I’m also liking the family rallying around Caroline and would hope that most children would do the same thing for their mother or father.  You raise your children and, when the time comes for the roles to be reversed, it’s nice to see that Caroline’s children are now ready to switch places.  I’ve been caring for and living with an elderly relative with advanced dementia, and watching how swiftly the disease overcame her beautiful mind gave me a wake-up call, to say the least.  We just never know what will happen to us, but if something like this should happen to me, I would hope ….. no, I would know ….. that my children would be just as concerned, loving and caring as Bo has been with Caroline.  I think Caroline’s fear is the same as mine …. that if and when the time comes that life as we know it no longer exists, but we are still alive, I always pray to God that I never become a burden to children or to any of my loved ones, and I think that’s why Caroline is fighting them so hard.  When she referred to the next holiday as the 4th of July, I actually got a lump in my throat thinking to myself, Dear Lord, please don’t let this happen to me.

that was probably my favorite dance of all time on DWTS.  It was magnificantly choreographed, and Derek coached her with the true professional he is so that she could relax and do the routine showing a side of her she is not used to.  She seems to be quite shy, but she handled last night beautifully.  They could not have appeared more convincing for me that they were deeply in love, and that ending with Derek fading into the fog, which really did appear like icy water, was absolutely amazing.  I wouldn’t be surprised if she won it all this year.

I agree with MK that Gilles is coming off a bit too egotistical this season.  Don’t know why … he certainly doesn’t have to …. but he appears somewhat resentful when he is criticized on any level and appears not to like it when they don’t praise him enough.

Again, my poor Maks.  He may have taken over the choreography from Gilles with their team dance, but when Kirstie bent over, her butt in the air, and attempted to shake, rattle and roll, it was a bit more than I would have liked to see of her.  I don’t know how he did those two cartwheel lifts with her.  He must be strong as an ox.

Melissa is a beautiful dancer, but sometimes I think she tries to do too much.  Same goes for Sabrina for me.  Sometimes they just try and do too much too fast and mess up slightly, but yet very, very good.  People don’t like Kelly on a personal level, but I do.  She is so pretty and petite, and her dancing ability is just lovely to me.  Emmett is Emmett …. a huge man, yet light as a feather on his feet.

All in all, great all-star season, and picking the winner will probably come down to personal favorite rather than best dancer, but who can choose from this group (minus Kirstie) …. they’re all fabulous.

but they may have decided to do something like him being attacked or worse when he was in jail, or maybe there will be some sort of obsession story where he will pick up with Gabbi where he left off with Melanie.  I think it’s more of a fact that he knows now that Will is gay, so he’s sort of thinking perhaps that Will hid his sexual preference by dating Gabbi, therefore using her as his excuse to hide his true preference.  Whatever they have in store for Nick, I’m certain Blake Berris will do a terrific job with it.

than Kelly.  I’m not saying I like Kelly Monoco, although I love her on General Hospital; but, she’s certainly a better dancer than Kirstie.

didn’t Daniel insist that before he and Nicole went away together (this is before the fall) that she get her check-up with her doctor to make sure everything was okay and that it would be safe for her to travel?  So, all he needs to do is check with doctor either through an e-mail or a simple call and check her results of Nicole’s exam (I’m sure the hospital records would know how she could be reached for an emergency consultation).  For that matter she was supposed to let Nicole’s regular doctor know the baby was dead).  Or, he could check with the nurse who was there that morning after Nicole’s visit and that would tell him that her baby was dead.  Didn’t that nurse say something like "I"m so sorry Mrs. whatever she called her" after she came to schedule her inducing Nicole’s labor and dispeling of the fetus?  I don’t know why this hasn’t been approached.  There’s just so many ways Daniel should be checking on this and everyone else for that matter rather than just taking Nicole’s word.  I did read that soon this will ALL be over very soon.  The truth will come out after Daniel comes close to going away with Nicole, and all charges against Jennifer will be dropped.  However, if they leave it there, I think that would be a big mistake.  If they simply have Nicole pick herself up, dust herself off, and start all over again, that would be unbelievable to me.  Nicole should have some sort of mental breakdown or at least lead into her next round of love/hate story with E.J. (who God knows needs a rewrite), and maybe even get a little religious counseling from Father Eric Brady when he shows up in Salem.

the show was getting close to boring with the stories we are watching, and at least Kristin will add the kick it needs to get going again or, at the very least, keep me awake while watching.  Kristin has so much history and another villainess besides Kate DiMera will give it some spice.  Matter of fact, I wouldn’t mind seeing Kristin and Kate get into it at some point.

