O.K., I know she is hurt, but all she is doing is running away again, and picking the worst mement to do it. Rafe is really down about his sister’s wrong conviction, and this is when she pulls the papers out of her purse and says is wasn’t just the "fling" he had with Sami it was "other things". Then she claims he broke the engagement. In fact she was the one who kept putting off setting a date till he said she must not want to get married to him, and she gave the ring back then. Rafe should count himself lucky to avoid marriage to a woman who runs hot and cold so much.
I hope Sami comes back with little Rafe and they make Hope so jelous she smokes out of her ears.
I’m with Hope. Rafe was quick to give up back when they had their fight. And now all of a sudden he’s deciding he’s going to fight for her? Besides I don’t like him and her together. Every time I see him I think of all the words he and Sammy gave to each other with their soulmate stuff back when.
when they had their argument that no one could live up to “Bo, the love of her life”? I recall it stunning Rafe after both of them sharing how much each of them loved the other. That was where I thought she said it would never work and she broke off the engagement. Maybe I’m remembering wrong.
Hope gave the ring back. Hope said Bonwas the love of her life. Hope said no one could compare to Bo. If I were Rafe, I would have interpreted that to mean I can’t marry you, I don’t want to marry you. I hate Hope! She’s a quitter! The only thing I would have done, that Rafe didn’t do, was tear up those annulment papers before he threw them away.
Once someone says that the dead husband was the love of their life and no one else could live up to him, that is the end. It was cruel and I love Rafe, but he is crazy to want to stay in a relationship where he is a distant second to a dead man. Our lives go through many seasons and many people have more than one love in their lives, each unique. Now maybe she will never again have the passion of teenagers in love, but that doesn’t mean she cannot love someone else just as deeply, if not as wildly.
