but knowing Stefano and Kate the way that we do, I would find it incredulous that Stefano would not have a pre-nup, even though he blackmailed her into marriage.  Plus, he still had the proof that she attempted to murder Chloe.  Maybe she found some way to get her hands on that information.  I wouldn’t doubt that, since Stefano has reminded her of that fact many times over.

then, most spoilers are misleading in some way.  They are meant to foil the fanbases into believing they are going to see the couples they love come together in one situation or another, and then when it doesn’t happen the way they hoped it would, TPTB can say we misinterpreted and only saw what we wanted to see.

but, honestly, I probably only watched about 15 minutes of this farce today and found myself fast-forwarding most of it.  Brady and Madison —- same boring dialogue; Ian and Kate —- somewhat interesting, but for all of Kate’s suspicion of Ian intentionally drugging Brady and then having him suddenly kiss her, knocking over her protein drink —- well, I would have thought Kate would have not let that slide by so easily, especially when she recognized it was the same powder that Brady has been using for his protein drink —- ugh, then the whole ordeal with the lie detector test was so bad, I was actually embarrassed for James Scott; the rest of them are naturally stupid —- oh, and let’s not ignore Carrie/Rafe/Austin except that they did not fail to be puke-worthy once again —- what more can we say about them that we haven’t said already, soooooo, once again, Nicole and Daniel saved the day, because for me they were the best thing on the screen today.  I just love, love, love them together.  By the way, who was the person in black who paid that sleazy little man to have the test rigged so that E.J. would fail it (ROTFLMAO) —- any takers it was Stefano?????  And, please, Will, wipe that stupid grin off your face and stop trying to be a tough guy before E.J. squashes you like the annoying little bug you are becoming —- you’re just not built for this role.  So, for me, they may as well have taken the scripts from today’s show and used them to line bird-cages.  But, at least Corday has AZ and SC to thank their part in today’s show — saved his a$$ BIG TIME.  The rest of these horrific scripts can be flushed, although there were so many today, they would probably cause a major toilet back-up!

and I am so anxious to see what John will have in store for Ian.  It’s about time Papa John came to the rescue.  I was proud of Brady yesterday for not taking the drugs.  Can’t wait to see John take Ian down, but sorry to know that Sarah Brown (Madison) will be leaving next month.  I really liked her and EM together.  Just don’t want to see him sniffing around Nicole again.  I want her to stay with Daniel.

there’s just something about them that is making me root for them more and more.  Not only do AZ and SC play terrifically off one another (no pun intended), but their characters do too.  Both have been burned by past relationships, so they’re not taking any chances by showing their cards too soon, and I like that about them.  I sort of like the way Daniel let Nicole know that he was "nobody’s back-up" — it gave Nicole a wake-up call that he’s not there strictly for sex; that he’s not her "booty call"; that he really is falling for her, so if her intention is to use him that way, he’s nipping it in the bud right now.  I don’t know who’s writing for them, but they’re doing a great job.  Go Dikki!

but he simply has no sense of self-worth.  Carrie can’t even stand to be in the same room with him let alone in bed with him any longer.  Even her flashbacks aren’t real.  Instead, she’s imagining her in bed with her sister’s husband, pointing out her sister’s faults to anyone who will listen, yet never, ever showing any remorse for her own infidelities, past and/or present.  Now, she’s using every means she possibly can to get away from Austin while searching for and finding any way imaginable to be near Rafe so she can cry and tell him they can’t go on like this.  I think the words "we have to find a way to stay away from each other" should be banned from their vocabularies, or at least they should both be struck by lightening every time they say them.  Actually, I would settle for Sami walking by and bitch-slapping both of them  followed by Austin punching Rafe and promising Carrie he’ll see her in court, then walk away, and mean it.  But, in all likelihood, he’ll take her twisted lip face in his hands, telling her "it’s illegal for anyone to be that beautiful", and finish with "my love", ‘I know this not your fault … it’s mine …. and you are just confused because you are pregnant, but I know we can make this work.’  See, now to me somebody like that deserves all the heartache he’s got coming to him.

when all I see on my screen day after day after day after day yadda yadda yadda is that smug, overbearing, overrated E.J. DiMera.  But, no writers are ever going to completely dissolve E.J. and Sami as long as they have kids together, and that will always bond them, and I hate that it does.  And, it’s not always Sami playing up to E.J.  He’s made it very clear lately that he cares for Sami, and she hasn’t even been in the scene.  I just hope when the new writers start after the Olympics and most of these stories are concluded, that JS, AS, and quite a few others I can think of, like Chad, Melanie, Gabbi, Andrew, and, yes, Will, are back-burnered for a while.  Oh, yes, and Carrie and Austin can leave anytime they’re ready, cause I am sooooo anxious to be rid of them.

I think it was about.com, that there was a huge storyline coming up for Caroline, but it didn’t state what it was about.  That’s something they haven’t tackled yet, so I’m looking forward to it.  Just hope it’s done right, not only with Peggy’s role, but for her family members, as well as those who care for her.  There have been family members of mine with Alzheimer’s, and it can be devastating for family and loved ones to watch or care for their dear family member who suffers from this horribly debilitating disease.  I hope the writers do it justice by researching the disease thoroughly.

