The Chargers offense waited until the fourth quarter before they decided to show up for this game, and it ended up costing them against the somewhat surprisingly ineffective Denver Broncos, and I only say “ineffective” if you compare this game to the ones that got them in the playoffs in the first place. Although, they (the Broncos) were facing a highly revved up team who had the dubious honor of having already beaten them this season, the Chargers fell short. Now, Mike McCoy’s team will head home while Peyton Manning and the Broncos advance to take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. So here we go….the final four….and now, the real fun begins (for some, I guess).

great game, but a little too close for comfort for you, I would imagine. In any case, your Broncos are one step closer to the Superbowl! I’m happy for Peyton. I don’t know how many years he has left (he’s 37), or even if the Broncos will beat their next opponent, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (Ouch), but he’s certainly going to go down in NFL history as one of the greatest (some would say THE greatest) QB’s to ever play the game. Kudos!

but this is the only match-up I seem to be torn with, because I have a lot of respect for the chargers this year, and as a fan I’m a QB’s delight, and although I think Peyton Manning deserves it this year, I have a huge admiration for Philip Rivers, too. Don’t get me wrong, I have believed from the beginning of the season when Peyton and the Broncos made us (the Ravens) look like a high-school team that this was going to be a great year for the Broncos, and I think I even posted that in a message directly to you in that regard. Tough teams this year —- but with so many new players on our offense, defense and special teams, we couldn’t gel as a team …. but look out for us next year. LOL! Good luck to everyone still alive in the playoffs!!!

which I honestly don’t care about, I will be rooting for my other picks, with the exception of the Patriots, who, like the Steelers, I would never consider rooting for anyway (LOL), unless, of course, I needed their win/loss for the Ravens to get in.

    GO 49ERS!!!!
    BRONCOS/CHARGERS STILL A TOSS-UP FOR ME!

to beat the Saints (mainly because I have no respect for Sean Payton as a head coach) and, as much as I dislike their ORIGINAL team leaving Baltimore, I’m still going to root for the Colts tonight (mainly because I never root for the Patriots…LOL). I still enjoy watching the playoffs, even though our Ravens didn’t make it this year (truthfully, I didn’t expect them to).

Whoops, I may have spoken too soon….the Saints just made it a one score game.

Tomorrow’s games are a no-brainer for me. As much as I like the Panthers, I have to keep my cheering section in the Ravens’ family of coaches and root for Jim Harbaugh’s 49’ers to take that game.

The Broncos are my pick to win it all; however, Manning doesn’t have great success in advancing in the playoffs, and I must say I do like the heck out of Philip Rivers and the Chargers. Tough choice for me there.

I know it’s a soap opera, all of which tend to write this insulting, OTT dialogue throughout a scene, followed by a senseless stare at the end of each segment, and honestly it drives me nuts, too. I want to scream at the actors instead of the writers, and sometimes do. So many other things I can think of that bug me about soaps as well, yet I continue to watch or tape every day. Does that make me a glutton for punishment??? LOL!!!. I just think it’s the norm for writers of a soap, something like “soap opera writing 101” being mandatory for all writers. I lurk on lots of boards, and the writing or writers are generally criticized on all 4 soaps remaining on the air.

What a great surprise for that woman. The look on Peter’s face when Bryan kissed her was hysterical. Thank you for sharing that powerpaw2.

thanks to you, casey. What a terrific idea that was. Hope the new members keep posting, along with others. Meanwhile, I want to personally welcome DeeBaby, robertawcats and barbs974 to our little Salem Place family. I hope you enjoy being with us on a daily basis, or at least from time to time, as much as we will enjoy seeing you here. Yes indeed, I am a HUGE EJAMI fan, unlike many of our regular posters, but hey, we’re human….we can’t help who we like….or not. Anyway, welcome to our world, new friends.

Somebody knows the truth besides the two of them now. My guess is Stefano, but I’m sort of hoping it’s Sami (who returns from her trip on Monday’s show). If so, boy did she get an earful!!!

as much as I love our regular posters, we all seem to know one another so well, our likes, dislikes, favorite couples, favorite villains, etc…. Guess that’s why it’s always the same ones butting heads from time to time. LOL! It would be so nice to see some new points of view for a change. So, please join us.

Guess he just meant as long as Chad pulled through. However, I seriously do not believe they will allow Stefano or any of his minions to kill Dr. Jonas. He may, however, try and get his hands on the evidence against Kristen. That’s more his M.O. this day and age. On the other hand, Stefano has been turned into a cartoon villain, IMO. Nowhere like the Stefano of old to me.

let’s review a little Abbey history here. Case(s) in point, Austin and Carrie, ignoring, lying to, and/or manipulating her best friend into going on that ski trip just to trap Austin into bed (even though she knew he was there with his WIFE), which friend, through that entire little stalker storyline, tried with all her might to talk Abbey out of going after Austin, a VERY MARRIED MAN; then there was Abbey the tease, trying to burn two sides of the candle with her mixed emotional messages, sexually enticing poor Cameron on more than one occasion, who really was a sweet and loving guy who truly cared for her until he finally wised up; and let’s not forget Abigail playing Cameron against Chad with her ping-pong actions regarding who she wanted to be with; oh, and can we also not forget, E.J. tried several times to stop her in her tracks, but Abbey turned aggressive, touching E.J., undressing E.J., kissing E.J. first, ignoring his trying to reject her advances, but by that time they were both like two cats on a hot tin roof and by then Abigail knew exactly what she wanted, and what she wanted was to bed E.J. DiMera, KNOWING all the while that he was an engaged man; but, oh, yes, let’s give Abbey the golden angel medal of honor because she was “young and dumb and full of ***, and E.J. was the wolf in sheep’s clothing? Poor dumb, inexperienced little Abbey. Personally, she is the perfect description of the ways of the mother passing down to the daughter, however, I like Jennifer much more than her daughter. Now, please don’t get me wrong….I’m not completely defending E.J. What I will go so far as to say is that both Abbey and E.J. were wrong, and like Eric said today, hiding the truth always finds its way to the surface sooner or later, so I’m sure E.J. will get his just desserts eventually, but please DO NOT try and convince me how pure, innocent, demure and inexperienced Abigail Horton Devereaux is in this unholy mess. By the way, justwondering, most of the time I love your posts, but I get it ….. you hate E.J. DiMera, and that’s your right!!! <3
