You aren’t seriously asking this question? Many actors and characters were born before the show came on. Doug, Julie, John, Marlena, Steve, Kayla, Abe, Paulina, Hope, Bo, the list goes on.
There is recourse, but it doesn’t mean you get fired immediately. My husband is retired from the military and I have a friend whose husband is in FBI. People make mistakes. They don’t get fired immediately. There is usually something written up in their files and what usually happens is that the write up usually prevents a person from rising in the ranks as quickly as those with spotless records. There is a lot of money put into training these agents. They don’t get fired immediately for a mistake. Now if Andrew had done something criminal, that would be a different case. Criminal actions definitely have career consequences that usually result in dismissals. And yes, it’s possible that an ISA agent couldn’t tell the difference between a real deal and a fake. Also, did Andrew go to “Paul’s” rescue in an official capacity? I don’t think so. He went to rescue his boyfriend as an individual. Another big difference.
Victor is Sonny’s grandfather, and Titan is a private corporation. I’m sure things work a little differently in the ISA. It’s like working for the FBI or CIA. One mistake doesn’t get you fired. They are govt. agencies and they do things differently than private businesses.
From everything I’ve seen, Stefan is staying. Camilla Banus wanted to leave to pursue other career options, not because she’s pregnant. And speaking of pregnant, she isn’t pregnant. She does want to have kids, but she’s not pregnant. I also just saw a rumor that the character Gabi may end up pregnant. I am still holding out hope for a re-cast.
I do think Andrew should have involved the ISA if he thought Paul had been kidnapped. He certainly shouldn’t have gone out on his own.
The bad guys can go after wives and girlfriends too. Think how many times Marlena has been kidnapped because of John’s ISA affiliation. And when Shane Donovan was on Days, and he was in love with Kimberly, there were times when she was in danger because of his ISA work. There’s no way you can say this is exclusively because Andrew is gay.
So how do you think they’ll write off Gabi, if there’s no re-cast. I can’t see her being killed off like they did Abby. If they send her away like to see Ari in NZ, I don’t know how they make that permanent, without Stefan. I would hope they don’t break up her and Stefan while they are on their high of happiness and bliss. I’m just not able to think of any other way to explain Gabi being gone with a re-cast in the future.
Well, regardless, from spoilers I’ve read, and this is a spoiler board, Eric finds out about Nicole’s pregnancy this week. By the end of the week, Nicole gets ready to tell EJ she’s pregnant. So I guess they aren’t going to drag this out forever.
I think she explained that yesterday. There was a relationship with a Von Leuschner and that’s how she got pregnant with Dmitri.
