The Thorn Birds as a reference for Nicole’s feelings for Father Eric. It’s been discussed on many boards since Eric returned to Salem, so it’s nice to see that the writers may have been paying attention to something that has been on the minds of a lot of fans. Score 1 for whoever wrote that line.
but my question is will they find the razor? I suspect not, but where did it go? That’s why I’m sure Sami will be kept in jail for quite a while —- no evidence, and dead men tell no tales. Sami sure does manage to “step in it” more often than not, and I’m betting a lot of other people will be pulled into this story to make it work well as another terrific umbrella s/l.
Kristen and Sami, and then Kristen and Nicole. I also loved the scene with Kristen and Eric today as well. Great scenes, and patiently waiting for more to unfold this week. Keep it up writers. DOOL’s finally going in the right direction with the current storylines (except for the DH’s), and from what I can tell, they are going to continue throughout the summer. Kudos!!!
and they have certainly done this with John and Marlena. For him to have to say those words to Marlena today was utter nonsense. I’m convinced Tomsell doesn’t like Drake and had no intentions of writing him in any positive way as far as he and Marlena are concerned. I think he will be leaving soon. Shame on you writers and especially Corday, who knows full well that this is something that never should have happened, under any circumstance whatsoever.
she may love Rafe and care for him, but she is not IN LOVE with him. What concerns me is when Rafe recovers, will Maxine tell him what she witnessed between Sami and an unconscious Rafe? Worse, will E.J. hear about it and take it as something other but genuine concern by Sami for Rafe’s recovery, since she is still blaming herself? I don’t think so, but we all know “love” is just another 4-letter word on soaps. I personally believe E.J. will stand by Sami through all of this, and Rafe’s affections will turn to the actress coming in as his physical therapist, whom I believe will be Chrishell Stause. Then the triangle will be between her, Rafe and Kate and Sami will not be a factor. But, boy, won’t Kate be shocked to learn that the gun she gave Sami to protect her from the DiMeras was used to save Rafe instead? Actually, Kate should be thanking Sami for allowing her to continue bedding Rafe, who evidently will remain a “whole” man.
it’s Jennifer that surprised me more than Daniel. First, and foremost, NO ONE has a right to put their hands on another person’s child, and Daniel should realize that he left Abigail in charge and immediately thought to inquire about her whereabouts before going off on J.J. Not that I was completely disappointed that J.J. finally got a little comeuppance …. he knows darn well what he has been doing to Daniel since he’s returned. Also, remember that Abbey did ask J.J. to watch Parker while she went to do some task on Dan’s computer, so in a sense J.J. was not paying attention to Parker when Abbey specifically asked him to keep an eye on him. All in all, I agree that it was another stupid plot, but for what purpose I’m still trying to figure out. Yes, Parker could have been seriously hurt, but thank goodness he was not. Doesn’t excuse any of them, when you think about how this whole thing went down. My surprise was how Jennifer was so shocked when Daniel mentioned J.J. may have been responsible for vandalizing his car. Really, Jennifer, isn’t that exactly what you thought when Maggie told you she saw J.J. in the hospital parking garage the day/night Daniel’s windows were smashed? That entire segment was over-acted, unbelievable and completely unnecessary. A bit of a downward spiral considering the show has been so great lately.
that’s what makes message boards so much fun, especially if we keep it civil when it comes to expressing our individual opinions. What’s going to happen next week will begin a whole new storyline for Sami; one that will keep her, again, front-burner for months, and will involve a good part of the cast. I can say, though, that I think it will be interesting in a good soapy sort of way.
As for Kate, the character hasn’t been deserving of any accolades for her lifestyle, yet Sami Brady is constantly the bad one, the jealous one, the man-eater so undeserving of any good happening in her life. And, isn’t that the way most people feel it should be if it is a character they simply do not like and refuse to see anything good about them? I adore Lauren Koslow for her acting ability every bit as much as I do Eileen Davis, but the villainous antics of Kate or Kristen or even Nicole for that matter never seem to be demonized as much as Ali Sweeney’s Sami, and that I just cannot wrap my head around.
To each his own, and that should always be accepted in soaps; but, I have always loved the character of Sami, and I suppose I always will. I’m looking for no arguments with anyone here; this is, simply put, my POV, which obviously I feel the need to express when I defend her, because from what I can tell, no one else will (LOL).
Sami Brady is not going anywhere unless and until Alison Sweeney says she is, and that’s perfectly fine with me. Kate Roberts, on the other hand, is a pathetic cougar trying to make herself believe that Rafe loves her (“oh, Rafe, you have given me back my soul”) — (gag), when that could not be further from the truth on Rafe’s part. Sure, he enjoys the action he’s getting — what red-blooded man wouldn’t — BUT they are nothing more than f*** buddies. Now, he just doesn’t care who knows it. And, look where it’s gotten him. Why do you think he’s in this predicament now that Stefano has decided he wants revenge. For what, I don’t know, since he doesn’t want Kate either; he just doesn’t want her canoodling with anyone else to fulfill her needs. Kate has NOTHING for Sami to be jealous of. Sami and Kate have always hated one another’s guts; this is not a new development for them. Sami may appear jealous, which is how Kate is seeing it, when truthfully she (Sami) just does not want to see Rafe get hurt any further than he already has, and Lord knows anyone who associates with Kate Roberts for any length of time winds up in the jaws of death sooner or later.
I have no concerns about Sami going off-screen anytime soon. She is involved in too many stories right now, so what does that say about how TPTB feel about her? Sami will prevail. She always does.
Chad transferred that video to Sonny’s phone as well as to E.J.’s, so they’ll both probably watch it at some point and will take what they believe will be necessary action to prop this ridiculous plot point. E.J. will in all likelihood use it to defend Sami in some way, whereas Adrienne will use it to run interference between Sonny and Will. I hope Sonny tells her to butt out. They’ve had enough people trying to destroy their relationship, IMO. Maybe Justin will put a muzzle on her.
and Casey is much too nice looking a young man to ruin his looks with a fad hairstyle that does absolutely NOTHING to compliment his looks, but makes him appear rather clownish to me.
it is criminal behavior, as in: getting kicked out of school for selling drugs; taking money from his mother and letting her believe it is for school when it is for drugs; partnering with that other dufus, Rory, in buying drugs with the intention to distribute; vandalism; property damage; and I’m sure soon to be theft. Regardless of how much he resents Daniel being in his mother’s life, this is not the way to go about getting his message across. I hope he gets busted for drugs and they leave him in a juvenile facility to teach him a life’s lesson. I just can’t cope with this kid.
and I think I read somewhere that there is someone already cast as a D.A., so I think we will be getting a trial. I just hope it’s for Sami shooting Bernardi, and not for corporate espionage.
Chad must have either been somewhere at the HTS taking a video of that crazy dancer or, like you said, he picked it up on line, when Sami ran by chasing Bernardi. So, my next guess is if Sami, for some reason, returns to the hospital and saves Rafe from being castrated by catching Bernardi in the act, shoots him and winds up in jail, that video will be used against her as evidence at her trial. If this speculation turns out to be true, looks like summer might not be so boring after all.
