Am I the only one who found Abe’s attitude toward Marlena to be somewhat condescending? He treated her as if she were something of a dullard, I felt. Telling her if Chad gets in touch with her he would consider it aiding and abetting if she didn’t report it. Chad IS your nephew Abe and if Marlena, who you have known for years and respected for all those years, has doubts about him don’t you think you should listen to her(especially since she is the one who was attacked) and give her opinions a little more credence? I feel as though he is as bad as Justin in this case. Justin wants to “get a DiMera” and Abe wants to prove he has no sympathies toward Chad just because he is his nephew. I don’t know, I usually like Abe but yesterday he was just a bit to “holier than thou” for me and I loved the look on Marlena’s face when he implied she was not a good judge of character because she helped Chad, the words to the effect that she had suffered from poor judgment.
and I was surprised because Abe has never treated Marlena like that, ever. He actually threatened her to the point of accusing her of helping Chad, either through hypnosis or simply covering for him and by not turning him into the police if, in fact, she knows where he is. Marlena will handle it though, since I think the writing is going really well for Doc as well as for John.
However, the two who deserved the famous "*itch-slap" from me yesterday were Nicole and Kate. Believe me, I have no desire to see an overnight reformation of Theresa, and I certainly will be disgusted if Brady allows her to trap him again, but I think both Nicole and Kate were anythng but comic relief yesterday. As a matter of fact, I think both of their broomsticks were quite obvious yesterday. Get over it ladies before that anvil you’re trying to drop on Theresa’s head does a complete reversal and lands on both of you.
I actually felt a little sorry for Theresa yesterday. Not that I will ever believe her to be truly reformed but I felt for her when she told Maggie the story about Kim being so interested in helping abused women that she never gave any value to what Theresa enjoyed and was good at. And now those two blow in like the wicked witches of Oz and try to drop a house on her. I think Brady feels for the situation but hopefully will not get sucked in by her, even though in her own warped way I think she really does have feelings for Brady.
I agree to a point. However, Theresa didn’t put in the money– Kate and Nicole did. Both of the have experence running a business and Theresa doesn’t. Although she has good design ideas, like Brady told her no one starts at the top.
I do agree that they should have her submit her designs. I also think they should give Eric the hoto job. He is good at that.
Marlena had it coming. It is a breach of ethics to treat Chad in any way if he is a person of interest in the case. Marlena is always so quick to tell people she can’t discuss any cases etc. she should know better and Abe is correct. I do however think Abe should find out why Marlena may have doubts about Chad attacking her.
No sympathy for Theresa either. She deserves whatever crappy treatment Kate and Nicole dole out. Plus Kate is correct, she can’t expect to start at the top. She needs humbling and to study under a professional and earn her stripes. This Basic Black storyline is one of the weakest for me.
was that he did not seem so much upset with her for talking to Chad as for trying to imply that perhaps Chad was not the murderer. He jumped all over her when she tried to suggest that it made no sense for Chad to come to her and then try to kill her. That was when he pulled the big guns out and told her she could go to jail for trying to help him and that she seemed to be suffering from judgment lapses. He is on the same wagon as Justin, nobody else could be guilty so why bother to investigate. Won’t they both look like horses rears when the truth comes out?
Yes and that attitude has led to real life killers going free because the police become fixated an don’t bother to investigate all the clues!!
besides as MAYOR, Abe has no right to say anything to Marlena about being charged for helping Chad. Abe is not a cop.
Justin has become power hungry and has tunnel vision. He is on a high horse and deserves to get knocked off it.
down the road Theresa’s designs will either save or drive the company. Someone with clout will catch that her little black dress is a hot commodity and like it or not Theresa will become a success.
Just because you can draw pretty pictures doesn’t come anywhere near to being a talented designer. You have to be an expert on fabrics, construction, color, trends, and a whole bunch of other stuff that you’re not just born with, it has to be learned, and you can’t do that overnight. I applauded Nicole and Kate yesterday when they relegated her to a coffee gofer. I actually smiled out loud.
Kate and Brady weren’t both correct in telling Theresa the cold hard facts about being a true "designer," and basically having to crawl before you walk; I just meant they (Nikki and Kate) didn’t have to be such *itches about it and use Theresa for their personal "gopher"! Still, I would not put it past these writers to make her an ‘overnight’ fashionista, no matter how silly it would be.
