next week, or maybe the following week, but I’m still not sure if Casey isn’t being replaced, or if they are just going to write Chad out. I know that casting was advertising for a young man who had to be over (or at least) 6′ tall with dark hair, and I still thinks it was for Chad, but nothing has been announced yet, except to hint that Chad may or may not be seen after Halloween. Still, my guess is he’s being re-cast.

of some of the cast in the HTS with Halloween decorations. Don’t know about the others yet, but I know they already taped Christmas, but haven’t heard anything about Thanksgiving. Casey Deidrick’s last day on screen is on Halloween (pretty sure I read that somewhere). I also read that Galen Gering’s RL kids are in the Christmas story scenes this year.

long ago. His work was mediocre at best, and his attitude was atrocious. That young man has severe mental health problems. You know it had to be bad when his own mother brought it up on his webcam — she asked him if “someone else showed up” or something like that, so he’s evidently had this problem for years. So glad he’s gone.

but not much. Either they wised up and would rather leave fans in suspense, or the networks, soap mags, and soap talk sites, as well as the actors facebook and twitter accounts, have either been requested or instructed NOT to release too many spoilers, which is probably a good thing. I lurk on several boards, and they are all lacking in what used to be long lists of spoilers, sometimes weeks in advance. I do know that now that Sami’s trial is practically over and done with, and Fall has begun, things are going to heat up pretty quickly. Summer always seems to slow down in soaps, but now that we’re approaching the holiday seasons (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), I have no doubt we will be watching some storylines come to and exciting end, while at the same time others begin. I’m looking forward to November sweeps, where I’m sure we’ll see the end of Kristin Dimera. My hope is that she takes Stefano with her. I do NOT like this hold he has on E.J., which I don’t expect to last forever, but someone finally taking Stefano down would certainly be something I would look forward to.

Valerie may not have been the best, but she did a very nice foxtrot with Tristan (who I think is absolutely adorable anyway), and believe me when I say she held her own and looked terrific for not just someone with her health challenge, but the woman is 73 years old, and she looked very elegant out there. Good job. I’m sure she’ll be safe, and not just because of a sympathy vote.

he didn’t cower to that old man for nothing. Between E.J. and Chad, the new DiMeras will fight back. I must say, however, it was great watching Joe M. play out those scenes. E.J. certainly did exactly as fatha’ predicted — fall on his knees and beg Stefano to take back what E.J. stole from him. These are the DiMeras, and I don’t like to see any one of them cowering and crying and on their knees kissing their father’s ring or hand or whatever. That just cements my feelings that E.J. is truly, truly in love with Sami to give up like that when he could have easily overtook that old man physically. He just wanted to save his Samantha. Great scenes between JS and JM yesterday. Now let’s just see how happily ever after this family is going to live together.
