Participantand Austin …. lousy writers can’t let any couple stay happy.

Participantshe was named after Eugene Bradford ….

ParticipantEven though it hurt Will to see what he saw between his mother and E.J., I don’t think that he is being truthful to himself. Right now I look at it that he is ashamed of being gay, and hiding and denying it, even to himself, coupled with the convenience of not having to reveal what is truly bothering him and being able to blame it on what he saw between Sami and E.J. It is his perfect excuse to put the shame he is feeling on that instead of realizing that he is who he is and he’s simply too afraid of what everyone will think of him. It’s eating him alive, and the sooner he admits it, first to himself, and then to his friends, who have openly accepted Sonny, the sooner he will be able to tolerate his mother and E.J.’s guilt sex. He damn well knows Sami is not a "slut" as he called her, and as much as I love CM in this role and agree that he is doing a stupendous job with it, I’m kinda’ p.o.’d that he doesn’t see that all of his haranguing on Sami and E.J. is simply a protective blanket he has placed around him where he can hide from himself and his true identity. I hope Marlena gets to the real problem behind Will’s meltdowns and is able to sort them out in correct order. Sami may be a huge part, but she is NOT the reason for it …. she is the perfect excuse for it!

Participantnot only in Will’s life, but in the lives of many members of her family. I just don’t think it is fair to put ALL of the blame on her. Will is going through some life changing anxiety right now, and I feel that Sami is a forefront for much of his trauma. It’s much easier for him to blame Sami for his guilt than it is to admit that he has other reasons for it. You said you felt so bad that Sami has caused Will so much heartache. All I’m saying is that Sami is not the sole reason for the trauma in his life. She seems to be trying very hard to make Will tell her why he is acting out, but Will is so, and I use this word loosely, "ashamed" of his true feelings that he feels it is easier to blame his mother for it than he is to admit, even to himself, the truth, which is that he is finally realizing his own identity. And, although we all have our favorite characters, whether we love them, hate them, or love to hate them, I think sometimes it’s easier to blame Sami than to look deeper to discover the truth hidden beneath the trauma. I’m sorry if I offended your POV, but sometimes I think Sami is road-kill, no matter what the situation. You might not come out and say you "hate" the character, I have to say that I perceive comments about Sami by many here that she is a hopeless character who doesn’t love her children and thinks only of herself, and many times this is true. I just think in this particular instance, Sami is being used as an excuse for Will’s deep, hidden feelings, so it’s much easier to blame Sami than for Will to admit what is really tearing him apart, and I think that will soon become evident. Sorry, Goody, if I offended you with my response. I just think Sami is a perfect excuse for Will’s actions right now. Love ya’, and hope we’re still DOOL buddies, no matter what each other’s POV’s are.

ParticipantRESEARCH….RESEARCH….RESEARCH —- would be nice to follow the history road once in awhile.
Patti
Participantshe certainly is NOT the only one causing Will heartache in his life. His refusal to accept that he’s realizing more and more each day that he is gay is playing a huge part in his emotional breakdown right now. I guess it’s easy to blame Sami for EVERYTHING Will is going through, but that, simply put, is just not the case.
Patti
ParticipantI’m getting a picture of this in my mind now; and, yes, I’m cracking up while I’m typing. LOLOL!
Patti
Participantbut I don’t know whether it will be because he finds out about her and E.J., or if it’s because she took the job with CW (Kate) without talking to him about it. He did agree to go into business with Carrie, but had the courtesy to put his wife’s thoughts about it first before committing to Carrie’s offer. Doesn’t, once again, say much for Sami’s consideration of how Rafe would feel before she took Kate’s offer, especially when Rafe KNOWS it was the DiMeras who set John up.
Patti
ParticipantThey do, however, need another young, ‘straight’ actor on the show right now. I don’t believe Abbey and Austin will lead to anything, unless, of course, these writers decide to pair off Rafe and Carrie, causing major problems between Carrie and Austin. I sure hope not, but it looks like they are going in that direction. Hate that these writers simply cannot let a solid marriage remain solid. I like Chad with Abbey, but I’m starting to like him with Mel more. As for Gabbi, somebody needs to fill her in on Quinn’s background with Chloe.
Love the Sonny character, but this is obviously the beginning of Will’s coming out. Chandler Massey has been doing a superb job with this role so far. Don’t know how I’ll feel about any intimate scenes, though. After all, it is our Will, but we’ll just have to wait and see how or what they do with it.
Certainly hope Alice’s mystery wraps up soon, and that’s all I have to say about that.
Love, love, love Jen getting over on E.J. AND Nicole. Couldn’t happen to a better pair of snakes. If Nicole is too stupid to get out, then so be it … she can go down with the ship as far as I’m concerned.
Same response for Sami’s decision to work for Kate. She’s hell on wheels when it comes to a cat-fight, but she’s no match for Kate in business, and I think Kate will destroy her even more than these writers are doing. When I watch Sami now, I have this strange desire to fly to California and slap the new writers. They have no vision when it comes to Sami.
Finally, I absolutely adore the idea of Brady and John working together to solve John’s insolvency problems with Basic Black. I’m loving the idea of this father-son reuniting to capture and hopefully destroy the DiMera’s and their plan to destroy John.

ParticipantEOM.

Participantwere between Will and Marlena and also between John and Stefano. Intense is putting it mildly. I could feel every emotion Will and Marlena were having. As for John and Stefano, Drake and Joe were wonderful as well. I just loved how John controlled himself, even though I thought Stefano deserved at least a pistol-whipping. He is one delusional dude if he thinks Marlena cares anything at all about him. He’s trying to instigate John into giving him ‘what for’ and John didn’t fall for it. Loved all 4 actors yesterday, and Will and Marlena certainly did bring tears to my eyes. Also, at the end, when John returned and Marlena was so tense, and John apologized and told her that she was right …. that if it were him, he would have done the same for her. I just ate their scenes up yesterday …. all 4 of them.

ParticipantI like Carrie now, but she was not always the perfect wife either. Cheating on Austin with Mike, then cheating on Lucas with Austin, kinda’ tips her halo for me a little. LOL! Not that that has anything to do with her physical appearance. I think she has a nice smile. Just sayin’.
Patti
ParticipantI’d say the guy using the lawnmower was pretty lucky that Elvis was more into the mower than the man. LOL!
Patti
ParticipantMadison and Brady were pretty p.o.’d, but offered no threat except for an occasional "how could you?" so I’m thinking that because of their relationship, she didn’t even have a contract.
Patti
ParticipantAs soon as Kate walked in the door, she was as snarky and demanding as all hell about getting Sami’s answer. Kate: "Tell me I haven’t wasted my time coming over here." Sami: Good morning to you, too, Kate — would you like some coffee?" Kate: "No, let’s get this over with shall we? Are you going to accept my offer or not?" Right then and there, all the bells and wistles should have gone off in Sami’s mind; but, no, she trades quips instead and then takes Kate’s offer. Too bad, Sami, as much as I (and I realize I’m alone) still love ya’, once again you have proven, beyond a doubt, the subject of this post. Too bad the writers have seen to destroy you even more than I could have imagined.