He is still a very handsome guy and well built for his age.  I, too, find Kate’s hair atrocious.  It looks fried!

that’s sort of what I expected, too; that it was not a center to treat the disease itself, but rather a teaching/learning center for patients/caregivers on what to expect through progression of the disease, which as far as I know is incurable and irreversible.  I have not heard or read anywhere that Caroline will be leaving the show, so I don’t understand how she will stay around.  Maybe Peggy McKay is retiring and we just don’t know about it yet.  If she is returning to Salem, I’m anxious to see how she will be playing the role, though.  I’ve always had a lot of respect for the actress and how she’s portrayed the Brady matriarch over the years.

James E. Reilly, and you think stories are ridiculous now, then I have to believe there’s still hope for these writers to turn it around.  What we are seeing today is nothing compared to the wacky si-fi crap that came across our screens in the days of JER, who was responsible for the days of Kristen/Susan.  I don’t think they are going to go there again, though, although there was a time when I read they were going to bring Susan back, too, who was also played by Eileen Davidson.

Ok, the deal will be that Peter’s last day on air will be October 30th, where he will leave, WITH CAROLINE, for a "treatment" facility in California where Caroline will be "treated" for Alzheimer’s.  Is there even such a thing?  I don’t think so.  Kayla supposedly finds this place, and Bo has self-appointed himself Caroline’s sole caregiver as she goes through her loss of life as she knows it.  He will be staying with her while she is there; BUT, the spoiler does have her returning to Salem at some point, without Bo.  This makes absolutely no sense.  So many contradictions to say the least.  So, my question now is what the heck becomes of Bo’s story and what will the reason be for Caroline returning, but not Bo????  Make sense to anyone???  Is there something I’m not seeing understanding here?  If Caroline returns without Bo, what will they have become of him?  This is so disrespectful to Peter Reckell, IMO.  Whether they have had contract negotiation breakdowns or whatever, this is a 20-year actor who deserves so much more than this.  Pitiful!

this will clear up any questions regarding Kristen/Susan.  I was glad to read it simply to bring it all back fresh in my mind again.

    "1993–98

Kristen first appears in Salem she was attacked by a mugger and rescued by a mysterious stranger.  Kristen is grateful until she realizes her savior is none other than John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo)’s longtime rival. Alice Horton (Frances Reid) notices the attraction between the two and sets it up for the two to continue running into one another. They later end up at the Horton family cabin where they make love for the first time. John soon discovers that she is Stefano’s daughter, but he is still very much in love with her. However, Kristen had promised her ailing father that she would marry Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis).[16] When Roman (Wayne Northrop) and Marlena Brady (Deidre Hall)’s daughter, Belle is kidnapped by their oldest daughter, Sami (Alison Sweeney), Kristen and John pose a married couple to help get her back. Stefano quickly breaks them up by revealing that John is actually Belle’s father. Realizing John will go back to Marlena, Kristen goes through with the marriage in February 1994 only for John to show up at the wedding accusing Stefano of Curtis Reed (Nick Benedict)’s murder. After Stefano is presumably killed by John, she goes through with her wedding to Tony, who was later revealed to be Tony’s look-a-like, André (Penghlis). Kristen later travels to the family estate in New Orleans, Maison Blanche where she is taken captive by a very much alive Stefano forcing John to come to the rescue. She later discovers "Tony’s" schemes to impregnate her and moves in with John. She and John are about to marry when it is revealed that John is actually a priest; Kristen a devout Catholic returns to "Tony."[17] In 1995, when Marlena becomes possessed by a demon, Kristen assist Father John in her exorcism. Later, John and Kristen reunited after he is released from his vows and her marriage to "Tony" is annulled. Kristen is diagnosed with a medical condition that will cause her to be infertile and she immediately begins trying to have a child. In November 1995, Kristen goes to Aremid as Peter is preparing to marry Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves). While there, "Tony" fakes his death and frames John. Though she believes in John’s innocence, Peter forces Kristen to testify against him despite John being exonerated.[18]