    Storylines

Kristen initially came to Salem in 1993, as a social worker who soon met up with John Black. John couldn’t understand why Kristen wanted nothing to do with him until she revealed the shocking truth—she was Stefano’s foster daughter and had been raised by Stefano DiMera after the death of her parents when she was a child. Kristen and John were eventually able to overcome her connection to Stefano, but they weren’t able to overcome the fact that she was engaged to marry Stefano’s son, Tony. Unbeknownst to Kristen, she had actually become engaged to André DiMera who was pretending to be Tony DiMera. The real Tony was being held on an island somewhere in the South Pacific.

After numerous manipulations, Kristen wound up marrying André believing he was Tony, but it wasn’t long before she and John became lovers again, which was only helped by André having gone temporarily blind. Kristen eventually left André and prepared to have a future with John when the two learned he was a Catholic priest. Kristen could not come between John and his vows and returned to André, but when John was released from his vows, Kristen decided to petition the Church for an annulment so that her marriage to John would be recognised by the Church. Kristen and John were preparing for their future together when they, and many other Salemnites, traveled to Aremid. André staged his own death, framing John in the process. John was sentenced to death, with Kristen believing he did it. When John was exonerated, Kristen was relieved, even though she hadn’t trusted him.

Shortly after John was exonerated, Kristen discovered a letter he wrote vowing his love to Marlena, and also discovered that the mysterious Woman in White was actually Rachel Blake, the mother she believed had died years earlier. She also learned that she was pregnant. Marlena agreed to stay away from John because Kristen’s pregnancy was very delicate, and Kristen began to scheme to keep John and Marlena apart, even joining forces with Stefano in the hopes that he could get Marlena out of the picture permanently. Stefano held Marlena captive, and after John helped in her rescue, Kristen lost her baby, but convinced the doctor to keep quiet. Stefano, to help her, found Susan Banks, a pregnant Kristen-look-a-like, and arranged for Kristen to adopt her unborn child when it was born. The baby, named John Black Jr., was born and handed over to Kristen and John. Once Marlena realised the truth about Susan, who Kristen had to claim was a nanny to cover up when John caught them together, she arranged to have Marlena held hostage in a secret room.

Kristen wound up in the secret room with Marlena after Susan turned the tables on her, but luckily the two were rescued after Laura Horton forced Susan, who was about to marry John, to admit everything. Susan got her son back, and Kristen was arrested, but soon released on bail. John and Marlena began moving on with their lives together, so in a last-ditch effort to keep them apart, Kristen located a dying Roman. Because Roman could not handle any stress, John had to pretend to be married to Kristen while Marlena pretended that Roman was the man she wanted. She attempted to get close to the baby, whom Susan had rechristened Elvis (E.J. DiMera), but her plans failed, and Stefano turned his back on her. John and Marlena later got Susan and her son out of the country. Kristen then kidnapped Susan’s sister, Sister Mary Moira, and used that to bring Susan to town. When Susan didn’t bring the baby, she sold her to an island harem. She had to pretend to be Susan when her boyfriend, Edmund Crumb, and his mother showed up in Salem, and even married him during her pretending. She had no choice by then, as Salem assumed that Kristen had died—a body that looked a lot like hers was found in a swimming pool.

Susan and Edmund were able to meet up again, and Susan confessed that the body, whom Edmund had accidentally killed, believing she was Kristen, was also her sister—Penelope Kent. She was dying, so Edmund couldn’t be held at fault. Susan arranged to switch places with Kristen, leaving her in the island harem.

at least he evened the playing field for now and can, at any time he wishes, take that document to Roman, Bo and Rafe.  And E.J. won’t do crap to him as long as he doesn’t know where that document is.  Of course, Will hiding it where everyone apparently knows how to get into the Brady Pub safe might not have been a smart move.  But as long as E.J. doesn’t find it before-hand, Will can make his demands.  Of course, Will is just like Sami …. sooner or later he’ll swing for it, after he leaves quite a mess in his pants when E.J. does gain the upper hand again.  But, for now, I say have some fun with it Will.

about what they think about ANY character on this show.  It’s a message board ….. that’s all.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion regarding who they like or don’t like, so, that being said, I am NOT a Carrie fan, BUT I absolutely loved the scenes between Carrie, Sami and Marlena yesterday, because soap operas tend to think it’s a wonderful thing to now and then change a person in complete reversal of that character’s history.  They don’t do that with these three.  The characters have been this way for practically their entire existence.  What I did like yesterday is that we saw the good and the bad in each of them, including Marlena.  The writers brought out quite a bit that was not only truthful about these three, but they seemed to absorb it without the usual smack-down, and I would have been all for it if Carrie wasn’t pregnant.  Marlena was perfect in admonishing both girls, and yet realizing that both of them had some very valid points.  Good job, writers, on keeping it real.

Some great one liners, too, by all 3 of them.  Loved it!

Carrie:  "At least I don’t need a calendar to determine who my baby’s father is."

Sami:  "Yes, I made a mistake — one which my MOTHER and my SISTER made before me.

Now, now, girls …. play nice.  LOL.
