There was some really great dancing last night. Good call on Bethany and Derek being eliminated as they were my least favorite. Derek’s already won 5 times but I honestly thought they were the "weakest" of the final four.
I loved Alfonso and Whitney’s freestyle. It was the best of all the freestyles, IMO. Very classy and very creative. It felt traditional yet very modern at the same time. I thought Sadie’s and Mark’s freestyle was very good as well. I did not like Val and Janel’s though. I didn’t like the song with the dance and I just didn’t feel the dance. Janel was getting on my nerves a bit last night with all the crying and seriousness. Normally I like when the dancers/pros show emotion but to me, she was way too weepy and serious and she didn’t look like she was having fun at all last night. That’s how I saw it anyway.
I am hoping Alfonso wins tonight but I wouldn’t be disappointed if Sadie won. I’d rather Janel not win but it’s no big deal really as they are all great dancers.
This has been such a competitive season and anyone could take the trophy. But I said from the first it is Alfonso’s to lose. I do get a tad irritated that those with dance backgrounds do have an edge.
I got a huge kick out of Sadie and Mark’s dances; he seemed to take advantage of Sadie’s youth and sense of fun. That roll she did had to have great timing. For a teenager she came so far.
Bethany – come on – cut with the drama. This is a dance show; you’re not living under ISIS. And Val having to prop her up bugged me too.
I also thought Alfonso brought up his injuries and pain too often. Where’s my violin?
I do believe Alfonso, based on the entire body of work deserves the win, but everyone did so well.but I’m still so rooting for Sadie and Mark. I loved their Mario themed freestyle and really have a lot of respect for this young lady, who has absolutely NO prior dance experience, whereas Alfonso has years of it. I’m not taking anything away from him, because I love watching him, going all the way back to when he did the promo/commercial with Michael Jackson many years ago. He is truly a talented dancer. I, too, was glad to see Derek and Bethany eliminated, even though their freestyle was flawless; however, for Sadie’s age and total lack of prior dance experience, I just can’t help rooting for her and Mark to win it all. Of course, barring some tragic mistake by Alfonso and Whitney, it is unlikely that will happen. Still, props to her and Mark for making the finals. I’m just not crazy about Val and Janel at all. They are way too OTT with their sexual inuendos on the dancefloor for my taste. Fantastic season, though, to be sure!
that Val and Janell were disgusting to watch. Val is creepy and he can’t keep his hands off of janell and him kissing her on the lips so much and laying on top of her on the floor. He seems to latch on any woman who walks in.
I am so relieved that Val and Janell didn’t win. Alfonso is a total dancer and great to watch. Sadie did so well all through the season and I was hoping she would win. BUt Alfonso was the winner.
It could be any one of them and I’d be fine with that. They have all done a great job and they’ve all be enjoyable to watch.
So, have at it you guys and may the best dancer win.
but at least Sadie and Mark got runner-up instead of Val and Janell. I’m sure Sadie and her family were very proud of that honor. She just seems to be a terrific young lady and very humble and gracious as well. I believe she was genuinely happy for Alfonso.
