, will return in March for a couple of episodes to check in on sister Melanie.

Wow, I wonder if the truth about Carly being Melanie’s mother will be out then? I can’t wait to see him! It’s so rare to see an actor come back after they’re already on another show!
her daughter but Vivian thinks she knows and told Victor that it was Mia! As for how the actor could come back: I believe that that cable network is also owned by NBC thus allowing the sharing of actors.
I’m sure it won’t come out for Vivian and the rest of Salem that it’s Melanie, not Mia until he returns or shortly before.If Daniel turns out to be Melanie’s father, then Max and Melanie aren’t brother and sister after all. It seemed like Days took a lot of time building up their relationship… only to turn around and invalidate it!
I can almost see it now; Melanie finds out she is the daughter of Carly and Daniel; Max returns to town to visit Melanie; Phillip and Melanie break up; she goes to Max for comfort and before we know it, SNAP; Max and Melanie are a couple. Hey, don’t throw the eggs yet; it could happen. (LOL)
…and bite it hard. I’d definitely put my foot through the TV if that happens.
And I’d still like to know where this Daniel-as-father came from. Is it just speculation or is it a spoiler? I sure hope that doesn’t happen.
Well that’s two of us who thought along the same lines Patti – I’m not so sure that you may be incorrect on this speculation…not so very far fetched of an idea that they planned this. The writer’s would and could go there – but don’t think that they should. How’s your insurance Bonbon?
it’s just pure speculation at this point. There have been no spoilers to say that Dan is the father. It’s just that Carly admitted that her affair was with a colleague at a medical convention many years ago. Then she comes to town and we find out that her and Dr. Dan were "old" friends back in the day, and that she (Carly) introduced Dan to his wife, Rebecca; so, in most of our just a little bit dirty, but mostly intuitive, minds it was automatically assumed….AH HA! No spoilers printed on this though.
Just because they said colleague doesn’t mean he was a medical doctor. It could very well have been Trent since he’s a college professor and most likely has a PhD that would make him a Dr. of ___. He could have been an attendee or a speaker. Of course Trent was into so many different schemes he could have been posing as a medical doctor at the convention.
…I am so very opposed to that happening I guess I didn’t want to believe it was even a slight possibility. But, you’re probably right otherwise why did they make it that they knew each other. It’s just that I didn’t think Dan would have cheated on his wife. She wouldn’t have been dead yet that long ago.
Bah! If that happens, I will not like it at all. Not that there hasn’t been other crap that I haven’t liked. And it’s right that a happy couple is a boring couple. I can already see that happening with Chloe and Dan. RATS!
