Poor Chynna …. Ix-Nay on the Og-Fay …. but doubtful it hurt her too much. She’s still terrific, but she was completely lost last night.
Really liked David Arquette’s Indiana Jones number last night. Loved the movie themes, but they certainly didn’t make good songs for ballroom dancing.
Loved J.R.’s foxtrot to theme from Pink Panther, and thought Len was too critical of it, although he did say J.R. was probably best male dancer on the show this season.
Rikki Lake just keeps getting better and better. Her and Derek dancing to the theme from Psycho was gorgeous, and although she is a wonderful dancer, sometimes I think the votes are as much for Derek as for his partner. He’s just that popular.
Good Lord, Cher actually looked scary to me last night. Chaz did a good job for his size, especially performing (or trying to perform) a paso doble, taking his weight and knees into consideration. He sure got up those stairs quick enough, though. I’d be willing to bet that he is saved again tonight. The crowd just eats him up.
Maks and Hope looked like they were really enjoying being Woody and his girlfriend, but, again, I thought the theme from Toy Story was a tough number for ballroom dancing.
Poor Nancy lost her balance right at the end and fell on her knees (Ouch!)
Rob Kardashian was fair, but his Clark Kent number paled in comparison to the season Cameron Mathaison (AMC’s Ryan Lavery) danced to the Superman theme, but Rob is still just a bit too cocky for my liking.
I’m thinking that tonight might be the end of the funny-man (Queer Eye For The Straight Guy – whose name escapes me).
The show was good, but there are really only 2 or 3 "good" stars this year. Also, the flare of this season just doesn’t have the same spark as in years past, but I still enjoy watching.
Really looking forward to seeing Derek and Juliana Hough dance together tonight, plus her routine from Footloose!
Len is having his period or something. He can be so crabby and over-critical and I think last night was one of those nights. He seems to judge just the opposite of what I think.
I loved everything you mentioned too, Patti. It was a good night for music which I think is sorely lacking this season. There are so many good songs that fit the dance and I don’t understand why they are not using them. I think the costumes, choreography, hair and make-up, orchestra, lighting, singers, sets, everything else is fantastic but the music is mostly leaving me flat.
I’d really hate to see Carson go and I don’t think he’s the worst dancer on the show by far. And he is so very entertaining, I hope he makes it for several more weeks.
I too am looking forward very much to the Houghs dancing tonight. They are SO talented. I really miss Julianne being on the show. I hope she comes back but I fear she has moved on to bigger and better things.
And it looks to me like Val is really going to give Maks a run for his money. Even though he’s been eliminated, he seems to be really envolved in the troupe dances. I’d LOVE to see a dance-off between them and see who is the better dancer. I know Maks has won more titles than Val but he’s been dancing longer too. Maybe I should suggest that to the producers…ya think?
What a shame. And for only one poor performance. I really feel worse for Tony than I do Chynna. That’s two now who should NOT be gone.
I want to know who in the heck is keeping Nancy and Chaz on there. I can’t believe they have that big a fan base. Most people hate Nancy on her show so why would they vote for her? Carson must be getting votes because of his entertainment value.
about “most people” hating Nancy on her show, as it remains popular. I may be wrong but I think votes for Nancy are tied in to helping her victims foundation?
with just one poor performance after the great ones she’s done so far. I’ve been voting for her and did so even though Monday was not good. I’m now torn between JR and Ricki.
They’ve really glammed Susan Boyle haven’t they! She really looks cute! And they finally dressed her in something more flattering than those old "Kate Smith" dresses that she had been wearing. She makes me smile.
she certainly didn’t deserve to because of one dance. I agree, Bonbon, I think I feel worse for Tony than I do for Chynna. I did suspect Chaz Bono would be saved, but I felt strongly that it would be Nancy or Carson who would be going home. Just goes to show ya’ – it’s not always what you know, but who you know – and, for sure, it IS always better to be lucky than good! Too bad!
NANCY GRACE ROCKS! And I’m soooo hoping she makes it to the final round! I totally appreciate all the great work she does, in efforts to find missing children etc.! Her show (that airs live weeknights on HLN) is so awesome! I love it when she exclaims, "UNLEASH THE LAWYERS!" Any-woo…Cheers to Mrs. Grace!

How in the WORLD did Chaz Bono (no relation..lol lol) live to dance another week?! Did we watch the same performance Monday night? Chaz was…was…HORRIBLE! And to think, the lady judge gave Chaz a score one point shy of what she gave to JR (the actor who performed to the pink panther music)! Are you kidding me?! If Chaz was good enough for a seven, lady, JR was more than deserving of a 10!
With all of that said…
I loooove me some Ricki Lake! Her "psycho" performance was AMAZING! The technique, the storyline, etc. It was so beautifully woven together! And I loved the ending, when she ran behind the screen, and her partner dragged her back, and then he stabbed her…That was soooo good!