In 1996, the mysterious Woman in White came to Salem and moved into the DiMera mansion with Kristen, John and Marlena.[2] Kristen soon discovers she is pregnant and Marlena agrees to move out due to her pregnancy being very high risk.[18] The Woman in White is soon revealed to be her presumed dead mother, Rachel.[2] Realizing John would always love Marlena more than her, Kristen helps Stefano fake her death in a plane crash. John discovers Marlena is alive and goes to rescue her in Paris forcing Rachel and Kristen to follow. In August 1996, Kristen is hospitalized after an explosion kills her mother and she miscarries her child.[19][2] Stefano soon reappears in Salem and hires Kristen’s look-a-like, Susan Banks (Davidson) to carry a child that Kristen would raise as her and John’s. With the help of her father and Peter, Kristen fakes her pregnancy. When Susan goes into labor, Kristen disguised as a nurse is forced to watch as John marry Susan, believing she is really Kristen. Kristen gets custody of the child long enough to name him John Black, Jr. and Susan soon returns to claim her child and "husband". Kristen enlist Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) and Ivan in keeping Susan locked in a secret room but Marlena puts the pieces together and Kristen is forced to lock her away.[20][21] When Susan discovers the truth, sick of Kristen’s manipulations she locks Kristen inside the room and attempts to marry John until Laura Horton (Jamie Lyn Bauer) confronts her at the wedding. After being rejected by John due to her scheming, Kristen’s failed attempt to kill Marlena lands her in jail. After being released on bail, she attempts suicide after hearing about John and Marlena’s engagement. She then revealed Marlena’s presumed dead husband, Roman Brady (now Josh Taylor); John and Kristen then pretended to marry to keep Roman becoming suspicious.[22] When John and Stefano ruin her attempt to get back Susan’s son, Elvis (aka John, Jr.), she reveals that Roman and Marlena have been seeing one another.[20][23] Kristen’s attempt to force Susan into giving the child back ends with the death of Susan’s identical sister, Sister Mary Moira. Fearing she’ll be charged with murder, Kristen pretends to be Susan and is forced to marry Susan’s boyfriend, Edmund Crumb (Adam Caine).[24] In the meantime, "Susan" and Edmund went on a honeymoon and Laura is arrested for Kristen’s murder.[20] Edmund admits to Kristen’s "murder" and they soon run into the real Susan who explains that Kristen sold her into a harem; it is then revealed that revealed that the dead person was Susan’s other sibling, Penelope Kent. To get revenge against Kristen, Susan exchanges her freedom for Kristen to be sold to the harem.[25][26]

    [edit] 2012—

Stefano visits Kristen in Europe, where she has been living thanks to Stefano’s help. During his encounter, he pleads with her to return to Salem in order to mend the relationships in the DiMera family; and she instantly rejects him.[27] After some pushing, Kristen finally agrees to return to Salem for Stefano’s sake, however, they agree that she should return alone and Stefano would follow."[28]

that these writers, both of whom are familiar with the history of the characters of DOOL, are simply wrapping up the mess left behind by both Higley and MarDar, the old writers, as quickly as they can and we will be seeing new story-lines with more familiar character driven stories.  I agree, this was one of the worst stories written and the sooner it’s over, the better.   I’m looking forward to November sweeps where we will hopefully begin to see a new and improved DAYS.

Sami’s no angel; never has been, never will be, but in this instance she’s right as rain.

There is nothing this guy could lose in his life that would make me feel sorry for him.  Right now I’m disgusted with the writers making every character in Salem be about revenge, payback, getting even, tit-for-tat.  It’s not entertaining and it’s not what a soap opera is supposed to bring to its general audience.  I don’t know what happened to soaps today, but I can certainly remember the days when the ratings were through the roof.  Now, not only are there only 4 soaps left to view, but you see the same stupid plots on all of them, and ratings have plummeted.  It’s no wonder with stories like these.  I’m close to giving up, since I see no changes in sight that will make me excited to wait patiently each day for my soap.  Now, not so much.  And it’s because of the never-ending story that writers insist on staying with today that not only do not entertain me, but they actually anger me because no one pays for what they do, story lines are repeated time and time again, and family values, romance and intrigue are thrown under the bus for the likes of how much pain characters can inflict on one another and get away with it.  I would rather see some actors leave than be turned into what I see on my TV today, and JS/E.J. is probably close to or at the top of my list.  I don’t even find him that attractive anymore.  JMO.

I don’t think the old Cameron is attractive at all.  Maybe it’s his Jay Leno chin.
