his scenes with Steve yesterday were horrible; all that OTT screaming, punching, crying….I suppose it was meant to be heartfelt drama between a father and his son, but for me it was more like ….. damn….another teen actor who needs a lot of work.  He is a cutie, though!!!

is obviously going to be a love interest for Joey, so now we have another new teen with no backstory; hell, I’m still trying to figure out who Henry is and where he came from.

but so far as I can tell, that’s not what it’s going to look like.  This is what Kayla was trying to explain to Roman.

because you knew it was coming; however, I didn’t notice her put anything in her purse that would have been small enough yet hard enough to knock JJ down and out for what, all of 3 seconds?  I’m so glad this is the last week we are going to see anymore of Dena Higley’s writing for the next 6 months anyway.  It will be all Josh Griffith and Beth Milstein, so I’ll be closely watching for things to improve until Higley’s return sls go into back on air again….

By the way, Jamie Giddens (sp?) from Daytime Confidential did some sort of podcast or something where he revealed that from his "multiple sources", which he deems reliable, Josh Griffth simply quit stating he could not work with Higley.  That’s interesting, but no surprise.  From my understanding, the woman is hell to work with.  Poor new headwriter is going to have little to no say in the sls and that scares me.

Vivian Jovanni is just not good enough to pull this part off.  She is also beginning to annoy me by keeping this to herself and not telling anyone what happened to her.  She’s even trying to convince Theo that maybe she’s just a "bad girl," and maybe that’s the writing, but the actress is making it very distressful to watch her through this sl.  I’m growing tired of it already!

the new character, Summer, reminds me of Ava in that I think that the actor (Marie Wilson) resembles Tamara Braun a little.  Maybe that’s why I can’t stand her already.  LOL!

from JJ playing cop and failing miserably, to this Daniel’s heart sl.  I mean, please, can we let Daniel die?  But no, the entire sl now involving Brady, Theresa, Nicole and now Summer, all have one binding reason for being written….to preserve Daniel Jonas.  And don’t even get me started on this Ava crappy mess.  How long do we have to endure this?  Ugh, why am I even watching this *hit?

and absolutely no one had any problems calling him a rapist!  But, this is the woman raping the man, so I guess everyone, including the show itself, will turn its head to Ava being considered a rapist and consider Steve could overpower her.  That video had no sound, so no one could hear her threats to let Kayla die if Steve didn’t make love to her.  So, yep, Ava is a rapist, and that’s exactly what she’s being called on every message board I’ve looked at.

but I don’t think it was due to Ryan Quan.  He was a script typist for Passions, and that was all the way back in 1999.  I don’t know how far up the ladder he went on Passions, but he has been with DOOL since 2008 or 09, and has worked his way up from script typist to an assistant writer, and then he was a breakdown writer, and eventually he became the assistant headwriter, and now he is co-headwriter with Higley.  If there is any saving grace in this at all, it will be that at least Quan knows the characters and what’s been happening in Salem for the last 7 or 8 years, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it might not be as bad as it sounds.  From what I can tell, Griffith left on his own.  He wasn’t fired, but who knows?  Personally, I think he simply signed a 1-year contract to work with Higley and the returning vets to get the show throgh the 50th and help to bring back fans who left, and then he was out the door to move on to bigger and better things.  At least he has been replaced with a writer who knows DOOL and not one who needs to read up on its history and then decide to change it…again!  So, good luck to you, Ryan Quan and Dena Higley, and more importantly, for me, good luck to us, the fans!!!

it does appear that she is willing to do anything to repair her relationship with Claire, even if it means foregoing any relationship with either Shawn or Philip.  She was somewhat more determined today to make that happen, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see.   But, I would have to say that buying a 16-year old her very own nightclub is not the way to do it.

If any head-writer was leaving I would have wanted it to be Dena Higley, not Josh Griffith.  This sure sounds more like "behind-the-scenes" issues to me.  I now have to think JG only agreed to sign on long enough to get through the 50th anniversary.

I feel exactly the same way.  Andre, and Stefano, too, for that matter, deserve to die for all the things they’ve done to our Salemites over the years; however, why take two good cops like Hope and Rafe and have them go against everything they have ever stood for, knowing their love for the law as well as their jobs, and commmit this shameful act.  Sure, they’ve protected their loved ones from the law at times, but cold blooded murder and then covering it up, and now framing Andre just never did sit well with me.  I, too, love both Hope and Rafe and find myself rooting for them to get caught and face some sincere punishment for this crime, just because it’s not their nature.  As far as I’m concerned, I’m hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.  For me, nothing justifies what they both did here, and this cover-up and framing of Andre is not going to do either of them any favors once the whole truth comes out, not if but when it happens.  I think Roman is already suspicious.

but aside from a very limited dialogue today, Ciara obviously has decided not to say anything about it….for now!  Wrong, Ciara!  Keeping it inside will only cause you to have a complete meltdown at some point.  If you don’t want to tell Theo or any of your other friends, I can understand that; but, at least find someone you feel close to and let it out…. then again, whose lives aren’t messed on on this show right now?  Maybe you should call Marlena or even Julie, who have both gone through it themselves.  But don’t hide what Chase did to you!  How about your grandpa, Roman? I would suggest Rafe, but he has his hands full with your mom’s problems right now.  In any case, Chase needs to answer for what he did to you.

and that’s why I said I don’t like the writing for Belle.  She’s very hardened in her ways now, and I expect she’s that way because she blames Shawn for leaving her and filing for divorce, for which he had good cause.  It’s just that she has tried, on several times, to keep Claire in her life.  It’s a horrible sl for Belle, and she was even worse today with Shawn.  This is not the Belle Brady I wanted to see return, and I hope the writers do something to bring her back to reality.  My complaint was strictly against 16-year old Claire speaking to her mother that way, and I still think she deserved a slap for it.  I remember how awful Sami talked to Marlena for so many years, and now Belle seems to be parroting her sister where Marlena is concerned as well.  So, I guess, as the saying goes, we are all products of our environment at times.  It wasn’t pretty when Sami was young the way she spoke to Marlena, but I also remember more than one good slap going across Sami’s face for it.  "Whore" may have been the right word to use by an adult to describe Belle’s Vegas trip with Philip, but it should never come out of the mouth of her daughter.  That’s all I was saying.

with the John’s parentage sl.  Unless, of course, he has something to do with the Ireland land that was supposedly being willed to Abigail.
