I felt like Carrie Ann did, I was absolutely mesmorized!  That was an incredible job of choreography that Derek did.   A 50s Paso Doble?  Who wouda thunk?  Those two kids (he and Julianne) are certainly talented.

But I also thought the futuristic cha-cha was great.  Maybe his performance wasn’t a 10 but the dance certainly was.

I still think Nicole is going to win and I don’t think it will be entirely based on her popularity.  She has definitely been the best ‘consistant’ dancer on the show.  And when a judge says you’re the best dancer ‘ever’ on the show…well…there you go.

Nicole studied dance in college.  She has never been on a par with the other "stars."   She should be in the lead!

Everyone was terrific, and I was so happy to see Evan tie with Nicole in last night’s top spot.  This will be a tough one, but I would find it extremely difficult to believe either of them will be sent home tonight.  I’m picking up a distinct dislike between Max and Len (top judge).  Len definitely doesn’t like the male bodies exposed so much, so that didn’t sit well for either Max or Chad last night.  However, like AI, it’s the public’s votes that count, and I think more people like Chad than Max (although I love him).  My guess will be that Max and Erin will go home, although she is fantastic in her own right.  Hate to see it end — this has been a terrific year.  Nicole is still my bet to take the mirrored ball, but I so wish they could give two out this year, because Evan deserves it just as much.

I think it will be Chad going home instead of Erin.  I’ve said all along that I thought Nicole would win but I too wish they could give out two because I think Evan is totally equal–at this point–with Nicole.  Nicole was quite good from the beginning whereas Evan had to improve, which, IMO, he did…greatly!  But it was the same thing when Gilles Marini came in second.  He deserved to win also.  And, yes, this has been a great year.

I don’t think it’s as serious between Len and Maks (not Max, BTW) as you might think.  It’s just that Maks is not afraid to give Len his opinion of Len’s opinion.  And I don’t think he is as arrogant as most people think he is even though he comes across that way.  I’ve always loved both him and Tony.

It’s going to be interesting to see Kate Gossling back.  She was on ET last night and actually appeared to be enjoying herself and acting more like a TV personality.  They have probably been giving her acting lessons because she did a very good job.  For some reason, TPTB somewhere have certainly taken an interest in her because they keep bringing her back again and again.  I’m anxious to see her new show on TLC, not so much for her but to see the kids again.  I missed Jon and Kate + Eight.

I never realized it was "Maks".  Guess I didn’t pay that much attention to how he spelled his name.  I was going strictly on phonetics.  Sounds like  "M-a-x" so that’s how I always spelled it.  Thanks for the heads-up.

I don’t know how many times after she says that, he’s said, "I’m from the Ukrane."  It’s the way he says it.  He is so funny.  And she imitates him so well.  They are an entertaining couple.  I bet they could be a lot of fun going out with.

but I must say, I’m glad to see Maks and Erin catch a break, even though I find it almost inconceivable that they could catch either Nicole or Evan.  That finale, which I’m 99 44/100% sure will be between Nicole/Derek and Evan/Anna, should be the most watched show in DWTS’s history.  Barring any unforeseen accident or mishaps, I’m sure it will come down to who will win with the popular vote, because to me the competitive vote is dead-even.

if only because I think Derek is the more popular of the pros and I ‘think’ Nicole probably has a wee bit larger fan base than Even.  But, yeah, I’d say they’re dead even in talent too.

and it turned out exactly as it should be, with Nicole and Derek winning it.  As much as I love Evan and Anna, and Maks and Erin, Nicole was just unbeatable.  She is an extreme perfectionist and it showed in her dances. She could compete on any level with any one of those professional ladies on DWTS, IMHO.  She deserved to win it.

Amen!  This is the first season I would have been happy if any of the three had won.  I thought they were all fantastic…but…Nicole was just a tad fantasticer.

Just curious – I went to bed before it was over, figuring Nicole and Derek would win.  My question, though, did Kate Gosselin do any better dancing than before?

She was just as bad this time as before.  Fortunately for us, her dance was very short.  I didn’t know anybody could be that terrible at dancing.  I thought my brother was the worst dancer in the world but he was much better than Kate.  Although I will say, her personality while she had the mike was 100% better.  I think maybe someone from one of the shows she’s been appearing on has given her some "celebrity" lessons.  Or maybe TLC is mentoring her to get higher ratings when her new show starts.

BTW, I wonder why Jon relented in letting the kids appear on TV again.  I guess he figured he couldn’t support them, he’d better let Kate do it any way she could.  The season starts with the sextuplets’ sixth birthday.  I’m looking forward to seeing those little cuties again.
