Participantto becoming the next great quarterback of superbowls to come, but right now that honor belongs to Joe Flacco … MVP of Superbowl XVVII. "Joe Cool," as we refer to him now!
I think Beyonce’s light show was responsible for putting the "lights out" for 34 minutes of the game. Both teams stayed limber, but it must have been agonizing on the inside for the players as well as the coaches. I know it was wearing me down and I wasn’t even there. LOL!

Participantthem put Nicole with Rafe, since she did have feelings for him before she went so gung-ho over Dr. Dan; also, Rafe truly cares for Nicole and maybe if he had some idea of how she felt about him, things may have turned out differently for both of them. I also love his working/personal relationship with Hope, but I don’t think it will turn out to be Hope Brady. No way! Right now, Eric is disappointed in Nicole for what she did to Kristen and to Brady, and has let her know it. I can see her sad and distressed, feeling she’s lost not only Brady’s friendship but now Eric’s as well. So where else would she go to drown her sorrows? To a bar, where she will meet up with a mad yet depressed Rafe, and the rest will be obvious to me …. nature will take its course between them. I just do not want to see Eric be tempted to break his vows for anyone.

Participantbut Rafe has always been jealous of E.J. and vice-versa. Now, they all need to stop going at each other and let Gabi and Will handle the situation with their child and with Nick, and have everyone else, including Rafe, stop offering their advice unless Gabi and Will as parents ask for it. But, at the same time, Gabi has to speak up more for herself than she does. She is completely influenced by Nick AND by Rafe and does let them control her life — at least that’s the way I see it and I think that’s the way Sami sees it. Sami just doesn’t know how to listen, and in that respect she has not improved …. not yet anyway.
Patti
Participantbut I have seen a few of them, and some are really inappropriate for a game quite a lot of kids will be watching. Some of those godaddy.com adds don’t leave much to the imagination either.

Participantthan any others we’ve seen. This is her grandchild, too. Why wouldn’t she be concerned when all she has seen is Gabi agreeing to everything Nick says where the baby is concerned. She is, however, looking at the wrong one when she verbally attacks Gabi. She and everyone else needs to see the Nick Fallon we see every day he’s on screen, especiallly Rafe. I cannot wait until that happens.
Patti
Participantwe disagree. I can definitely see an improvement in Sami. Maybe it has nothing to do with E.J. and more to do with the way she’s looking at things now. After all, this is her grandchild, too. I think she’s slowly improving in the way she puts a lot of blame on herself for the way she raised Will and she is in mommy protective mode now every time she believes they are trying to keep Will from his child, and she’s not completely wrong about that (enter Nick Fallon), but the improvement in Sami is there if anybody wants to take the time to look for it. I personally think this new writing for her and E.J. may just be the best thing to happen to both of them. I don’t want to see E.J. be Stefano any more than I do Sami to be Kate. They have Kristen for that now. I’m choosing to walk around in a fog for a while until I see if things will clear up for them as a couple and not just their individual actions or reactions to their problems. As far as Rafe is concerned, he’s more jealous that she chose E.J. over him, and like Chloe using Parker as her crutch to get back at Jen and Daniel, Rafe will use Gabi and her and Will’s child to take his anger out on Sami and E.J. I need Rafe to take a step back and see what he’s really upset about and what’s really happening in Gabi’s life right now, because if he doesn’t, his wacko future brother-in-law is going to give his little sis a number of reasons Rafe truly needs to fear for her. Time will tell, I guess.

ParticipantI don’t believe we’ll ever see another Superbowl like this one in our lifetime. It will definitely be historic and I’m so happy you’re as into it as I am.
Patti
Participantbut that’s just another "staple" storyline in all of them. Everyone in town knows, or makes it their business to know, everyone else’s business, sometimes even before that person or persons even know it themselves. I see it on Y&R and GH, which are the other two soaps I watch, and clearly it’s written in the writers’ handbook of must-write storylines.
Patti
Participantand for some reason, I believe the writing will be hard enough to have Sami and E.J. accepted as a true couple than adding insult to injury by having her get pregnant again. Besides, she’s probably going to be trying too hard to get Will’s parental rights nailed down so she can be a part of her grandchild’s life. What I’m wondering more than her getting pregnant is whether or not her and E.J. will eventually marry and live as man and wife, separate families be damned! I don’t see her with another pregnancy, now or in the immediate future.
Patti
Participantto make it work. It depends on the writing whether or not people will ever accept them. For EJami fans, it’s all good right now; for Safe fans, not! For Sami haters, the feelings for her will never change, regardless of who she is with. For me, I’m not crazy about it, but I’m willing to sit back and wait until I see what kind of story unfolds with them as a real couple, finally giving in to the fact that they simply can’t stay away from one another, no matter what the circumstance. I’m not passing judgment until I see what the writers bring to the table, now that they have evidently decided to go with EJami.

Participantbefore this trip, but of course it was before she went back with Jack, so I assume it’s this big event for them to make sure this is what they both want to do before some final commitment. Such b/s is right. I cannot say that I’m enthused about Chloe coming back the way she is being written. She’s still dark and conniving, but what I can’t stand most about her is her using that little boy as a human shield as her excuse to break up Dan and Jen. I know Maggie is a buttinsky, but I was cheering her on yesterday when she gave Chloe a dose of reality. I don’t know how long Chloe will be here or how they will write her exit story, but it can’t come fast enough for me —- and she can take Anne with her. I’m hoping one of these times Maxine will come out and tell her she doesn’t belong behind the nurse’s station and to make and receive her calls from her own office. Or, better yet, that Kayla steps in or overhears her ranting about Jennifer. Daniel didn’t hire Jennifer….Kayla did ….. you remember Kayla, don’t you, Anne —- Your Chief of Staff! I would love to see that.

Participantthey would have begun to write better for Ali Sweeney, since she is the "golden girl" in Corday’s eyes, but if I have to say one thing it would be that they do keep her true to her character. I think her attacks on Gabi now are making her even more grotesque than her convincing herself she wants to be with E.J. Why they continue to destroy an iconic character I will never begin to understand. And E.J. as this mushy, wussy, "let me lay down and let you walk all over me" is a constant reminder of how they have ruined him as well. If they insist on going through with their relationship, they better find a way to fix them; otherwise, they are never going to watchable. Watching these two interact now is such a disappointment for me. I guess I will never understand why these writers or any other people who make up TPTB continue to destroy these two terrific actors. I have to say, I didn’t find their acting horrible yesterday, especially Sami’s. I loved the way E.J. remained silent throughout her entire confession and profession that no matter how hard they try, they simply cannot stay away from one another, regardless of the circumstances surrounding why, indeed, they should. Everyone has said they just wish she would pick one and be done with it. Well, seems she finally did.

Participantor so I’ve read, even with the invisible Bo getting on all of our nerves. I think her very intentional refusal to discuss Bo’s whereabouts with Rafe was the start something here. I got the clear impression that she is purposely hiding Bo’s whereabouts (whether he comes back to Salem or not), but I think she is supposed to get involved in her own story soon. I don’t know if it will be by February sweeps or May’s, but she is going to get a new story. I’m glad, because I really like Kristian Alfonso. She is a staple on the show, and the fact that they just have her wandering around butting into everyone else’s business is tragic to me. This is Hope Brady, for goodness sake, and I would also bet that she re-signed her contract knowing that Peter Reckell was leaving, so I’d also be wiling to bet KA didn’t agree to doing that if she knew all she would be doing is walking around Salem looking to find who’s business she can get into.
