it’s because she hates JJ and just wants what’s best for "her daughter?" That woman is the scum of the earth. She is green with envy over the fact that JJ loves Paige and hates her sicko mother. I can’t help but feel sorry for Paige when all of this is flushed out. Have we ever had a suicide on this show? It wouldn’t surprise me if Paige would at least attempt one when the truth is revealed. Although I wish it would be Eve instead of Paige, and that she would succeed. What a horrible, worthless character. No wonder Theresa is so self-destructive. Look whose shoes she has been walking in for most of her life. I hope the new writers destroy Eve. Better yet, I hope Shane destroys her!!!
a mom and daughter pregnant at the same time by the same person? That possibility popped into my head today. I can just imagine Paige finding the pregnancy test before her mom can "take care of it", and begging her to keep the baby. I know Jennifer was careful to ask if JJ was safe with Paige, but who knows what’s coming. I can’t imagine TPTB would go in that direction, at least I hope they wouldn’t!
to have someone come up pregnant the way they have all been hopping in and out of bed the way they do. These new writers seem to have an obsession with sex because I don’t remember ever seeing so many bed scenes like there are recently. Geeze, we’ve got JJ and Paige, Brady and Mel, Lucas and Adrienne (BTW, loved Victor’s remark, “Lucas, you’re fired!) Eric and “Red” and soon, Daniel and Nicole. Holy cow, I suppose next we’ll be seeing Victor and Maggie rolling in the hay.
I think most of us have expressed our displeasure with seeing everybody “doing it.” So why do they continue writing this crap? Not only that, what’s with always tearing their clothes off? Yes, I can see that happening like the first time but, come on, Lucas and Adrienne were like rabbits yesterday. That reminds me, Lucas needs to get to the gym. He’s getting a little flabby and has no muscle definition at all. Pretty unusual for a soap dude. Now Daniel on the other hand… Ooh, la, la!!!
not too long ago and no one seemed to come up with any. Patti, I think if anybody would remember it’d be you. You seem to have all those little facts tucked away somewhere in your head. :o) I think I was wondering about Theresa considering it, being in the deep blue funk she’s been in since the baby-snatching.
I wonder if maybe that is a taboo subject for soaps, although I don’t know why it would be, it happens IRL, and I think it’d make a great storyline topic. Of course if someone DID attempt it, they’d have to then go the psychiatric route afterwards. But, yeah, I can sure see Eve considering it if she finds out and, find out she certainly will.
I see no reason why suicide would be taboo. Especially on the teen level. And with such an intense situation with one’s mother having sex with one’s boyfriend, I could certainly see shock and depression leading that way. This could be very effective, dramatic and enlightening if done right. As for sex, well I guess sex sells, but to me it’s simply lazy writing. And when you are exposed to it that much, for me it’s not a turnon but not involving at all.
I know most people tend to gain weight with age, but Bryan Dattilo is certainly not the "hunk" he used to be. I do, however, agree about Shawn Christian. "Woof!" Guess that’s why Lucas didn’t appear in the male stripper show. LOL!
Thats why all the sex. You don’t have to write dialog if all of the characters are f#%^ing like rabbits. Not one word has to be put on a page. They can throw some music in the background and have the actors grunt and breathe heavy, that will suck up at least 10 to 15 minutes of the show.
I know that the actress who played Lee Dumonde (Brenda Benet) committed suicide IRL, but it had nothing to do with, nor was it any part of, the show. She took her own life at the age of 36 after a prolonged depression resulting from the death of her and Bill Bixby’s son, Christopher, after the child died from cardiac arrest after a skiing accident when he was about 7 years old.
two beautiful parents and a gorgeous son. I think too Brenda blamed Bill because he had the child on his own that day?
And then of course Bill died from cancer all too young.
I’ve never been a parent but I cannot imagine the pain from the loss of a child.Was never really a hunk though LOL…. He’s short – and his body was always rather weird to me. But he looks REAL now – good for him. I never found Bryan attractive but at least his body is authentic (especially by soap standards.)
and there was a time when I loved him and Sami together, but that was when they were both very young. Now, Lucas does not appeal to me at all, but I would still put him above Paul Telfer (Xander). Now Christopher Sean…that’s sex appeal on a stick, IMO. Although I prefer his look as Gabriel on Hawaii 5-0 much more than I do as Paul on DOOL.
